  • amazing !!

  • Very beautiful & enjoyable to watch; very ethereal.

  • I ♥♥♥

  • Okay, so the song fr anyone who is wondering is "The Hunt" by Niyaz.

  • very nice piece, elegant and enjoyable. Alot of this dance is afghan e.g attan it is preformed at every afghan wedding. And the lyrics are from an old afghan song, sung beautifully in an iranian accent. I guess by persian dance they mean greater persia not just iranian.

  • @avista100: The Lyrcis are from a poem written by Obeyd Zakani, (عبید زاکانی). I actually think it might be the music that is Khorasani.

  • really graceful, artistic, colourful and.. beautiful.

  • خيلي خيلي قشنگه

  • Its beautiful, but on 1:54 its afghani dance and we call it Atan!

  • بی همتا!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Amazing....you really see commonalities between the Central Asian & other Asian dances.

  • what is the name of this song?

    bebashkheed, essmeh een ahvaz cheeyeh?

  • Album : Nyaz

    Song : Hunt

    Singer : Azam Ali

  • Woah, didn't know that the Persian had this kind of dancing culture. It resembles a mix of oper and theatre.Awesome. Wish I could learn more about it.

  • such my favourite song!

    long live sima bina

    bytw

    there was a dance from

    0:44 to 0:48

wats the name of that dance plz?

or if someone can direct me to the link page of that vid in youtube.. would be nice

    thx =]

  • aali bood !!

  • lovely voice, what is she singing?

  • This is so lovely to watch, it certainly recalls the richness of a time gone by. It breaks my heart to think that because of religious conservatism these dances can now only be seen outside or Iran. Ballet Afsaneh is doing a great service to the Iranian people by preserving their dance traditions.

  • Beautiful song! from 1:53 till 2:33 are all Afghan dances ;)

  • Viva Iran !

  • kheiliiiii ghashange!!! merc ^^

  • doorood bar all Farsi speeking !!!

  • Dorud bar hameye Iranian ba har zabani!

  • LOVE IT !!!!

  • Nagyon szép, ősi kultúra, ősi nép, megérintett a zenéje.

  • Afsaneh Ballet is made up of artists from all over Iran's cultural sphere which includes Turkmenistan (although I'm sure they'd call it the Turkic cultural sphere lol) one way or another I'm in love with this!

  • Turkman dancers? sing and song persian.

  • we are all from Greater Iranian plateau, Turkman, tajuk , afghan, persian,Turk, kord, lore, and so onnnnnnnnnnnnnn, dont make any distense between us PLEASE

  • watch turkey

we are Zaza an Iranian people and we can't speak our language we can't live in our citys we can't do anything in our culture fuck turks fuck islam fuck mongols fuck off all of them from anatolia from iran from mesopotamia..

  • Ahuramazd1991 why did you get so horny? relax this is just a dance

  • I don't quite get what Zaza means? also, history tends to leave it's mark on any country and nothing remains static. Anyway, the performance was beautiful here, but I would love see what you consider as true iranian dance, which has not influence from any neighbouring country - or music, do you have any examples I can find on youtube?

  • Turkmen is also in Iran...

  • this is awesome!

  • This is very beautiful, the dancing as well as the very nice music. What a marvellous voice, thank you

  • Aaaafarin! afarin! beautiful!

  • Persian dance is so beautiful! It reminds me so much of kathak, a dance from my country

  • ít´s really sooooo wonderful!!! keep the beautiful dancing, booz P.

  • nice dance

  • They say the real name of the song is Sayad ("Hunter"). You can see the performance of this song already posted on Youtube with the following title:

Mahtab - Bia berim dasht - Concert mars 2008 - Paris

  • The Persians are a very interesting and detailed peoples.

  • Does anyone know the translation to this song? I heard one translation that a hunter is explaining that he cannot kill these animals because they dream like his lover does...or something. I love a lot of Azam Ali's and Niyaz's songs! :)

  • Yes that is the translation

  • Thank you so much for sharing!!

All of this kind of dances iare persian folklore??

  • U R most welcome

    Thank you :D

  • iTunes. It's called The Hunt by the group Niyaz

  • This is from Niyaz. The song is The Hunt.

  • this song is sung by Naiz Ali, An Iranian singer grwon in India

  • You mean Azam Ali?

  • My heart just stopped while watching the grace, elegance and delicate movements of these artists. I only hope that one day I may do 1 10th as well. Brava!

  • All the dances they are doing in this video are PERSIAN, yeh it is prob similar to the pashtun dance but only because Persia consisted of other countries which are now afghanistan and so on (they not considered persian anymore, only Iran is because it is what is left of Persia), so they have some similar moves which is infact the traditional Iranian/Persian dancing, not afghani or turk or watever!! hope that makes sense!

  • daram, yavash yavash nejadparast misham! This night I tried to watch dance from different nations. When I was bored with several tastless dfances I came here and this beautiful music, dance and song made my night. We have great dance in Iran. Thanks for sharing.

    not racist yet.

  • This is Khorasani, singer was Simaa Binaa;

  • no its not. its a singer named Azam Ali.

  • barare.

  • wow cool...i like it...the dance...the costumes and the music.

At 1.53 it's afghan dance called attan...it's the national dance of afghanistan.

  • There are so many difrent areas in Iran with so many different kind of daces there..!That u can not tell from where is this dance..! Center-North people have theyr own Type of dance in North-East they dance completely diferent if u go To Nort-west again u gonna see some thing different.. and go down to South u will be finding maybe more 1000 of different type of dance..!

  • youre right but that person commented correctly, one of the dances is in fact the Attan that the Pashtun's dance - its their traditional dance. Ballet Asfsaneh doesnt only do dances from Iran they do dances from neighboring nations as well.

  • mahshar kardi atabak kar ra tamam kardei ba sepas wa doroode farawan az kare zibayetan

  • LOL - pilskman69.

But it's a gorgeous song and dance. Love it.

  • I love this. Love the dance. Love the song. Downloaded it from iTunes.

But the repetitions in this song--does this not remind anyone else of "The Twelve Days of Christmas"?

  • can anyone post the lyrics to this song ? i love this song and would love to sing to it, but i dont know how to speak farsi

  • Ankas ke nadanad va bedanad ke nadanad, langan kharake khish be maghsad beresanad. Ankas ke nadanad, va nadanad, ke nadanad, dar jahle morakab, abadoldahr bemanad. No more coments :))

  • FOR EDUCATION PURPOSES: Afsaneh Art & Culture Society (AACS) serves the Central Asian, Iranian- and Afghan-American communities and people who appreciate art from all cultures. AACS programs provide eloquent testimony to the unique Central Asian expressive arts and promote appreciation for the diverse expressions of our mutual humanity.

  • i know, and for EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES: all those dances+ most of other middle eastern dances(even alot of moves in belly and arabic dancing) are rooted in persian dances and more specifically Harams of ancient persian Shahs(kings)

  • melikab, i go with paayeez on belly dance, the hand movements are definitely persian dance.

but i hardly doubt shaking ur ass thing has anything to do w/ persians.

  • u r only 21 y/o and i doubt u have read more than 21 lines about persian history .

ur IQ is not bigger than ur age either.

  • nice persian dance!

  • barare.

  • love it

  • Dear Tomrish, I really dont want to make this to an argument becouse there is nothing to argue about, if you doubt Wikipedia (for your ref.the pages that are bearing doubtfull or argued info are makred always)you can look in other places, you will come to the same result. turcic (not turkish) people, incl azari and uzbeks are from earliest persian family.

  • man, i am a turk- who u persians like calling "azeri"-kasravi's bullshit, anyway, and I declare that I am a genuine Turk with no pahlavi blood. So uzbeks are turks, tajiks are pahlavi. by the way, according to wiki schythians were of persian speaking tribes, while the whole world, turkologists accept them as proto-turks. Anyway u may remain with ur ideas, I'll remain loyal to my opinion cheers

  • The album: Niyaz

    Song: The Hunt

    Singer: Azam Ali

  • Fantastic!

Does anyone know the song name?

  • The Hunt by Niyaz. You can download it from iTunes.

  • hay whats the anme of this soen i mliek i nlove wit this song. i need it for a nationel talent show

  • hahah it's funny but persians are the ancestor of Latin people(Italian, French, Greek etc) also the persian language is indo-aryan(german-sanskrit) guys!don't care the religion so much, care about the race and descent!!!

  • um no we dont decend from them they decend from us. the persians were one of the first peoples to migrate to the middle east from africa-the home of the original homosapisans.

  • Dear ravan1960, thank you for this beautifully edited clip, you have an excellent taste and appearing talent, keep on good work please.

  • thank you for your kindness

  • and i am sure that some of dances in this video are central asia originited dances.I definetly recognized Turkmen & uzbek dances.

oh,and concerning wikipedia - not everything in wikipedia bears geniune, truthful info, which is confirmed by creators of it- so next time when u advise smt, just take into account that not everybody is ignorant in this world ;))) cheers

  • ya there are a couple other dances in here coz if u go to ballet afsaneh's website ull see that they do dances from Iran, Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and South India...

  • thanks for info, I'll check the website

  • Dear Tomrish, Uzbaks and Tajiks are of the big family of the persian people too, you will be surprise to know that even Serbs, Croats, and Bulgarians are of persian descend, look in wikipedia under Iranian people, extend your views :)

  • Dear Omid,I cannot argue concerning Tajiks, but I'm more than sure that Uzbeks are Turks. Now, some nations might have turkic elements in their etnogenesis(for ins.Bulgarians,

ukrainians, hungarians, even some % of persians)but Uzbeks are Turks at leastfor 90%,their language is proove for it.

  • wow bokhoramesh cheghade bahale kheili tope eival

  • some dances demonstrated in this video looks uzbek or tajik, they are not persian.I guess ballet afsaneh demonstrates also dances of different ethnics of Iran.

  • actually it's difficult to know differences between cenrtal asian dance and persian but i think 00:10 look central asian originated

  • ya they do. go to their website.

  • this is one of the greatest video I've seen so far!! wow the dance is just FANTASTIC!! I love it!!and I'm just sooo proud of my beautiful Iranian culture!!it's simply the best!

  • Interesting ppl in here, sharlynsawyer, you are after credit in YOUTUBE??? and ask this guy to give credit to this dance group??? and when he does, you don't even bother to thank him??? WOW that says a lot about you sharlynsawyer

  • Please, do all the creative editing you like, but all of the dancing is in this video is from Ballet Afsaneh: Dance Music & Poetry of the Silk Road. They are from San Francisco California, please give credit where credit is due to these wonderful dance artists and fabulous company.

  • I have added this to the description, (The dance was preformed by Ballet Afsaneh)

but if my clip bothers you people... by all means let me know and I will remove it. I make clips for my self not for credit... so I do not mind removing it at all.

    Be well

  • DOn't you dare remove this video!! I love it and I watch it nealy everyday so... DONT YOU DARE :D

  • It is very sad that the most beautiful and innocent our beloved art is band by islamic criminals in Iran..

  • Daste shoma dard nakoni, merci, khilie ziyba bod. Basepas

  • I LOVE this video! and LOVE the song! and I LOVE persian dance, but unfortunately it is very hard to learn in Europe...I know a bit of the "normal" dance, that everyday people do if you get what I mean...but I would simply love to learn the more sophisticated classic one....such a shame there is nowhere to learn!

  • You can learn Persian classical dance in Sweden, France, Switzerland, and Germany (England probably has a teacher, but I can't think of one off hand).

  • what a great song... masha'allah

  • Raven1960: damet garm. khayli mamnoun.

  • thank you Raven1960. After your reading you commment, the song makes a lot of sense to me now.

  • You are most welcome :)

  • The song is about a hunter that sees the qualities of his beloved within the different animals and he becomes incapable of hunting them.

  • it looks as though the dances tell stories

  • The song is called "hunt". Here the singer pleads with hunters to spare the life of beautiful animals: hare, deer, dove, robin...I suspect the song originates from the north-western region in Iran, bordering Afghanistan. Raven1960s ahould know more about it.

  • aaa so different. i cdnt have guessed it.

    beautiful to watch

  • wow stunning!!!!

  • The album: Niyaz

    Song: The Hunt

    Singer: Azam Ali

  • baba esme in ahange chiyeeeee ???? kheyli ghashange

  • ppl calm down .. :D so .. where can i get this song? haha

  • I agree with you GreenEyeRedDrago...It must be a language comprehension problem for IranianDancer.

I too read Ravens posts (ALL of them) and NOT ONCE did he say what 'ID' has accused him of.

Enjoyed the EDIT Raven, Well done & Great music choice. Is NOTHING like the original.

  • BTW IranianDancer, if anyone should be ashamed on anything, it should be you. I did read what he said and what you said, you are accusing him because you do not understanding English well. In fact you should go back and look at what you said and write him an apology note.

  • IranianDancer it must be language problem for you, it looks like you don't understand what the word EDITING means. Makes no deference if he took the original video or part by part from the net it is still his creation. I saw the original and it looks nothing like this one. Although I don't understand the words to the song his version has a better feel to it.

  • very beautifule, thanks a million times.

  • So elegant and beautiful. :)

  • thanxxxxx to Raven.....

I dont no how to dance and is willing to learn....

once more, thank u very much...

  • You are most welcome

  • what's the songs name ? sooo beautiful !

  • This will 100% go 2 my favorites

  • Beautiful show,tanx.

    Khuda Negahdar
