  • Very nice effort

  • to connect your pc, get the VGA to HDMI Converter box from Monoprice for $35 (just Google it). works great.

  • i have same tv and i need to connect to my pc desktop but i dont see the vga port like the others tv.thanks.

  • @MsRafa28 You can use the DVI port of your video card plus an adapter to attach it to an HDMI cable. If your video card does not have a DVI port, then you can also get another type of adapter setup to make it all work. It's in the manual that came with the TV. Mine only cost $399.99 so I wasn't expecting bells and whistles....but it sure is a great TV. I'm using it as a monitor right now!

  • hi..i have same tv and i want to connect my tv to my pc..but i dont see any way how to do it.where is the vga port for this tv..need your help plissss...thanks

  • @MsRafa28 It does not have a VGA port unfortunately. Does your PC have a HDMI port? If so, then you should be able to connect your PC to it.

  • Sorry type error I mean me.

  • I own this tv can anyone tell be why there's a a line running half why down the screen from the top.. The line can only be see when the screen is panning like when watching sports. Because the screen pans a lot the line can only be seen on really light colors when panning.

  • I'd bump the color up to at least 50, the colors look washed out by the looks of it. Anyways, I might pull the trigger on the 43D450 hehe. But if it can't offer the same quality in Color ot black levels that my CRT can pump out than it's most likely going to be a no. Anyways, how are the black levels on this set? Do they blend into the bezel?

  • @Donatello97 The black levels on this set are amazing! Much better than a CRT in my opinion.

  • do you ever notice some greyish vertical lines on lighter screen pictures like when watching ice hockey?

  • @MrXpatrick No, I've never noticed any greyish vertical lines.

  • does anyone know how to hook up my logitech computer speakers to this???

  • i just got the tv but it skips channels when i go back or forward! sum1 please help me :(

  • @longanddeadly Please PM me and explain exactly what's going on and I can try to help.

  • @johnnyjohnson problem already taken care off. It would only show channel i physically clicked with remote via the numbers so i did it too all of them...before that it would only show channel i physically clicked via numbers..example if i clicked on remote 32. then 39

the tv would go from 32 straight to 39 if i pressed forward...so i had to just physically enter every single channel..and now it works...i still use old cheap ass cable btw ...no hd for me yet....

  • @johnnyjohnson another thing.. do you know by any chance how to make the colours for a lack of a better word, deep.

I keep seeing reflections in the screen...

  • Does the base (stand) pivot on this model or is it fixed?

  • @cf104b It's fixed.

  • Donno if I'd rather go with this or a 1080p LCD tv.

    Having a hard time deciding.

  • @VideoGameMaster360 What size TV are you looking at? If you're going over 50" then 1080p would probably be better for you. Anything under that you really can't tell a difference unless you are closer than about 7 feet away. In my opinion, LCD does not have the picture quality of a plasma set. However, if you are in a room that gets a lot of sunlight, you may want LCD since plasma does get a lot of glare.

  • Have you experienced any image retention, burn in, with this display. I've heard that plasmas in the past had a lot of problems with this, but is it the same case with more modern sets.

  • @Ferraritestdriver I have not had any issues. The set has a pixel shift orbiter, which prevents this from happening.

  • Boxing Day sales have this baby going for $400 Canadian ... worth the steal then? I'm just torn currently on putting in the extra coin and going for a true 1080p LCD or plasma but is there honestly that substantial of a difference when watching higher resolution movies? Also does this have DVI in or just strictly HDMI? Just looking for a bit of backwards compatibility.

  • @nickzivs At this size, if you are more than 5 feet away from the TV, you will not be able to tell a difference. Anything over 50" you probably want a 1080p plasma. It only has HDMI and component inputs, no DVI. Thanks for watching, and best of luck on your purchase!

  • @johnnyjohnson Hey man, thanks for the unbelievably quick response haha. Honestly, $400 I'm pretty much sold regardless. I'll only be around 5-10ft away from it at most and the majority of what I'll be watching is broadcasted in 720p. No DVI/VGA hurts a bit but I'll find some way to adapt it or I'll build a media system. Thanks again for the quick response, Happy Holidays!

  • @nickzivs LOL! No problem. I just happened to be checking my email when you commented. Happy holidays to you as well!

  • @nickzivs just bought it and brought it home. Unreal picture for the price. Can't be beat.

  • I've searched the internets but couldn't find an answer, maybe you can help me out. Is the "Audio Out" (between the Digital Audio Out (Optical) and Component Audio In and directly below the EX-LINK) an analog output, ie a 3.5mm headphone jack?

  • @jiggajayd That's a good question. I'm not sure. I'll see if it says anything in the user manual and get back to you on that.

  • i just bought it today i cant wait to hook it up to my xbox 360

  • @gamer4lifecod Congratulations! The 360 looks fantastic on it! :)

  • WHEN I CONNECT MY PC TO THIS SAME MODEL TV IT GOES INTO SLEEP MODE FOR SOME REASON AND WHEN I DISCONNECT IT THE TV COMES BACK ON... IM I THE ONLY ONE HAVING THE PROBLEM? PLEASE HELP

  • Bought this TV a little while ago and have it hooked up through hdmi to my hd cable box. The HD channels look good, but when watching sports like football i notice a lot of background blurring and the red looks really pixelated. It is probably the settings I don't know. I just set it to default and the red still looks like crap when watching fast paced sports. I don't watch sports but those channels usually give the best hd signal.

  • @DoubleDarl Try these settings: Mode: Standard Cell Light: 5 Contrast: 95 Brightness: 45 Sharpness: 50 Color: 40 Tint (G/R): G50/R50 Advanced Settings: Black Tone: Off Dynamic Contrast: Off Color Space: Native
  • I just got this Tv and love it but only think i cant figure out is does the tv stand turn??

  • @reverin15 The stand is stationary. It will not swivel.

  • I just got this today at FutureShop for $477 CAD. How much did it cost you?

  • @ChillChatUniverse Never mind, you answered my question at the end :D

  • @ChillChatUniverse $494 USD.

  • I'm stuck between this one and the LG 350, not sure which one to get what do you think I should get?

  • @JamesPromIII I'm going to be biased towards the PN42C430 since I own one. :) I can tell you that I've had the TV for several months now and haven't had one problem with it. The picture quality is still as good as ever.

  • @JamesPromIII So get the samsung and forget the LG? The LG has one more HDMi port and is 50 dollars cheaper

  • @JamesPromIII I'm unfamiliar with LG but after looking on Amazon it looks like it got great reviews as well. You probably can't go wrong with either TV. The LG sounds like the better bang for your buck. I've seen the Samsung on Amazon for as low as $454. The LG has been under $500 as well. I noticed that right now they're both over $500. The price goes up and down weekly. I would wait until they drop below $500 to purchase. When I bought mine back in the Spring it was under $500.

  • Just bought this TV.... Happy with it, no problems. Seems like a great buy for the money. I wanted to know if you like the calibration settings in the video description... Is that what you've kept it on???? Do you change the settings depending on the lightness in the room. Any feedback would be great!!!

  • @DeCaYzZz I didn't end up keeping the calibration settings that were given. I went with the Standard settings and then tweaked some of the following (I think most of these were set, but I do remember changing the color and turning off the dynamic constrast). Mode: Standard Cell Light: 5 Contrast: 95 Brightness: 45 Sharpness: 50 Color: 40 Tint (G/R): G50/R50 Advanced Settings: Black Tone: Off Dynamic Contrast: Off Color Space: Native
  • @johnnyjohnson someguy jacked your video

  • we just bought the exact same tv. unboxed tonight, but having some trouble assembling the tv base stand. It was really difficult to screw the Guide Stand to the Stand, and when it was all fastened, there was a lot of wiggling, and I don't know if it's normal. Anyone has any ideas?

  • @intangibleobject The screws were a bit of a pain to get in. It took a lot of pressure. Also make sure that the head of the screwdriver is big enough for the screw. There should not be any wiggling. I have heard, based on some reviews, that some people have received the wrong stand. If the stand does not seem to fit properly you may want to call Samsung customer service.

  • I've been looking to buy this model after seeing it on Amazon for $550, which I saw it when you got the $50 off deal! But I'm curious, I'm primarily buying this to watch football once the Fall starts, have you noticed blurring when you watch fast sports?

  • @getupk8 Sports look excellent on this TV. I haven't noticed any blurring at all. :)

  • Your model will accept 220volt ac power ? please look on sticker on the back.

  • @LordLab I think so. On the back it says 100-240V ~ 50/60Hz 200W.

  • @johnnyjohnson Thanks!

  • so you do play xbox on it? thats cool...i am going to order this as soon as i find out if i can play my ps3 on it without burn in issues with the screen......have you had any problems at all with that? i hear it should be ok to play games on it as long as you keep the screen with something on it moving.....for example....i was told never to put something on pause like a game or blu ray and just leave it sitting for a long time... because plasma will burn the image on the screen...any problems?

  • @ntune990 I've played both the Xbox and PS3 without any burn in issues. The TV has a feature that dims the screen and goes to a screensaver if it's not used for long periods of time. Also, it features a pixel shift orbiter, which constantly refreshes the screen to prevent burn-in.

  • @johnnyjohnson thank you for your help....i now feel safe buying this TV.....and will do so now.....the picture quality is superb

  • @ntune990 No problem. Good luck with your purchase!

  • any burn in issues

  • @bigkane20 None yet. No buzzing issues either. :)

  • im buying this tv with my money and im only 10 ys old

    i love this tv

  • @chiemeka10 You won't be disappointed. Just make sure you don't plan on hooking up a laptop or PC to this TV. Otherwise you will probably want to buy the PN42C450 model, as it includes a VGA input. Take care!

  • @johnnyjohnson ok just read about not plugging a laptop into the tv, why not? You dont need a vga to this cant I just plug my hdmi from my laptop into one of the tv's hbmi ports? wouldnt that work?

  • @myentourage The reason I said that is becuase most non high end PCs and laptops do not have HDMI ports on them. Sorry, I should have been more specific. Yes, if your PC or laptop has an HDMI port it will work just fine. Even if the video card in your PC or laptop has a DVI port, you should be able to buy a DVI to HDMI adapter or cable to make it work as well.

  • @johnnyjohnson i figured it would be ok. my biggest question is, why is this plasma so inexpensive? Its brand new not refurbished. It has the latest 2010 technology, its plasma and plasmas are usually more expensive. It is a top of the line name brand not a no namer. And at $494 its not far from its regular price of $550. Its not like this is a $1000 tv on a big sale, its close to its normal price?!

  • @myentourage I think Plasma is less expensive to produce now. I'm very grateful that it is less expensive than LCD, and has a better picture to boot. :)

  • @SHOTTYnation Thanks for the kind words!

  • Nice vid.

  • @3rdchild Thanks!
