i was part of EXUMA - sang, played bass drum - bells & whistles.. and more..if any of you reading this were also part of the first several albums i would love to speak with you. please reply, sister sally
It was 1970...front row tickets for Grand Funk Railroad, the stadium lights were still on and this 20 peice band comes out,and starts playing, mostly drums, drums of all sorts.40 yrs. later, i finally realise, what an honour it was, what a special blessing, what a gift. Yes! The opening act that night was indeed Exuma! Ill never forget that wonderfull rendition of Oh Damballa! It went on for 30 minutes or more. Thank You Exuma! Your Friend Forever,Walter
@bigfootshoottokill I should die on 3.3.2011 - I had a vision - habe angst muss aber was sagen: original platte ist mit höher geprägtem schmetterling und hört bei einem bestimmten titel - wenn zu laut gespielt - zu spielen (Ton aus) auf. aber nur auf einer bestimmten stelle
He performed this one regularly at Cami hall on 57th street. I chilled with him backstage. i was about 16 and he was gracious and kind. I've found others who are hip to him on every continent. I've still got all the original vinyl. Very powerful. In spite of being universal, he speaks to each of us personally. It's like only you know what he means.
@jmecicardo1953 hear his magic music since my early youth. it powers me till today - minimum-dose 1 time per week! it would be fresh and authentic in five hundred years too! exuma is immortal - a golden starlit message in every open mind! thank you exuma! what for luck, to have such a friend...
I first heard this song at a friend's place in Germany in 1973, it brought back many memories, thanks for posting the video. thanks to Hansi Stupak of Everode, Niedersachsen for introducing me to Exuma!
I could be REALLY wrong on this one but i'm almost certain that was/is a painting that Exuma did himself and was possibly an album cover. I'm not certain at all but for some reason that is popping up in my head =/ He did lots of paintings which i think Paul McCartney has a few of.
does anyone know the chords to this song??

Another classic. Very dark, but well produced song. He was before his time.

It's the cover of the "Snake" album. it was a gatefold, too. (to those of you too young to have had vinyl, that means it opened up)
