I feel like these guys keep writing solid songs. I mean we all have our fave records, but I feel like each record is super thoughtful and great in its own way.
who knew gord downey worked inside a Fantastic4 Comic book at least he doesn't have a Balanka face it it's over purple now so Sym can climb up and tell x-men parrells and spyro differecial equation equal green guy in all our systems blue guys good 2.

The Hip havn't been good since Fully Completely. Music at work is horrible and their new stuff is worse. I LOVE there old stuff I just wish they would have continued to make great music
C'mon bro. Yeah, some of the newer stuff is a little pretensious, but the guy is bright, you can't expect him to stick to writing songs for people eatin 5c wings for his whole life....
This song reminds me of working the night shift at a at a gas station or cold beer and wine, and being under a camera the whole time and just wanting to fucking break it off the wall, and tell the boss that I want a panic button...the kind that has a trigger and clip! Although, it is fun to just make funny faces at the camera sometimes.
hahaha we already saw them when they had 6 shows in toronto and we went backsage and met gord downie and rob baker ha haha. we got pictures. nice guys
I don`t know about that. What I do know is this song`s lyrics could have been Cantonese. the SOUND was awesome. The vocals harmonized perfectly. I fell in love with this song instantly without knowing what the hell they were saying till I bought the CD and got hold otf the lyrics. Still. Next to RUSH, best Canadian band. World? forget it! I think Stones, Beatles, Who, Doors, Zeppelin and Kinks may have to differ.
Compared to the bands that are making music now...the Hips is one of the best...
or maybe you enjoy billy talent n good charlotte and other trash like that?
i doubt that is the case though ahha, if you like the 60s n 70s bands then im sure you're smarter then that...However, i must point out that you forgot Hendrix and Floyd, can't be forgetting greats like that now can we
if go on the website the hip museum type it in in google it tells you wat all hte lyrics mean there are lots of metaphors and hiddem messages wit in the lyrics blow at high dough means- you cant walk before you can crawl!
This is how I've always pictured working in a call centre -- mind-numbingly boring, some a-hole looking over your shoulder all the time, all the while hoping for a heart attack to put you out of your misery (or at least some good dope to let you escape to a better place for a little while).
Your exactly right, except the assholes over your shoulder shout retarded sayings like 'make sales people' or 'who wants to make money today' to try and motivate you. Its pretty much like being cattle being poked and prodded by redneck cowboys. Oh yeah and some dope is not enough, copious amounts are needed.
There's a resemblance, but it's not Herbert because the guy in this vid is not wearing a cheap polyester suit and is not hitting on one of the female workers.
DAMN can't believe I forgot this song I used to love it! I'm listening to all the old Hip songs, and they are timeless. Seriously this song is so good.
Sorry, it doesn't get much warmer unless you're "keeping order restored" in the summer. Then you'll sweat. There's no in-between. And yes, there should be more views but the Hip isn't all that known outside of Canada.
People that say they love thier job need to find something else in their lives. You shouldnt hate your job, and i like my job but i dont wake up on Monday morning thinking i am so excited to go in to work today.......i would say only about 2% of the poulation could say they love their job, mabey like pro athletes or entertainers.
these guys are excellent... everyone should see them in a bar with about 200 people jumping up and down like bunny rabbits. World Container follow up is coming out this summer...GO BRUINS !!!
avoid trends and cliches no matter what you heard. gord always puts on a show (and baker and sinclair and langois) And johnny Fay on the drums of course. What a great time. Go Bruins!!
