  • I just don't think there were enough sponsors at the end of the show!!! Holy smokes that's a truck load of stuff!

  • As part 3 of 3, this show was aired on NBC daytime Friday, May 19, 1978.

  • It spells SHERIFF. think of Rosco P. Coltrane on the TV show The Dukes of Hazzard.

  • But 12 is always a good roll. There's only one way to make it; 6+6, so even if you couldn't make it, you'd still get another free roll.

  • Rexall was just a vitamin company back then? These days they have pharmacies all over Canada. Today that company is sponsor of the arena that the NHL's Edmonton Oilers play in.

  • "SHERRIF"?!

  • @viddykiddy18 "Honestly officer, I shot the 'sherrif', but I didn't shoot the deputy."

And that bed intro was hilarious! :-D I wonder if the parents were complaining to NBC about that in case the kids were home sick from school that day and watching it...

  • The intro of that bed was very funny.

  • If you really wanted to be a big winner during the late 70s, you'd probably want to go on an NBC game show, which had no winnings limit (although they did have a limit of how many matches you could play), while ABC had a $30,000 limit (give or take a few grand) and CBS had a $25,000 limit (though on the latter network, you could keep up to $35,000).

  • and starting with the later eps. on Whew!, CBS would also later institute a 5-match/day limit in addition to the $25K limit.
