Thank you Supra. Much appreciated. I am getting enthusiastic about diesels and may remove the Chevy to put in a Nissan Turbodiesel. It would be more suitable for back country trips. I saw a Spit with 327 Chevy V-8 and the frame flexed so much that the body began cracking and thegaps closed up enough to dent the body.I have had several right side lower ball joint failures on GT-6's that dropped the frame rails to the ground in a shower of sparks. I would not dare to put added weight to the design
once saw a video of a spitfire with a 427ci v8 under the bonnet, i say under the bonnet inthe loosest sense possible lol. can't find any videos of one one here tho, if you know of any i'd love to see em. by the way the 4 wheel drive is probably one of the coolest if not craziest cars i have seen on here. keep up the good work man
Looks like it is sharp competiton for that sightseeing Hummer that hangs out at the Pismo dunes and gives tourists rides. My then 14 year old nephew(let's call him Joseph)called the Hummer Tours and asked if he could pay only 50 cents for $25 ride. He did not get that but did get to drive the Hummer. At 15 my nephew took me on thrilling car ride on a dry lake.
It will do about 88 in the quarter mile. Not much to get excited about. But I have a 92 Geo Metro convertible and a Pontiac Bonneville SSEI supercharged engine and drivetrain....maybe gonna make a rear wheel drive 240 HP sled.
I also had a GT-6 with 2.5 liter TR-6 engine, Rajay turbo, Chevy Monza 5 speed trans some years ago. It would blow away Turbo Carreras easily. It also blew up rear ends...maybe 12 of them in all. Pistons, too. 14 psi boost would spin the tires in 3rd at 3200 rpm. RX-7 motor would also be nice!
The GT-6 I built blew away some arrogant prick in a Turbo Carrera whose license plate said something like YNG EXEC. I recall my tire breaking loose at 70mph and it would spin the left, then the right and keep it up 4 or 5 times (no posi trac). It was worth the confused look I got from him.

Metro hot rod is Shytecanned. I am building a 24 HP 3 cylinder Kubota diesel powered Metro just to see if I can get 65 mpg.

I've posted 4 videos of my rotary Spitfire. Look for Abomination autocross run, and there will be links to the others.
