  • Please tell me if you want to hear the following on the next Rentals record:

1 - Arpeggiated Wurlitzer electric piano a la Supertramp

    2 - Overwrought progressive-rock style time signatures/bridges

3 - Vocoders and guitar talkboxes a la Peter Frampton

  • I love Matt Sharp but the Rentals didn't exactly warrant a mosh pit.

  • that is the most mellow moshing I've ever seen...

  • Hello all,

This is not, I repeat NOT the band's second live performance ever. The bands third performance ever took place on November 4, 1995 at the cactus club in San Jose, California. This video was shot on December 15, 1995 at the live 105. Green Christmas concert in Berkeley California. I attended both concerts in 1995. I still have the set list that I took from Matt Sharp's keyboard at the November 4 show. These facts are absolutely indisputable. My guess is that this concert is there 10th

  • is pat drumming?

  • why do they have like 3 moogs

  • that was the weakest mosh pit i ever saw

  • "Second live performance ever"? When was this filmed? Maybe 1996?

  • haha i always thought moshing only happened in metal concerts. but it's better than just standing there like someone else said, i have seen that happen too many times

  • the best concerts were the ones where you could climb on stage, and the moshing is about fun not macho. are there any shows like that now.

  • Just go to small clubs, you can get up in the stage all the time.

I think I remember Nirvana used to let people up on the stage during the Bleach club touring.

  • i'm sure ppl used to go up on stage during bleach tour. i've only seen the videos, the moshing looked awsomme, like everybody just pulsating and bouncing, i've never been to a nirvana concert, but saw weezer twice. the moshing was ok to good. this band is so much better than anything out now

  • I know.

You have to admit, on Weezer's Troublemaker tour, they really were in tact with the audience. They know how to entertain. But, I still miss the wicked shy Rivers that would just stand with his shoulders really high and sing.

  • MATT SHARP IS A GENIUS!!!

  • Gotta love that douche bag bouncer sitting up on the stage right in front of the lead singer... picked a real nice spot to stand.

  • dude this happens at any good show

theres always a tough guy bouncer blocking the view

i say next show anyone that reads this comment goes to you get everyone to rush the stage.

see what those faggot bouncers do then

  • I know they have to be there but I mean...really....people didn't come there to see him. get outta the way, those fucking kids look real menacing.

  • hahahah too funny.

Also love the kid in the white shirt pushing all the moshing kids and not even watching the concert, haha...

by the way who is the brown/black haired girl playing the keyboard.. shes cute!

  • @ColorsBright

that's Maya Rudolph...she later was a cast member of Saturday Night Live...

  • NO WAY!!! I just noticed WOW... You are right! Its funny cause I always loved Maya on SNL :o) .... I would have never thought it was her!! THANKS GUSTAVMARIE!!!

  • i love the 15 year old suburban kids moshing in the front, hah.

  • let them mosh! better than standing around like a douche bag

  • @alramone1 really can't blame them, what else is there to do at that age

  • yes, that's 23 year-old Maya Rudolph (stage right) on keyboard and vocals, way before her SNL stint!

  • bouncers are perpetually and forever looking stupid... not just like dicks, but like dicks who think that everybody would LIKE to rush the stage, if only that big man were giving that ice-cold stare like "don't even think about it." like the whole world is intimidated by that goofy "no-go" look.

  • Actually, I'm more friends with poo.

  • hey my nick name is P

  • hey does anyone know what distortion the guitarist uses, or is all the fuzz coming from the moogs?

  • Why are those losers moshing?

  • Seriously! I was thinking the same thing, that I never really thought of this as a Mosh song!

  • I think you answered your own question when you referred to them as "losers".

  • LOL. Yeah, only a certain kind of person runs around in circles throwing their arms around.

  • surprisingly pretty solid sounding...

  • why they were using Moog Sources is beyond me though.

  • Something appears to be missing here. Where is Petra H.?

  • dude, this is the old Rentals, back in '95

  • LIVE 105 man!!! YEAH!!! Friends Of P!

  • Stupid kids moshing...haha.

    "You'll dance to anything"

    Great song...Moogs make anything cool.

  • look at all those god damn moogs! I gotta get a towel.

  • I'd rather those Moogs be Minimoogs (the monophonic ones).
