I love the idea of the Public Option in Health Insurance, because it gives people another option, a Non Profit option in where they get their Health Insurance. Their choice, they don't have to take or they can. Their option.
The problem is when government runs the healthcare ....new solutions, new ideas, new technologies and new aspects of health care a slowed down due to the slow response government deliberates puts on its budgetary plans and procurement processes. We no longer have excellent health care but adequate health care. We NEED to figure out fast, adequate response time in governement then think about socialized health care!

The citizens of Norway earn approximately $35,000 per year per capita. Not an outstanding income. The government of Norway has one of the largest oil reserves in the world. The problem is when government runs the healthcare ....new solutions, new ideas, new technologies and new aspects of health care a slowed down due to the slow response government deliberates puts on its budgetary plans and procurement processes. A non-insured emergency room visit is NOT $100 it is more like $300-$800 just for the Doctor to see that it was not an emergency after all. This is selling your soul to the devil. What I do not agree is that in the US one may lose their home to treat one occurrence of hospitalization. Socialized medicine is not perfect either. Unless you've lived in a country that uses it (as I did) you might want to read up and research before spouting such angry words. No doubt that there's insane costs, but it's not all broken!

The Church's main job was to provide for the poor and for many many years the population of poor in this country because of the Church's intervention was almost non-existent. The Government and its citizens advocated for a separation between Church and State and the Church stopped providing to the poor to the extent that it once had. We've never met, we've never had a legitimate conversation face to face, and there is nothing about my background that you know about but you state that you know for sure. :) The only thing that you should know for sure is that your intellectual capacity for rational thought is nearly non-existent. The old country school that I attended was paid for in the same fashion that a private school is paid for.------

Matter of fact, the first private schools in America were country schools. They were paid for by the parents of the children who attended because they weren't able to get 40 miles into town every day to attend the public school. Dad was too busy working on the farm starting at 4 AM. Furthermore, the farm that I now own is worth more than you'll probably ever accumulate in your lifetime in itself. Not to mention that I run an investment firm on the side :) Being presumptuous has made many an ass.

Ofcourse early schools were private. Women and black people couldn't go to schools!!!! Schools were like a fucking goddamn commodity. It was a luxury to be educated.
Now, everyone gets to go to school regardless of financial situation. Health care should be the same.

I don't need to meet face to face. I work for a corporation that has been screwing with local farmers since the corporation was founded. Maybe you've heard of it. It's called ConAgra.

My name isn't Warren Buffet and I couldn't care less what you believe. The world doesn't revolve around you and what you believe. Whether you believe or disbelieve doesn't effect by wallet in the least. If you want to talk about hypocrisy, I find it interesting that you claim to work for a corporation that has been "screwing with local farmers". That says a lot about you :)

No, I don't advocate any such thing. You simply are a loud mouthed individual that likes to speak for everyone and who doesn't even know me.
I advocate that people get off their lazy asses and stop relying on the Government to improve their lives. I advocate that the governments sole position is to protect, not serve.
Unlike, I know this country's history and why government was put in place.
