  • @FOS921 Why is it called that?

  • mc hammer sample

  • @FOS921....why?

  • @jilla2010 It's a reference to a comic where all the old superheroes came out of retirement to fend off the younger troublemakers. Saying this, Jay means that he has come out of retirement to get rid of the new rappers who are shit. Awesome song.

  • Jay is the GREATEST! New album Watch the Throne coming soon, can't wait!

  • love it

  • This starts Divinely

  • lonly at the top (ceo) of the pyramid,

Who's better? This man is brilliant, you don't shine like this if you have not the good intentions, i've never heard of devine devil inspiration.... King of the hiphop

  • @JOZF1980 dude, listen to my darling by eminem. its ALL about divine devil intervention. lol.

  • i only like this song cause they used rick james super freak

  • hahaha "kingdom come" interesting. This song came out in 2006 and after this track hit the radios hop hop stations were barraged with shitty songs to play this dealing a serious blow to good hip hop. Rihanna being the biggest one of em all and she is signed to roc nation.

I could see all kinds of theories being made about this track and its connection to how shitty rap has become.

  • i think its rick james

  • i think its rick james

  • This that heat!!!!

  • man this shit is fiya man jay is da best he better then dead ones im sorry but itss the truth ma boy hova spit classic bars not just this songs but many songs

  • I heard this beat on some other song, anybody know any other versions? Maybe Ice Cube, i don't remember who it was

  • oooooooooow!!

  • dope

  • THA BEAT IS CCCCCCCCCCCCCCCRAAAAAAAAAAAZZZZZZZZZZZZYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This shit's sooo tight!! Jay-Z's the mutha fukkin man!! Check The Movement's Music out!!! BIG ST, the leader of the Movement is Born on Dec. 4th. Jay and Him share the same Birthday. BIG ST also shares a similar drive and hustle as Jay Z... .myspace/ricosmodernlifecomingsoon, or YOUTUBE (THE MOVEMENT BIG ST)

  • in my eyes this is just best beat ever, he made a u turn with the rick james track n flipped it

  • damn, bad ass sample of superfreak. the drums are hard as hell and i love the mix of the funky ass bass.

  • Had to dust off the hammer...fans can't touch this.

    NICE.

Much better-produced than Can't Touch This, from the rapping to the Superfreak sample. Just Blaze killed that shit.

  • One of the most underrated albums ever

  • @Leifyolikescheese

it´s pure pop so should be overrated like boy faggot george

  • the #1 most irrelevant nicar in the game. can hov keep feedin people jive-talk on expensive beats for another decade? dude is sold out and done talkin.

    pass the goddamn mic

  • @Knobbingham r u fucking kidding me or what duke??? u better go hop back on justin bieber's dick u hating ass fag.. Jay Z is the illesst of the ill duke

  • I used to think that Jay was the best but i've recently realized you cannot compare two different artists. They have different influences, biases, thought patterns and ideas of lyrics. You either enjoy the result or not, i dn't think you can compare art.

  • @4mAALIKcHIN4 That is a very good point.

  • one of his best songs i love it

  • I like the fact that he sampled superfreak for the instrumental, and that all his close outs had to do with superheros. I think that was something different

  • cool

  • Take off the blazer loosen up the tie, step inside the booth super man is alive... So classic.

  • Jay got so many songs that he doesnt perform often that I wanna see him perform...

Kingdom Come, Never Change, Bring it On, Imaginary Player, Allure, Lost Ones, Anything, Hollyowood, Say Hello, The City is Mine,,, Jeeze...

  • you guys are retarded

  • am patiently waiting on BP3, i know its out there online but come oon pplz, lets give it some respect, love or hate hov, a Jay-Z album is definately one to be anticipated, even though i prefer an artist like Nas............. Now my turn to promote myself, i did a song to the Kingdom Come track, come hate on me or love me, would be much appreciated anyways, thanks pplz...and to those who have already heard BP3, classic or not????

  • not his best album but this muhfucker still went hella hard. i mean wen ur in tha game as long as J your gunna change ur style up a lil bit....dont be hatin. no body is as tight as they used to be. not em. not j. not nas. no one! so on that note.....bring blueprint3 on. that shits gunna be bangin

  • This was J's Best album

  • haha. hi hater

  • Y u FUCKERZ always callin jay z the best rapper n shit.Nas beat his fuckin ass. Even Jay Z has so much respect for Nas and will never put himself infront of him.Dat is why he signed Nas cs he wana b a part of history(not tryna desrespect wat he dne for da game or nutin)even in their older days, nas still kicks it much betta than Jay,listen to UNTITLEd fuckers.'could be' the greateset hip hop album ever made.haters will never attest to this

  • yo fo sho

at the end of the day its about respect

    nas got that from jay-z

but during the day its Jay's reign playboy

    shittinbullshit

nas could never be as relevant as Jay has been around the world stupid

oh yeah listen to whats in a name Jay-z

  • cosign bama

  • This album is dope and one of his best i don't give a fuck what anybody say even hova himself lol.

  • Crazy!! Just blaze kills that sample of Rick James. Jay-z, the best ever. He got bangers for days.

  • had to dust off the hammer, dance, cant touch this! That nigga Hova is the truth

  • yo this shit is tight, check my vids, You betta sickest song, peace.

  • dis track is hot kingdom comee is 1 of his best albums

  • Just Blaze is a genius on the beat

  • sooo true. one of the hottest beats ive ever heard.

  • @BMack07 you do know it's sample from

    can't touch this-mc hammer

    it's just a mash up

  • @TheOnlyBananaKing Naw it's the rick james sample

  • @TheOnlyBananaKing Yeah its Super Freak by Rick James BMack07 is right you can here Rick James voice singing in the hook.

  • @TheOnlyBananaKing No it's a Rick James sample. Superfreak. Hammer sampled it also. No mash-up. Just made the beat as a joke for Myspace. ?uestlove convinced Jay to use it.

  • this album was DEfinitely slept on!!! I dont get it either!! even he said it wasnt one of his best...he said in an interview that the reason it didnt sell was because people couldnt relate to it.. in my opinion this is one of his best songs!! he literally saves rap by himself!!

  • This Album Was Underrated The song Beach Chair is Classic

  • definitely, can't figure out why either...

  • @BigTerio1 very much so

  • some of you are really missing the point of the song. Rap is in trouble and he's here to save it- literary, rap IS in trouble. All this shitty rappers do noting but gun talk, ho flows, money metaphors and drug lines. Its disgraceful

I wouldn't say this is one of his BEST works, but its Jay quality nonetheless.

Reasonable Doubt- now theres some good Jay-Z

  • who greater at this rap game?

  • Nas=Street poet

    Jay-z=Smooth street lyricist

Know the difference. They both deserve there greatness I just take a liking to poetics rather than straight up street, and mind you I'm not far from where Jay-z grew up at,so I know the game already.

  • I agree with what what your saying except I dont think Jay-Z is very smooth i would say his flow is choppy, he kind of talks, but nonetheless he is a great rapper still, and yes Nas is definitely a poet. Also does anyone know who produced this beat?

  • yeah the producer is JUST BLAZE,and the smoothness I'm really referring to is Jay's style,he does tend to sound like he's talking. But he has a laid back approach to his rap.

  • your both saying the same thing. Jay Z defnitrly has the substance, metaphor and lyrics like a poet on his best stuff, Like 96 Reasonable Doubt.

But Nas definitely encompasses POET. like "I Know I Can"

    they both great and influential.

so why don't 3 smart guys like ourselves argue about why most of Rap sucks so damn much

  • Yeah I feel you on that totally

  • Where in Brooklyn do you live man?

  • Not far from Brownsville houses,Next to the 3 train.

  • LOL I got a thumbs down

  • The bruce wayne of the game have no fear, When you need me just throw your roc signs in the air. Man Jay is crack

  • I like Nas definitely,I think Nas is better than Jay but I respect Jays lyrics too.

I mean come on that line wasn't really lyrical but he said "loosen up his tie step in the booth super man is alive" and went consistent on more hero lines.Jay is nice and Nas in my opinion is just better. They both spit street smarts,Nas just do his more lyrically. For me I like lyrical and poetic flows.

  • Amen to that. You definitely right on that. Nas is like a poet, the way he put words together is just amazing.

  • nas n jay both hav good lyrics but jay z gets put out more than nas witch makes the people think hez better. i personaly favor nas but not sayin either 1 is better. just sayin they hav different styles. u decide whos better. i like em both

  • best rapper alive...great track

  • i love this beat...do do do do!

  • jay z thinks of chorus all day while nas thinks of great lyrical content.

therefore music heads buy cds that influence great music and will be legendary lyrics (NAS)

not catchy chorus (jay z). although its fun to say here and there. but doesnt realy teach anything

  • jay-z doesnt have lyrics? lol like jay said do u really listen to music or do u just skim thru it. lol clown stop hoppin on the bandwagon and listen to the lyrics and go kill yo self

  • Nas been sucking lately sorry to say so, but he has been. I don't like his new album or his other ones his old shit was good, but now he just slackin... Jayz doesnt take the whole day to think of a chorus. If you go watch video of jayz in the studio u'll see him make a song on the spot with no paper.

  • ye man the other guys are right, nas has fallen off and jay z does have some good lyrics, not as good as nas, but then again i like nas more than jay z so that might be biased

  • JAYZ HOVA

  • ya'll are funny

  • Theres much bigger things issues in the world i know, but i first had to take care of the world i know. Damn, dat definatley shuts up alot of people who talks about he dont talk about important things. dass right handle home first fot u try and go away. and he gave y'all minority report too. jay a beast

  • Kindom Come isn't a classic (almost 5 other albums of him are) but there are sum great songs, like this one, but despite of the downsides of his career (in my lifetime)

i just have one thing to say about this rapper, who might be the best ever: Holla at ya boy

  • i don't really care for Jay Z's other music, but this jam is FRESH!

  • why write that here?

  • i dont think he was censoring anything i think he was just asking a question. a valid one at that, seeing as eminem doesnt have much to do with kingdom come. you seem like a bit of a jerk when you jump at people and censor their right to ask questions

  • hey fuck you!

  • MADDSONN shhh

I just hate people who act like something their not if a nigger wants to go around shooting people because they see some "gangster" do it and think living this thug life is the way to go are morons. You know music is the most demonic subliminal message that tunes your brain into becoming something you shouldn't want to be. Listen to Nas new album and understand that your being manipulated to cause chaos and hate to this world. Nas is part of the Illuminati go search that shwamp.

  • Kingdom Come wasnt a classic bt it had classic moments. I dont get why ya'll hate on it so much. Show Me What You Got, Lost One, Anything, Do You Wanna Ride, Minority Report, I Made It... come on people. Listen to the music.

  • one of my favorite jamz

  • this is a sik song!

one of my fav jay tracks

  • This is why Justin Smith is my favorite producer!

  • what song is this beat based on??

  • Super freak by rick james and 100 guns by KRS-One

  • thanks. i think there's also something from "can't touch this"

  • nah cant touch this is heavily samplen from superfreak

the park from the chorus is after the first chorus of super freak and the verse is chopped up from the beginnin of superfreak (what was sampled for the mc hammer song)

  • hammer sampled superfreak

  • hammer sampled superfreak

  • in reply to FaziastyPL's comment, i am not sure. good question though.

  • I got the kingdom come album and the samples credited are 100 guns and superfreak(but i also thought that it was cant thouch this in the beginnin)

  • Is the sound a bit fuck'd up?

  • Hot song wack album real talk. And this is coming from a fan.

  • Oh theres so many more but I'm talking my top 5

i could list like top 50 lol

  • top 5 alive is kool g rap, masta ace, krs one, jay z, & az in no specific order...lupe will never make any list of mine, nor will luda or eminem...ya'll to young to know anything about music...check for tragedy khadafi, MOP, & de la soul...hip hop didn't start on 106 & park...

  • eminem is sick he belongs in top 10

  • common, mos def, talib kweli.

  • No Luda? He's the next Jay! Everybody sleeps on him but he'll be on most's top 5 when he's done

  • eminem actually is a very good rapper. mainstream megastar but it doesn't change the fact that he got crazy skills.

  • those dudes don't even have updated music...

and I'm not too young for rap I'm fucking 22.

your top 5 stinks those rappers are all retired and done i said alive not retired. And Crooked-I is better then all of those rappers you just mentioned thanks for coming out budz.

  • all of "those rappers" have current music...you just don't know what's new or what's old, your 22 for cryin' out loud lol...they all get money and are still relavent. 10 years from now, will crooked I be able to tour & get paid for live shows when he's not relavent??? don't think so...he's not even hot family...he's an mc, but he doesn't hold a candle to my top five...go watch BET or somethin'...let them tell you what to listen to & how to think. if your not 25 or older you are not qualified

  • I really don't give a fuck about nigger music honestly so shut the fuck up.

Jay-Z Is the best rapper alive.

Dude crooked-I ain't like other rappers you fuck he ain't commercial he don't have a mixtapes he don't even have a cd just freestyle and gets money and hustles like a true nigger from the streets. and when detox comes out in November yall gonna jump off your fav artist dick(lil wayne) and jump on dres. I listen to Dre like he the bible.

PS im white not blackwashed fucking shwamp.

  • tell me something I don't know...I knew you were a closet racist from your 1st reply. you would never talk like that out loud for obvious reasons...get lost eminem...

  • lol dude said crooked I...hahahah

  • Plus, Eminem played a part here

  • Songs great, he's great, but it just music, no answer to anything, eg. stick a bulb in the mud and watch a tulip grow, which is the most meaningful ?

  • Jay-Z spit fire, never gonna retire, he´s the rapper everybody admire.

  • NOt his best he was unfocused Rhianna was naked alot for him during this time and LA Reid was tryin to keep him ignorant and threated by Jermaine duPree

  • this song is so underrated not sayin classic but real hot join swag is crazy

  • this song is beast..papoose killed this beat.

  • fuck that, this beat is dope, good sample choppin

  • this track here is fucken crack . cuz i gotta hit that fucken replay button so many times like a fin on a needle .

  • I'll name some good artist

    1) Jay-Z

    2) Jay-Z

    3) Jay-Z

I'm pretty sure hes telling you that hes the best rapper alive so shut up and listen..

    also this beat is crusher

  • thank you

  • you fuckin crazy hahahahahahahah

  • shitttttt

  • beat's sick

    Jay's the king

  • Man this beat is dope, if you know of doper holla at me I want to check em out.

  • gotta put lupe fiasco on this list

  • well yeah...he retiered...only producing songs and being featured in it like beyonce feat. jay-z....

  • I respect artist like Jay and Nas not only because they were able to diversify their music, but I also respect them for bringing other artist that I would not have known of otherwise. Chris Martin and Christete Michelle just to name a few. They don't use too many mainstream artists on some of their CD's, they try to find new singers or artists to use and that in itself is diversifying their music.

  • I been up in the office you might know him as clark

  • Jay-Z is the best rapper. no 1 can match up 2 none of his albums... expecialy not lil wayne...

  • You Already Know Son

  • Your opinions don't fucking matter.

  • the rick james samples was a gd idea

  • I respect the artists such as Jay and Nas as they are mainstream, yet still manage to remain diverse. Yeah, you'll have your club bangers such as 99 problems from way back in the day, yet at the same time they will still drop something with meaning. Personally i'm more into the underground scene, artists such as deltron3030 or borderline mainstream like Tilib or The roots. I mean if you listen to some of Tilibs spoken word stuff for def jam it's dope. ALso people like saul williams and wakefield

  • I'll also add Lupe Fiasco to that list of borderline mainstream.

  • Lupe fiasco doesnt make any sence.

i understand big pun ,immortal technique, jayz ,tupac, everyone.

    but not lupe -_-

  • What don't you understand about him?

  • jayz... best rapper ever God mc thats the best way to put

  • bla bla best rapper, who cares?? this debate is senseless, who da fuck could say whos the goat?? there are a few rapper that you could arguably consider to be competing for that title, you can never say who it objectively is. rakim, jay-z, biggie, scarface etc...?? you can never really tell.... so let it go, i hate those stupid lists and all these embarassing arguments...

  • with biggie and pac dead the title for best rapper alive is up for and i feel he deserves it

  • That's all well & good except for the fact that this song (&album) precede American Gangster.

  • if not him who does it go to

  • Well first off, Nas outraps Jay-Z any day. Secondly, being that I listen to all kinds of Hip Hop, mainstream and underground, I hear lots of cats who are just stunning on the mic. Phonte of Little Brother rips it everytime he spits. One Be Lo makes dope rhymes and he's deep at the same time. With Chaundon, he always spits hot fire. That's just to name a few. You probably don't even know who these guys are. Look them up. So I can't really say who's the best rapper alive, but Jay-Z is not it.

  • i know theres rappees that are better than jay but if they were so much better theyd have deals by now,im not bad talking nas i like nas and he has had many hot songs and rhymes but where is he now??? i dont see nas but i do see jay i think he should get credit he may not be the best but hes the closest to the title than anyone else the only one i see close to that is wayne and thats it.i feel if ur that hot and that talented u wud be in the same lane as jay not UNDERGROUND or without a deal yet
