  • I just read that it looks like the 4S is going to smash the pre-order record set by the 4 yet I've read articles and comments from fandroids saying that reception to the 4S was cool and mixed. Just like the original would be a flop with no 3G and the 3G wasn't much of an upgrade since other phones already had it and the 3GS even less so and the 4 had antennagate. The 4S will continue to surpass previous records and be the best overall smartphone experience out there.

  • WOW, an updated mobile phone, how exciting.....................i­n fact it's almost as "up to speed" as many of the Android phones out there that have had these features for quite a while. Stil, at least Apple is trying to catch up.

    I have to say though, as a consumer, when a phone is replaced by an updated model inside a normal "Contract Period" it is just INSULTING to those that have already invested in the model being replaced.

  • What did people want? Lasers? A slightly bigger screen 'could' be nice (though a lot of people couldn't type one handed well with it then), but beyond that ... the 4s is a decent upgrade. Twice the processor, way better graphics, great camera, twice the data rates (AT&T - 4G speeds), likely better reception, and it's a world phone (all with keeping a great battery life).

  • @lumberj23 but you know what? You're right he sold his own product well. The phone is extra special because you know Jobs built it himself. It's his work. It shows because it's the most fluid, easiest, most logical, nicest looking, most stable, most responsive, most reliable phone ever. If it weren't for Apple, smart phones would still have a keyboard and look like the Treo. The only thing I could ever fault my 3GS is the reception isn't as good as my work flip phone. It's maybe 10% worse. BFD.
