@SuperDemonhater Poor Ric Flair went broke & even had to borrow money. He put up his world title belt up as collateral. There is no retirement plan for wrestlers. He could of have gone back to the WWE but chose TNA. Hogan was a same victim of the same fate.
Benoit Should be inducted as an individual not a horsemen. Stop putting wrestlers who never wrestle for the WWF/WWE & celeberties in to the Hall of Fame! I put up with Pete Rose & Bob Ucker. At least hey had some physical interaction with the wrestlers & made more than 1 appearence at Wrestlemania. But Drew Carey???????? WTF!!!! Gorgeous George never wrestle in the company. Ole Anderson is right, the Hall of Fame is a Joke!
I can understand over looking Luger, Sting, Paul Roma, Brian Pillman, Mongo McMichael, Chris Benoit & Dean Malinko. But what about Ole Anderson. He along with Flair, Tully & Arn were the original Horsemen. If Vince can put aside differences with Hogan & Bret, surely he can come to terms with Ole. Also induct Machoman & Chris Benoit. Benoit's case was tragic but he did contribute to the sport. The good accomplishments he made should not be erased. Vince has a way of erasing things!!!!!!!!!!
flair will be inducted to the hall of fame for a 2nd time and its just a matter of time b4 evolution joins the hall of fame so flair will be a 3x inductee lol. i know evolution is squawk compare to the 4 horse men but there up there like a sequel to a great movie lol
And Steve McMichael was 1-time WCW United States Champion. Only members who were not champions while in group were Sting, Sid Vicious, Brian Pillman, Curt Hennig and Jeff Jerrett. Irony about all these 5 people is that they were mostly background members of the Horsemen, but have all made quite a careers after leaving the group.
Lex Luger was 1-time NWA United States Champion. Ole Anderson was 1-time NWA National Tag Team Champion with Arn. Chris Benoit was 1-time WCW World Tag Team Champion with Dean Malenko, while Malenko was also 1-time WCW Cruiserweight Champion.
Blanshard was 1-time NWA National Heavyweight Champion, 1-time NWA Television Champion, 1-time NWA United States Champion, 2-time NWA World Tag Team Champion (with Arn) and 2-time NWA World Television Champion.
Altogethr they had 36 titles during entire existance of the group. Flair was 6-time NWA World Heavyweight Champion and 1-time WCW United States Champion. Arn was 1-time NWA National Tag Team Champion (with Ole), 2-time NWA World Tag Team Champion (with Tully) and 2-time NWA World Television Champion.
As we all know, Ric Flair created similar group in TNA called Fortune, whose organization and gimmick were based on Four Horsemen, so many people consider Fortune to be newest incarnation. But Ric Flair himself said that Four Horsemen are now part of history and that he has moved on.
Final two incarnations in WCW were in 1998 and 1999. First one consisted of Flair, Chris Benoit, Dean Malenko, Steve McMichael and manager Arn Anderson, while JJ Dillon was their associate. Final incarnation consisted of Flair, Chris Benoit, Dean Malenko, manager Arn Anderson, referee Charles Robinson and valet Double D (later known as Asya), with associates David Flair and Samantha (Torrie Wilson). Departure of Benoit and Malenko from group marked the end of the Four Horsemen.
Twelvth incarnation was in 1996 and 1997 and consisted of Flair, Arn Anderson, Chris Benoit, valet Woman, Steve McMichael, Jeff Jerrett and valet Debra McMichael. 13th incarnation was in 1997 and consisted of Flair, Curt Hennig (for short time before betraying them to nWo), Chris Benoit and Steve McMichael.
Tenth incarnation came in 1995 and 1996 in WCW and consisted of Flair, Arn Anderson, Brian Pillman, Christ Benoit, valets Woman and Miss Elizabeth and manager Bobby Heenan. Eleventh incarnation was in 1996 and consisted of Flair, Arn Anderson, Christ Benoit, valet Woman, Steve McMichael, valet Debra McMichael (future five of Steve Austin) and valet Miss Elizabeth.
Ninth incarnation was short-lived in 1993 and consisted of Flair, Ole Anderson (who left group after first night), Arn Anderson, Paul Roma and valet Fifi.
Seventh incarnation was in 1990 and 1991 and consisted of Flair, Arn and Ole Anderson and Sting. This was the first face incarnation of the Four Horsemen. Eighth incarnation consisted of Flair, Arn Anderson, Barry Windham, Sid Vicious, valet Woman and manager Ole Anderson.
Fifth and sixth incarnations are not called Four Horsemen but Yamazaki Corporation. Fifth incarnation consisted of Flair, Barry Windham, Kendall Windham, Butch Read and manager Hiro Matsuda. Sixth consisted of Flair, Michael Hayes, Kendall Windham, Butch Read and manager Hiro Matsuda. These two incarnations are the only ones in which Arn Anderson was not part of group in any way, either as member of associate.
Fourth incarnation was acctualy called Three Horsemen as it consisted of Ric Flair, Barry Winham and JJ Dillon as manager, plus associates Kendall Windham and Butch Read. This incarnation existed from 1988 till 1989.
Second incarnation came in 1987 which consisted of Flair, Lex Luger, Arn Anderson and Tully Blanshard with Dark Journey as valet and JJ Dillon as manager. Like first incarnation, this one was heel.
Altogether Four Horsemen had 15 incarnations that spanned 13 years of existence. First incarnaition was created in 1986 and it consisted of Ric Flair, Arn and Ole Anderson and Tully Blanshard, with Baby Doll as valet and JJ Dillon as manager. This lineup is considered to be the greatest of them all.
Four Horsemen is not just an idea... IT IS WAY OF LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think they should be inducted by their biggest enemy The American Dream Dusty Rhodes.
Awesome. 4 Horsemen Forever. By the way, they forgot Ole Anderson. There's probably a chance that both Ole and Gene Anderson might be inducted into the hall of fame as a tag team as well. If that's not the case, than screw the WWE and Donny Vince McMahan. No horsemen wothout Ole.
@Chuloloc Four Horsemen had so many incarnations and members that couldn't all go into Hall of Fame. If they went that way, they would have to induct Chris Benoit who was member of two incarnations in WCW, which of course will sadly never happen. They just picked the most legendary lineup.
@mirtom82 Interesting but everyone knows that the first line up is the BEST lines. After that, the fanchise was never really the same. Since the first incarnation was the ultimate, it should be the chosen one. Ole Anderson beef or not. For the sake of showing true respect to wrestling and true wrestling fans.
@Chuloloc Agreed but you are forgetting one thing. Ole is suffering from multiple sclerosis and also has problems with memory. Also, he has some personal issues with Tully Blunshard so that might be the reason. And yes original lineup was greatest, but Ric, Arn, Tully and Barry are most recognized by younger generations.
@mirtom82 Ok, if the Ole lineup can't be, than the Barry Lineup will do. This is pretty much destroys another induction dream I have. I'm an old school Florida Championship Wrestling (with Gordan Solie) fan and it would of been awesome to see Barry along with his old partner Mike Rotondo (IRS) get inducted as a tag team. Also, inducting managers like Sir Oliver Humperdink, General Akandor Akbar, Paul Bearer and westlers like Ravishing Rick Rude and The Fabulous Freebirds would be awesome.
@Chuloloc Well problem with Mike Rotundo is that many people think he should be inducted with Ted Dibiase, who is already in Hall of Fame. I think they should have inducted entire Windham-Rotundo family together: Blackjack Mulligan, Barry Windham, Kendall Windham and Mike Rotundo. And persons to induct them should have been Ted Dibiase and Husky Harris. But, as Mulligan is already in Hall of Fame, it will probably not happen and so they decided to induct Barry Windham with Four Horsemen.
@Chuloloc And yes Rick Rude most defenetly should be in Hall of Fame but I think he will be inducted together with D-Generation X (Shawn Michaels, Triple H, Chyna, Road Dogg, X-Pac and Billy Gunn) one day as I do think they deserve place in Hall of Fame even though Shawn Michaels is already there. If Ric Flair can be inducted twice why can't Shawn be too.
@mirtom82 Interesting but I would love to see other wrestlers and managers get inducted like Hacksaw Butch Reed, Dick Murdock, Adrian Adonis, Exotic Adrian Street with Miss Linda, Rugged Ranny Garvin, Gorgeous Jimmy Garvin, The Midnight Express and Macho Man Randy Savage. Japanese wrestlers like Giant Baba, Rikidozen, Jumbo Tsuruta, Mitsuharu Misawa and Bull Nakano. They're all eligible.
@Chuloloc I agree about Randy Savage and I'm still hoping he will be included into this year's class together but I think main problem is that he should be inducted together with Miss Elizabeth but she will probably never be inducted as she stated during her lifetime that she doesn't want to be inducted.
@mirtom82 I guest I know why. Have you ever seen the YouTube videos that The Ultimate Warrior did about Hulk Hogan? I guest they have some insight about what happened with Elizabeth. You should chek them out.
Take away Pete Rose, Drew Carey, and Refrigerator Perry out of the Hall of Fame, got to put in the Real Native American Tatanka, Rick Martel, Big Bossman, Paul Bearer, The Great Muta, and Hardcore Holly. They have a passion for the wrestling business and not a celebrity status.
I get that you can't induct the horsemen without him. But I don't see how inducting him again is going to do anything but inflate his already overlarge head. Ok that wasn't nice also doesn't he work for TNA? Like they said he was at HBK's HOF induction he just couldn't be shown on tv. How is that going to work if he's being re-inducted. I bet HHH and Orton have a lot to do with this move to induct him twice.
@temptationofmemories I think they will make it for Ric Flair to induct others into Hall of Fame. If they put Horsemen without Flair people would ask where is Ric. Now the question is will TNA allow Flair to come back to WWE, even if its just for one night.
I'm happy for Arn Anderson and the rest because they absolutely deserve it and should be recognized as being part of a great stable. I just don't get Flair are they re-inducting him with them? Or is he just going in with them?? And if they do re-induct Ric Flair then what happens when they induct the stable of Evolution which they obviously will in future? Does he get re-inducted again along with HHH, Batista and Orton?
How is this going to work as Flair is still working for TNA? Is TNA just letting him and WWE do this? How is Flair able to do this while still under contract to TNA?
British Bulldog Davey Boy Smith has Hall of Fame accolades but won't get in. His Tag Team Championships and Intercontinental Championship was a success, but never won the WWF Championship. Also was the first ever European Champion and even won the Hardcore Championship. Vince McMahon could have crown him the first English Champion but didn't give the title to him.
@21richkid I agree with you about Davey Boy. At least William Regal will go into the HOF. His achievements in WWE and elsewhere are quite good. Intercontinental Champion, World Tag Team Champion, European Champion, Hardcore Champion, WCW Television Champion, WWE Commissioner, Alliance Commissioner, Raw General Manager, 2008 WWE King of the Ring. He also won the ECW championship from Christian when they did the remake of ECW.. So I feel confident that he'll be in sooner or later.
Going back to Koreans, they are the growing Asian minorities in America after Japanese, Chinese, Filipino, and Vietnamese. They should get into the wrestling business and train, but never pursue it. How will they fit in the WWE as Vince McMahon never knows about them. Question is are they going to be put in a stereotype like Black Wrestlers (Race angle) or Hispanic (Immigration angle)? Gail Kim would have led a Korean stable if she stayed but Gail can do that in TNA.
WWE in its history didn't crown a first Korean World Champion, but they crown a first Japanese World Champion in Hall of Famer Antonio Inoki. Gail Kim was first Korean World Champion in the womens division but yet to have the Korean men to win the WWE Championship which is worn by greats such as Hulk Hogan, Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock, and John Cena. No Koreans draw $ in the wrestling business, Booker T (Black), Eddie Guerrero (Hispanic) were minorities who became big in pro wrestling.
@Mrslammie its been a while but last I heard he and Vince hated each other and he has claimed he would never attend the HOF induction even if Vince called him. I don't know how much of it is true but I'm guessing thats why
okay... correct me if im wrong, but Ric Flair is associated with TNA still... right? finnally someone signed with TNA goes on WWE! i wanna see WWE vs. TNA, i watch both, and although i LOVE wwe, but tna has/had (when WWE didnt) RHYNO, kevin nash, RVD, ric flair, JEFFHARDY, matt hardy, and many more, but wwe just has more fans/appeal
Curious about something....Has Hillbilly Jim ever been considered for HOF? I mean he probably wasn't the best wrestler during his time, but he was still popular with the fans. I always thought he was cool. I also remember having this idea of making him a heel and changing his name to Jim Daniels because he looked like someone who probably drank Jack and has sorta a Charlie Daniels look. Make him more of a bar brawler, hell raisin' guy. That would've been cool.
@CarterBuffkin Where is your tangible PROOF of that? TNA has not given any permission to Flair yet. Flair is not going to be on stage at that ceremony unless McMahon cuts a deal with TNA to pay TNA some $ and give TNA a plug on the show. As crappy as TNA is, they would be super weak and moronic to let Flair go work for McMahon while he is under contract with them unless TNA gets something in exchange. It is highly unlikely Flair will be on stage at Wrestlemania or the Hall Of Fame
The Legacy led by Randy Orton, Cody Rhodes, and Ted Dibiase Jr. were as close of being good as the Horseman back in the day. Only thing was Orton's stable has 3 and it was ok, but later on broke up as Orton turned face, Rhodes became Dashing, and Ted Jr. was put into the low mid card status.
The 3 members of the 4 Horseman were in the WWF and part of the corination of the Macho Man Randy Savage and Sensational Sherri. It was Arn Anderson, Tully Blandchard, and Barry Windham. Tully and Barry were pulled out of the Survivor Series that same year in 1989 for personal reasons. Anderson left after the pay per view and return to NWA/WCW.
...now as for "the angle alliance" in tna-yea those guys sucked, and once they joined "the christian coalition" w/aj styles in tow, that was actually half the tna roster in one faction, which as we know from the "corprate ministry" is never a good idea...:(
@mrrobert21-u stated that ALL of angles stables were flops, not true!,during his fued with brock lesnar,"team angle" was born, which consisted of kurt angle, shelton benjamin and charlie haas, after they tearned on angle they became "the worlds greates tag team"-following several tag title runs, they even enjoyed a brief reunion in roh as the best tag team there,so angle DID put people over!
@Kellztube11 Team Angle was a GIANT flop in 2003 when nobody was watching Smackdown. 2003 with Team Angle as well as all other types of stupid crap like Goldturd, Steroid Steiner, and Block Head Lesnar was the last year where McMahon lost $. Team Angle was another case of smark saint Heyman booking something smarks jerk off to, but 90% of the audience cares nothing about, so it draws no $ (hence Heyman got turfed out as head Smackdown writer). ROH bingo hall crap is meaningless.
Macho Man Randy Savage legacy will be cemented if he will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. Being 2 Time WWF Champion, Intercontinental Champion, and 4 time WCW World Heavyweight Champion. His world titles were great and his notable loses during the title matches were Hulk Hogan and Nature Boy Ric Flair except Savage beat Flair for the WWF Championship at Wrestlemania 8. Hogan on the other hand defeated Macho Man for both WWF and WCW Championships in 1989 (WWF) and 1999 (WCW).
The fact was Macho Man Randy Savage did brought Sid Vicious to the wrestling business, and they were allies in WWF during the feud with Jake "The Snake" Roberts and The Undertaker w/Paul Bearer. In 1999 which was Savage final push in WCW, he formed the heel stable Team Madness with Gorgous George (Savage girlfriend at that time), Medusa, Miss Madness (Molly Holly), and Sid was the enforcer. Feuded with Hulk Hogan, Kevin Nash, Sting, and Goldberg.
About Brian Knobbs, he and Nasty Boys partner Jerry Sags did won Tag Team Championship in the WWF and WCW. They made money because of their friendship with Hulk Hogan, and Jimmy Hart who also manage them. As for the mock heart attack that Knobbs did, that was very disrespectful for the memory of Macho Man Randy Savage, with their bad reputation on and outside the ring, less chance of them getting into the WWE Hall of Fame.
Macho Man Randy Savage could be inducted with his father Angelo Poffo, and brother Lanny Pofffo. Also, maybe Miss Elizabeth as they were one of the best couple in WWF during the mid-late 1980's. Savage 1st 2 years was a heel accompany by a face manager and turned face after he and Hulk Hogan formed the Mega Powers. I would like to see Mean Gene Okerlund be part of the Poffo family since he and Savage were close friends, Nasty Boys should be in, Brian Knobbs was sorry for the mock heart attack.
@21richkid You just keep on trolling. Mean Gene is already in the hall of fame and had little to do with the Savage family ever. Elizabeth's family wants nothing to do with wrestling, so she will not be in the hall of fame and she did little in the business any way. Angelo Poffo was a nothing, but Macho Man played politics to get him undeservedly stuck in the WCW hall of fame in 1995. Lanny Poffo was an okay jobber, but that is all. Savage turned face BEFORE Mega Powers formed.
@MRobert21 By the way, I did talk about the Nasty Boys. They might not be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame due to their reputation as bullys and plus Brian Knobbs mock the heart attack after Savage died. Jimmy Hart who was already in the WWE Hall of Fame and back with WWE could lure the Nastys as Hall of Famers. Does Vince McMahon really want that to happen? Also they are friends with Hulk Hogan.
@21richkid I ignored your trolling stupidity on the Nasty Boys in the Hall Of Fame, but since you want to be owned and punked on that, then you will get what you want. Jimmy Hart has NO say in who goes into McMahon's Hall Of Fame. Nasty Boys have tons of heat with McMahon from the last time he let them have a dark match and their general rotten attitude. Nasty Boys were only in WWF for 2 years and had 1 transitional title reign, so they did nothing to deserve being inducted.
Sid was a Horseman, yes. His WWF run was a success since he won the WWF Championship from Shawn Michaels in 1996. A 2 time WWF Champion and headline Wrestlemania 13 defending the title and losing it to The Undertaker. Sid's post Horseman runs like Sid Justice, Sycho Sid, were very agreesive and memorable. It would been Sid-Flair at Wrestlemania 8, but Macho Man Randy Savage won the title, Sid faced Hulk Hogan which was the worst main event Wrestlemania's in Hogan's career.
@21richkid Sid may have been brought in as a Horseman but He never fit the mold, plus he was too dangerous. Look at his powerbombing of Brian Pillman at War Games. He never deserved the honor, and I'm sure he wouldnt be involved at the HOF Night. If anything I'd say the Horsemen to have there; Flair, AA, Blanchard, Windham, Ole Anderson, Dean Malenko. I'd say honor Chris Beniot since he and Malenko made awesome Horsemen. But I know that won't happen.
@21richkid WRONG, it was supposed to be Flair - Hogan at Wrestlemania 8, but the ego maniacs, Hogan and Flair, refused to do business then, so the card was switched. As you admit, Sid / Hogan was a terrible main event, which sinks your Sid hall of fame bull crap. Sid was a flop in WWC and WCW. Sid's 2 WWF title reigns were just short, transitional, title reigns to drop the title to somebody else on a big show. Now at days Sid is working indie shows in high school gymnasiums.
I could only understand that Kurt Angle will go in the WWE Hall of Fame if he and Vince McMahon can reconcile the differences. He was one of the only amateur turn pro wrestler to headline more than 1 Wrestlemania's (WWE Championship, World Heavyweight Championship, and non title matches). You can say that he didnt draw $, but he had one of the best matches in his 7 year WWE Career. Chris Benoit would have followed Kurt Angle to TNA back in 2006. It would have prevented the murder suicide.
@21richkid I do not mind your idiotic trolling on this video by declaring every jobber and loser should be in the hall of fame, but I will not stand for any lies about killer vanilla midget Chris Benoit's heinous crimes. What wrestling company Benoit worked for had NOTHING to do with him deciding to go home and kill his wife and kid because she was about to leave him and take the kid with her. Benoit was under long term WWF contract and was NEVER going to TNA in 2006 or any time.
I was shocked that they would get inducted to the Hall of Fame with Ric Flair being in TNA and all but i bet they can work it out.To me,there will never be a group like the Four Horsemen and it's going to be a beautiful moment to see them get inducted to the Hall of Fame
Why did they induct this version of the horsemen? What about originals Ole and Gene Anderson. Sting and Lex Luger were also horsemen and even Sid Vicious.
@MrGregster17 Ole was asked about that by Mike Mooneyham. Quote: “Vince McMahon hates my guts, and I don’t like him. So that’s all there is to it." Personally I think Ole would have gotten an invite, but WWE knows that Ole would never attend or acknowledge it so why bother. Hopefully he will be be given his due during the Horsemen acceptance speech. Far as the other names, Gene was never a Horsemen. In reality, same could be said for Sting (setup for feud w/Flair), Sid and Paul Roma.
@Naitch35 You left out that in the Mooneyham article Ole said he is too ill to attend any ceremony as he is confined to a wheel chair that hurts him and Ole is unable to travel at all. Ole also said in the article he is already in some halls of fame and he does not care about any of them. As Ole said to Lou Thesz and Verne Gagne, in 20 years nobody will remember you and almost nobody remembers you now, so there is no point to halls of fame in his warped mind. Roma and the others are 0
@MRobert21 I read that, but honestly, even if he was healthy, you know it would make no difference. Personally I think it would be great to see all the original members together for one last time in this type of setting. The NWA Fan Fest appearance they made for Greg Price will be it, and that was a miracle in itself.
@Naitch35 McMahon was going to pay Ole to be at the 2008 Raw retirement ceremony for Flair when Ole was healthier, but Ole chose to be a douche and stay home. Ole hates most people in the business, including the other Horsemen, and the feeling is reciprocal. Ole hates halls of fame and is nearly dead. The smarks are going to whine and cry about McMahon as they always do, but the reason Ole will not be there is 100% Ole and is not the fault of McMahon in any way, shape, or form.
@MrGregster17 Gene Anderson was not an original horsemen. In terms of talent this version of the horsemen. orignal was ric, ole, arn and tully with JJ. And why would Sting and Luger be inducted they were horrible members. Whenever most fans I know rememeber the horsemen its either this incarnation or the orginal or the one with ric, arn, benoit and mongo which sucked cuz mongo was in it.
@r3i6nm8n Exactly!! The only good thing Mongo ever did for the buisness was bring in his wife Deborah for us to admire her delicious puppies.....Mongo himself was a useless faux Steven Seagal with hs ridiculous ponytail and Foghorn Leghorn-like demeanor. He had a big mouth like him too and didn't know when to shut up. To call him or for that matter Sting, Luger,Sid or that ridiculous guitar swinging moron Jeff Jarrett true Horsemen is a slap in the face
@MrGregster17 Gene Anderson was NEVER in any version of the 4 Horsemen (neither was Lars Anderson). Sting was a Horseman for 2 months in a lame angle nobody watched nor even remembers. Flair and Arn LOATHE Sid Vicious because he almost killed Arn with safety scissors in a fight. Sid also was a short term Horseman in an unwatched and unmemorable version of the group. Luger is being screwed, but is not bitter about it and said he will be in the crowd to watch the induction.
@MrGregster17 Gene Anderson was never a horsemen. Ole and Gene were known as the minnisota wrecking crew. The original Horsemen were. Ole and Arn, Tully and Ric, with JJ. The Version of the Horsemen going into the HOF. Is Bw, AA, Tully and Flair with JJ. WOOOOO
@ed2kou1 Sorry everybody I thought I remembered Gene being in the horsemen at one time. As for the others I mentioned they were still horsemen short term or not. Vince just wants to induct the ones he know will show up. Although I'm not sure about Flair showing up since he's in TNA now.
Don't forget that Paul Roma teamed up with WWE Hall of Famer Mr. Wonderful Paul Orndorff back in WCW and winning the Tag Team Championship there. They were called Pretty Wonderful, it was one of best heel tag teams during that period, despite the age difference by 10 years. Roma's partnership was better with Orndorff than Powers because the Stallions had bad blood on each other in real life.
Paul Roma was not only a Horseman member, he was in the WWF as part of the Young Stallions with Jim Powers. Their notable feuds were the Hart Foundation and pull the upset on them. Later on, Roma turned heel and joined forces with Hercules Hernandez and managed by Slick. Beat the Rockers at Summerslam 1990 and were top contenders to the WWF Tag Team Titles. When the Nasty Boys sign with Vince, Roma and Hercules push stopped and job to LOD at Wrestlemania 7.
@21richkid I know you are just trolling with all these lame comments about how you want every performer in history in the hall of fame, but even for trolling it is stupid to say Paul Roma should be in any hall of fame. Roma was a midget jobber who NEVER drew fans nor $. Roma got multiple pushes in WWF and WCW, but failed to get over. Roma did business the wrong way (ask Alex Wright) and is universally reviled by most people in the business. He was lucky to be on the Horsemen DVD.
@MRobert21 Your'e right about Roma. After hearing him on the DVD I wanted to smack him. He had an oppurtunity to learn from the best, how to be a professional in ring and out, and he was a good tag wrestler, it was proven with Jim POwers, Hercules & Paul Orndorff as well as AA. But I think he had an ego problem once he was brought in (God knows how or why) and started hanging with the best of the business.
@Cavillier1970 In fairness to Roma, McMahon heavily edited Roma on that Horsemen DVD to try to make Roma look bad as Roma has explained in interviews with James Guttman and others exactly what he did say in full. Roma's points about Flair and Anderson are mostly correct. Roma was NOT a good tag wrestler nor any other type of wrestler as he NEVER drew $ nor fans. Flair put Roma in the Horsemen because he did not want to pay Tully the $ Tully deserved to reform the Horsemen.
@MRobert21 As you say in fairness; I thought he gelled well in the ring as Power & Glory, & Pretty Wonderful. I think if WWF gave P&G a bigger push they couldve done well. But from what I read he didnt get along well with Powers, so I'm wondering if he really has an attitude problem.
@Cavillier1970 Power And Glory stunk and were given too much of a push since they never got over, but the office liked Hercules and was trying to keep him around. Pretty Wonderful was mid card garbage when WCW was in the toilet, but the office wanted to give Orndorff something to do, though he did not like Roma. Roma and Powers hated each other and they both stunk. Roma is like Tom Zenk in he thinks he should have been a huge star merely because he was good looking and jacked up
Talk about families, the Guerreros should been in by now ( Gory, Chavo Sr., Mando, and Hector). Eddie Guerrero was in the WWE Hall of Fame already. Other Hispanics that should been in is Savio Vega, Mil Mascaras is already in. El Gran Luchadore should get in since it was a gimmick in 2004 during the Eddie-JBL feud. Los Conquestadors might get in.
@21richkid Really, you want Kwang The Puerto Rican Ninja in the hall of fame. Ha, ha, LOL. Not happening because McMahon does business with Carlos Colon now and Vega is his hated revival. Conquistadors were a nothing, heel, jobber, 1980's tag team for a few months. Eddie was the only Guerrero to draw $ and fans in the WWF and globally, hence he is the only Guerrero in the hall of fame. Gory was only big in Mexico and the other brothers flopped every place they went until they quit
@RicardoBs94 The 4 Horsemen kind of just faded away in 1999 as WCW died. After their big 1998 return ceremony, the Horsemen just hung around as mid card faces, then turned heel again to no reaction. Steve McMichael vanished in a strip club and quit wrestling. In May of 1999, Malenko and Benoit were put in a new group with Shane Douglas and Perry Saturn called Revolution before they soon after left for WWF, which was the official end of the Horsemen though it had long been dead.
@ktron70 Ha, ha, LOL at your stupidity. I just once want 1 of you McMahon hating smarks to go up to Harley Race or Greg Valentine face to face to tell them how worthless McMahon's hall of fame is and how their honors mean nothing, so they can twist you into a pretzel. Sure, the 4 Horsemen should turn down a nice pay day to be honored in front of 20,000 live fans and millions on home video and television because a few bitter jerks like you and Ole do not want to see it.
Benoit had his great runs with the Horseman, but the tragic happen in 2007 so he is 100% unlikely. His wife Nancy Benoit was known as Women, don't know if she will get in. Getting back to Kurt Angle if he gets inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame would you like it solo or a collection of stables he was part of: Team Angle (WWE), Main Event Mafia (TNA) if Vince McMahon buys Impact Wrestling? His career would be more significant as a solo wrestler than the stable he was the leader. Mafia had Sting.
@21richkid Nancy / Woman will NEVER be in the Hall Of Fame. Her family hates wrestling and would never allow it. Also, it would bring too much bad publicity due to her murder. Ha, ha, LOL at that joke about McMahon ever inducting any TNA stables or concepts. NOTHING TNA has ever done, including Lame Event Mafia, has drawn any $ or fans, so McMahon will never honor that crap. Blue World Order has more of a chance at the Hall Of Fame than Lame Event Mafia or any other TNA crap.
Kurt Angle might get into the WWE Hall of Fame someday. Does anyone remember on a interview when he started to watch RAW and the wrestling where he won the Gold Medal is real and the WWE is fake? Later on he became one of the best wrestlers in WWE history, but the question is where he would be remember in? Amateur Wrestling or Sports Entertainment? He has a 20 year plus career in the amateur and pro ranks so it would be both.
@21richkid Kurt Angle will NEVER be hired by McMahon again or put in his Hall Of Fame. Angle was fired by McMahon in 2006 for refusing company paid drug rehabilitation and refusing to begin to retire from the ring since Angle was a mental and physical wreck. Angle has just got worse since then including lots of legal problems. Angle immediately jumped to TNA after his firing and said lots of stupid stuff about the McMahons. Angle never drew $ and is over hyped by smarks on the web
@ed2kou1 In addition, Angle plays a heel and face character in his entire pro wrestling career. He is elegible for Hall of Fame in the future, a Olympic Gold Medal winner in 1996 as an American Hero. 15 World Champion and other major titles he held (Intercontinental, European, Tag Team, X-Division, Hardcore). Formed successful stables (mostly heel) such as Team Angle, Angle Alliance, and Main Event Mafia as the leader. He and Vince will reconcile soon.
@21richkid Goof, the majority of professional wrestlers played both face and heel over the course of their careers. The fact Angle won 1 gold medal 16 years ago has nothing to do with professional wrestling. All of Angle's stables were flops and his SCRIPTED title reigns mean zilch because Angle failed to draw $ and fans. McMahon made Angle and gave him everything, then Angle tossed it away due to his substance abuse, so now McMahon has no use for Angle and he is in the minor league
Getting back to Ron Simmons, there are facts on he became WCW World Heavyweight Champion: 1. Ric Flair was not in WCW during that period. 2. Sting got injured which allowed Ron to become the #1 contender for the belt. 3. Beat Vader to win the title which was history making and breaking the color barrier. 4. One of the Horseman alumni Barry Windham celebrated Ron's title win. Was it politics on the reason which he won the title or they couldn't get someone else to face Vader?
@21richkid Ron Simmons was given the WCW title out of the blue as a political maneuver by Bill Watts and Dusty Rhodes in a bid to save their jobs. Watts said some ignorantly racist things in a published interview and he and Rhodes were not known for loving blacks, which pissed off Ted Turner's top black stooge Hank Aaron when he found out about all of that. They felt making a black champion would appease Turner and Aaron, but they were wrong and were soon fired after Simmons bombed.
I did talk about Ron Simmons already. If he gets inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame it would be either Teddy Long or Mark Henry. Those 2 men who are best friends with the man who made history of being the first Black World Champion in pro wrestling. It's long overdue for the former Faarooq to get in. Guys like Booker T, The Rock, Mark Henry, Ezekiel Jackson, R-Truth, Kofi Kingston, and Mark Henry thank Simmons in paving the way for wrestlers of color.
@21richkid If Ron Simmons ever gets in the Hall Of Fame, Bradshaw will do the inducting as they are for real life best friends and the main thing both are known for is their WWF APA tag team. Simmons is a marginal candidate. Simmons himself talks about how bad WCW stunk and how lousy his political WCW title reign was. Simmons has substance abuse problems, which could interfere with his induction, just like Jake Roberts and Scott Hall. There were LOTS of black wrestlers before Ron.
@pedalpunk57 APA has a better case for induction than either Simmons or Layfield does as individuals. I was an APA fan, but they were mid card and not long term, so I do not know if they would get in. I wish Crash Holly was alive to induct them, but maybe Jackie could do it. APA was a WWF creation, which does give it some chance of being inducted over non WWF creations. I doubt there is any hurry to induct Simmons, Layfield, or APA any time soon, but they were good acts.
@joepod Thank you very much for pointing out that truth as it always angers me when people ignore that fact. While the WCCW / USWA World title was not universally recognized as a World title, unlike the AWA, NWA, and WWF titles, it was called a World title and had some global distribution. McMahon ignores that King Parsons existed because he does not want people to realize Rock ripped his whole gimmick off from Parsons (and Gino Hernandez), but Parsons was the first black World champion
@MRobert21 Vince ignores that the Iceman existed because he didn't create him, and to quote Adam Savage from Mythbusters,"I reject your reality and substitute my own..." you know, kinda like he does with his stinkin WWE universe.
@pedalpunk57 McMahon does not completely ignore Parsons as Parsons was prominently featured on the fine 2 disc WCCW DVD set McMahon produced. McMahon just wants people to believe Rock got over being himself and not the truth that Russo scripted Rock to be a clone of Parsons and Hernandez. Fact is Parsons never made it any place besides Texas. WCW, the Apter magazines, and the dirt sheets also failed to acknowledge Parsons as the first black World champion, so it was not only Vince.
@MRobert21 Thanks for clearing that up...I know a lot of performers tend to base elements of their character on others, but never thought of Rock being a clone of Hernandez or Parsons. Then again I can't remember much about Iceman, but Fernandez yes. I'll just watch some of his matches...Any particular ones you'd recommend? I'll also watch the WCCW video I think it's on my Netflix.
@pedalpunk57 Rock's whole People's Champion gimmick where he was a heel and told the fans he was their champion was stolen from Gino Hernandez. Rock copied Gino exactly except he did not call himself the handsome half breed as Gino did. Rooty Poo and his rhyming promos were stolen by Rock from Parsons. Get the Wrestling Gold box set, which has lots of Gino on it, McMahon's Triumph And Tragedy Of World Class 2 disc set, and the Heroes Of World Class documentary by Brian Harrison.
@pedalpunk57 Parsons was briefly in Bill Watts' UWF as well as later in Herb Abrams' UWF, but accomplished nothing in either company. Parsons was in GWF, but that company went no place. Parsons never got into WWF, WCW, nor AWA (the top 3 companies) as far as I know. Parsons really only got over and made a mark in WCCW, but he did not get the WCCW World title until the promotion was sinking and no longer had much global reach, so his title reign was not credited as a World title.
@MRobert21 Damn so I was right, he did compete in Global Wrestling Federation and UWF. The wheels were turning for a moment there but then you confirmed it.
@pedalpunk57 Global was run out of the Dallas Sportatorium where WCCW / USWA had been run, so Parsons worked for it as most of the old Texas wrestlers did. GWF and Abrams' UWF both started big, but quickly flopped once the $ ran out as neither drew anything. Parsons and most of the WCCW talent would jump back and forth to Watts' UWF when ever booker Ken Mantell would jump from promotion to promotion. Parsons' prime was as the number 2 face in early 1980's WCCW.
@joepod I believe Bobo Brazil was champion of the WWA (Indianapolis) before the Iceman, but the WWA was only all of Indiana and half of Illinois, so take that as you will...
This was the best version of the 4 Horsemen. Even though Ole was an original I never thought he was a good fit. In the later groups, it just never worked without Tully.
@spaldoni1 Most fans and wrestling experts agree, because at this time, 88-89 Flair had the World Title, Barry beat Luger for the US title and Arn & Tully had the World Tag Titles, no longer the NWA National Tag Titles. Plus as great as Ole was in the ring, Barry was much more a gifted wrestler as Dusty said. He really made it look easy. And he was versitle as a tag or singles wrestler. But I disagree on one point;
@spaldoni1 The original four were awesome, bringing in Luger I can understand why, but he didnt have the wrestling skills needed. Windham was a perfect fit. Strong work ethics, talent in the ring, and on the mic. Then we wont discuss that A-hole Paul Roma. But towards the end, Dean Malinko & Chris Benoit were perfect Horsemen. Talent in ring, unparalleled, on the mic defenetly. And they made one helluva a tag team. Bischoff screwed the pooch when he killed the Horsemen/NWO feud too early.
@Cavillier1970 Sir I thank you very much for not mentioning Jeff Jarrett or Steve" Bozo" McMichael as members of the Horsemen....they were both bad examples of what the Horsemen would become.....Now Dean Malenko(Simon) or Chris Benoit, on the other hand were far better performers. Luger was all muscle.and not much more....Windham was all heart and much more.
@Cavillier1970 Yes I agree. Like Flair said, the night they had the Horseman together for Flair's return they were on top of the world. Then Bischoff killed it the following week.
@spaldoni1 Which only proves to me Bischoff was drunk on his own power. He had run the NWO gimmick into the ground, and dominated the MNWs, but when Ric Flair returned and they could have had a whole new war they fans would have paid to see. The Four Horsemen leading the charge against the NWO. They could've had title matches, attacks on both sides and War Games that could've equaled the original War Games, say the Horsemen with some help from Sting or Dusty Rhodes vs NWO.
@Cavillier1970 I totally agree. Bischoff didnt know how to keep things fresh. Your right, a Horsemen/NWO feud after that night would of kept things going for the next year.
@spaldoni1 When it's come to various federations I've watched over the years, I've had a number of story ideas, whether it was WWF, NWA, AWA, even the Indys, like GWF, and the ladies leagues like WOW, where I had a notebook full of storyline ideas.
@spaldoni1 Well the first one I can think of was the GAB 88; World Tag Champs, Anderson & Blanchard vs the Road Warriors- instead of Sting & Koloff. Frankly that was one of the dubmest moves I've seen. They lost so much money in that move. I wonder if these companies were to ask some fans about storylines I'm wondering how many could do better than Vince Russo and some of the powers in chargeright now.
@Cavillier1970 Oh yea it definitely should of been Blanchard/Anderson vs Road Warriors. Instead the Warriors were wasted in the Tower of Doom match. Looking back a Sting vs Al Perez match could of been an exciting opener if they had built Perez right. Funny they wrestled at a Clash when Perez was under the Black Scorpion mask LOL
@spaldoni1 I think the Tower of Doom worked as a match, but it didnt need the LOD. Sting & Koloff wouldve worked just as well. I think one problem these companies have WWE, WCW, TNA, whoever, they have some folks in the writing dept. who are businessmen, not wrestling fans or know the industry or the history. So they dont give a damn, except for their paychecks. This in turn hurts the industry and the group, and can alienate fans, and make wrestlers look stupid.
@Cavillier1970 Exactly! That's why wrestling is boring today compared to the glory days. NWA wrestling in the 80s was the best. It was so full of emotion. You really thought these guys hated each other. It was because people that knew the business ran the business. Now you have writers writing scripts for the wrestlers. That's ridiculous! Back then the wrestlers came up with their own promos which made it so real.
@spaldoni1 One of the reasons is due to Dusty was one of those in charge for storytelling. In WWF Paterson was in charge, They knew the business, the history, and respected what came before. When Paterson was retireing, they told one of the top draws he could be in charge of writing and working with new talent, and screwed him over, when he was ready to stop wrestling. It would have been interesting to see what would have happened had Jake the Snake Roberts been in charge of storytelling.
@Cavillier1970 Oh man could you imagine what could of been if Jake Roberts had that job! Jake was one of the best storytellers in wrestling history. He's exactly the kind of behind the scenes guy wrestling needs. Right now the WWE should have a promo class taught by Arn Anderson.
@spaldoni1 Had Jake gotten that job they screwed him out of, the WWE would have better storylines, better folks on the mic, and I bet the bullshit we were exposed to from at least the the mid 90s to maybe today we wouldn't have to deal with. Like I said Roberts wouldve been perfect becuase he knows & respects the history of the business, knows his craft, maybe one of the top 5 men on mic. As for AA you're right also, he maybe the greatest wrestler who never won the world title.
@Cavillier1970 Once again I agree. Wrestlers like Jake Roberts who know, respect and have an incredible mind for the business are the people that need to be writing! Jake could work wonders for the WWE.... I wish in the early 90's Arn Anderson could of received a World Title shot against Sting at a pay per view. Arn deserved it.
@spaldoni1 Anderson vs Sting wouldve been good. But I wouldve prefered to see AA vs Flair for a title shot. We didnt need a stupid reasoning with some writers, but maybe just a good solid match to see whos the better man. Kinda like at the Wrestling Classic w/ Ricky Steamboat vs Davey Boy Smith, or when they put Z-Man vs Flyin Brian for the Lt.Weight Title.
too bad ric flair in on tna
SuperDemonhater 4 days ago

8cire 2 weeks ago 2
@8cire
No, what is a joke is your insistence that a man who murdered his wife and his child should be inducted into the Hall Of Fame.
Get used to it, Benoit will NEVER be inducted into the WWE HOF and rightly so!
MrDraven37 5 days ago
I can understand over looking Luger, Sting, Paul Roma, Brian Pillman, Mongo McMichael, Chris Benoit & Dean Malinko. But what about Ole Anderson. He along with Flair, Tully & Arn were the original Horsemen. If Vince can put aside differences with Hogan & Bret, surely he can come to terms with Ole. Also induct Machoman & Chris Benoit. Benoit's case was tragic but he did contribute to the sport. The good accomplishments he made should not be erased. Vince has a way of erasing things!!!!!!!!!!

And Steve McMichael was 1-time WCW United States Champion. Only members who were not champions while in group were Sting, Sid Vicious, Brian Pillman, Curt Hennig and Jeff Jerrett. Irony about all these 5 people is that they were mostly background members of the Horsemen, but have all made quite a careers after leaving the group.
mirtom82 3 weeks ago
Plus, even though he was never official member of Horsemen, David Flair was 1-time WCW United States Champion in 1999.
mirtom82 3 weeks ago
Lex Luger was 1-time NWA United States Champion. Ole Anderson was 1-time NWA National Tag Team Champion with Arn. Chris Benoit was 1-time WCW World Tag Team Champion with Dean Malenko, while Malenko was also 1-time WCW Cruiserweight Champion.

Barry Windham was 1-time NWA United States Champion and 1-time WCW World Television Champion.

Altogether, 15 wrestlers, 2 managers, 8 valets and one referee.

As we all know, Ric Flair created similar group in TNA called Fortune, whose organization and gimmick were based on Four Horsemen, so many people consider Fortune to be newest incarnation. But Ric Flair himself said that Four Horsemen are now part of history and that he has moved on.
mirtom82 3 weeks ago
Final two incarnations in WCW were in 1998 and 1999. First one consisted of Flair, Chris Benoit, Dean Malenko, Steve McMichael and manager Arn Anderson, while JJ Dillon was their associate. Final incarnation consisted of Flair, Chris Benoit, Dean Malenko, manager Arn Anderson, referee Charles Robinson and valet Double D (later known as Asya), with associates David Flair and Samantha (Torrie Wilson). Departure of Benoit and Malenko from group marked the end of the Four Horsemen.
mirtom82 3 weeks ago
Twelvth incarnation was in 1996 and 1997 and consisted of Flair, Arn Anderson, Chris Benoit, valet Woman, Steve McMichael, Jeff Jerrett and valet Debra McMichael. 13th incarnation was in 1997 and consisted of Flair, Curt Hennig (for short time before betraying them to nWo), Chris Benoit and Steve McMichael.
mirtom82 3 weeks ago
Tenth incarnation came in 1995 and 1996 in WCW and consisted of Flair, Arn Anderson, Brian Pillman, Christ Benoit, valets Woman and Miss Elizabeth and manager Bobby Heenan. Eleventh incarnation was in 1996 and consisted of Flair, Arn Anderson, Christ Benoit, valet Woman, Steve McMichael, valet Debra McMichael (future five of Steve Austin) and valet Miss Elizabeth.

Ninth incarnation was short-lived in 1993 and consisted of Flair, Ole Anderson (who left group after first night), Arn Anderson, Paul Roma and valet Fifi.
mirtom82 3 weeks ago
Seventh incarnation was in 1990 and 1991 and consisted of Flair, Arn and Ole Anderson and Sting. This was the first face incarnation of the Four Horsemen. Eighth incarnation consisted of Flair, Arn Anderson, Barry Windham, Sid Vicious, valet Woman and manager Ole Anderson.
mirtom82 3 weeks ago
Fifth and sixth incarnations are not called Four Horsemen but Yamazaki Corporation. Fifth incarnation consisted of Flair, Barry Windham, Kendall Windham, Butch Read and manager Hiro Matsuda. Sixth consisted of Flair, Michael Hayes, Kendall Windham, Butch Read and manager Hiro Matsuda. These two incarnations are the only ones in which Arn Anderson was not part of group in any way, either as member of associate.
mirtom82 3 weeks ago
Fourth incarnation was acctualy called Three Horsemen as it consisted of Ric Flair, Barry Winham and JJ Dillon as manager, plus associates Kendall Windham and Butch Read. This incarnation existed from 1988 till 1989.
mirtom82 3 weeks ago
The group that is going to Hall of Fame was third incarnation created in 1988.
mirtom82 3 weeks ago
Second incarnation came in 1987 which consisted of Flair, Lex Luger, Arn Anderson and Tully Blanshard with Dark Journey as valet and JJ Dillon as manager. Like first incarnation, this one was heel.
mirtom82 3 weeks ago
Altogether Four Horsemen had 15 incarnations that spanned 13 years of existence. First incarnaition was created in 1986 and it consisted of Ric Flair, Arn and Ole Anderson and Tully Blanshard, with Baby Doll as valet and JJ Dillon as manager. This lineup is considered to be the greatest of them all.

bacon4bkfst 1 month ago
Chuloloc 1 month ago
@Chuloloc Four Horsemen had so many incarnations and members that couldn't all go into Hall of Fame. If they went that way, they would have to induct Chris Benoit who was member of two incarnations in WCW, which of course will sadly never happen. They just picked the most legendary lineup.
mirtom82 4 weeks ago
@mirtom82 Interesting but everyone knows that the first line up is the BEST lines. After that, the fanchise was never really the same. Since the first incarnation was the ultimate, it should be the chosen one. Ole Anderson beef or not. For the sake of showing true respect to wrestling and true wrestling fans.
Chuloloc 4 weeks ago
@Chuloloc Agreed but you are forgetting one thing. Ole is suffering from multiple sclerosis and also has problems with memory. Also, he has some personal issues with Tully Blunshard so that might be the reason. And yes original lineup was greatest, but Ric, Arn, Tully and Barry are most recognized by younger generations.
mirtom82 4 weeks ago
@mirtom82 Ok, if the Ole lineup can't be, than the Barry Lineup will do. This is pretty much destroys another induction dream I have. I'm an old school Florida Championship Wrestling (with Gordan Solie) fan and it would of been awesome to see Barry along with his old partner Mike Rotondo (IRS) get inducted as a tag team. Also, inducting managers like Sir Oliver Humperdink, General Akandor Akbar, Paul Bearer and westlers like Ravishing Rick Rude and The Fabulous Freebirds would be awesome.
Chuloloc 4 weeks ago
@Chuloloc Well problem with Mike Rotundo is that many people think he should be inducted with Ted Dibiase, who is already in Hall of Fame. I think they should have inducted entire Windham-Rotundo family together: Blackjack Mulligan, Barry Windham, Kendall Windham and Mike Rotundo. And persons to induct them should have been Ted Dibiase and Husky Harris. But, as Mulligan is already in Hall of Fame, it will probably not happen and so they decided to induct Barry Windham with Four Horsemen.
mirtom82 4 weeks ago
@Chuloloc And yes Rick Rude most defenetly should be in Hall of Fame but I think he will be inducted together with D-Generation X (Shawn Michaels, Triple H, Chyna, Road Dogg, X-Pac and Billy Gunn) one day as I do think they deserve place in Hall of Fame even though Shawn Michaels is already there. If Ric Flair can be inducted twice why can't Shawn be too.
mirtom82 4 weeks ago
@mirtom82 Interesting but I would love to see other wrestlers and managers get inducted like Hacksaw Butch Reed, Dick Murdock, Adrian Adonis, Exotic Adrian Street with Miss Linda, Rugged Ranny Garvin, Gorgeous Jimmy Garvin, The Midnight Express and Macho Man Randy Savage. Japanese wrestlers like Giant Baba, Rikidozen, Jumbo Tsuruta, Mitsuharu Misawa and Bull Nakano. They're all eligible.
Chuloloc 4 weeks ago
@Chuloloc That's Rugged Ronny Garvin. Type-o.
Chuloloc 4 weeks ago
@Chuloloc I agree about Randy Savage and I'm still hoping he will be included into this year's class together but I think main problem is that he should be inducted together with Miss Elizabeth but she will probably never be inducted as she stated during her lifetime that she doesn't want to be inducted.
mirtom82 4 weeks ago
@mirtom82 I guest I know why. Have you ever seen the YouTube videos that The Ultimate Warrior did about Hulk Hogan? I guest they have some insight about what happened with Elizabeth. You should chek them out.

Take away Pete Rose, Drew Carey, and Refrigerator Perry out of the Hall of Fame, got to put in the Real Native American Tatanka, Rick Martel, Big Bossman, Paul Bearer, The Great Muta, and Hardcore Holly. They have a passion for the wrestling business and not a celebrity status.
21richkid 1 month ago
I get that you can't induct the horsemen without him. But I don't see how inducting him again is going to do anything but inflate his already overlarge head. Ok that wasn't nice also doesn't he work for TNA? Like they said he was at HBK's HOF induction he just couldn't be shown on tv. How is that going to work if he's being re-inducted. I bet HHH and Orton have a lot to do with this move to induct him twice.
temptationofmemories 1 month ago
@temptationofmemories I think they will make it for Ric Flair to induct others into Hall of Fame. If they put Horsemen without Flair people would ask where is Ric. Now the question is will TNA allow Flair to come back to WWE, even if its just for one night.
mirtom82 4 weeks ago

21richkid 1 month ago

21richkid 1 month ago
WWE in its history didn't crown a first Korean World Champion, but they crown a first Japanese World Champion in Hall of Famer Antonio Inoki. Gail Kim was first Korean World Champion in the womens division but yet to have the Korean men to win the WWE Championship which is worn by greats such as Hulk Hogan, Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock, and John Cena. No Koreans draw $ in the wrestling business, Booker T (Black), Eddie Guerrero (Hispanic) were minorities who became big in pro wrestling.

21richkid 1 month ago
The fact was Macho Man Randy Savage did brought Sid Vicious to the wrestling business, and they were allies in WWF during the feud with Jake "The Snake" Roberts and The Undertaker w/Paul Bearer. In 1999 which was Savage final push in WCW, he formed the heel stable Team Madness with Gorgous George (Savage girlfriend at that time), Medusa, Miss Madness (Molly Holly), and Sid was the enforcer. Feuded with Hulk Hogan, Kevin Nash, Sting, and Goldberg.
21richkid 1 month ago
About Brian Knobbs, he and Nasty Boys partner Jerry Sags did won Tag Team Championship in the WWF and WCW. They made money because of their friendship with Hulk Hogan, and Jimmy Hart who also manage them. As for the mock heart attack that Knobbs did, that was very disrespectful for the memory of Macho Man Randy Savage, with their bad reputation on and outside the ring, less chance of them getting into the WWE Hall of Fame.
21richkid 1 month ago
Macho Man Randy Savage could be inducted with his father Angelo Poffo, and brother Lanny Pofffo. Also, maybe Miss Elizabeth as they were one of the best couple in WWF during the mid-late 1980's. Savage 1st 2 years was a heel accompany by a face manager and turned face after he and Hulk Hogan formed the Mega Powers. I would like to see Mean Gene Okerlund be part of the Poffo family since he and Savage were close friends, Nasty Boys should be in, Brian Knobbs was sorry for the mock heart attack.
21richkid 1 month ago
@21richkid You just keep on trolling. Mean Gene is already in the hall of fame and had little to do with the Savage family ever. Elizabeth's family wants nothing to do with wrestling, so she will not be in the hall of fame and she did little in the business any way. Angelo Poffo was a nothing, but Macho Man played politics to get him undeservedly stuck in the WCW hall of fame in 1995. Lanny Poffo was an okay jobber, but that is all. Savage turned face BEFORE Mega Powers formed.
MRobert21 1 month ago
@MRobert21 By the way, I did talk about the Nasty Boys. They might not be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame due to their reputation as bullys and plus Brian Knobbs mock the heart attack after Savage died. Jimmy Hart who was already in the WWE Hall of Fame and back with WWE could lure the Nastys as Hall of Famers. Does Vince McMahon really want that to happen? Also they are friends with Hulk Hogan.
21richkid 1 month ago
@21richkid I ignored your trolling stupidity on the Nasty Boys in the Hall Of Fame, but since you want to be owned and punked on that, then you will get what you want. Jimmy Hart has NO say in who goes into McMahon's Hall Of Fame. Nasty Boys have tons of heat with McMahon from the last time he let them have a dark match and their general rotten attitude. Nasty Boys were only in WWF for 2 years and had 1 transitional title reign, so they did nothing to deserve being inducted.

This is the CLOSEST Chris Benoit will EVER be in the WWE Hall Of Fame...
gtz1975 1 month ago
Sid was a Horseman, yes. His WWF run was a success since he won the WWF Championship from Shawn Michaels in 1996. A 2 time WWF Champion and headline Wrestlemania 13 defending the title and losing it to The Undertaker. Sid's post Horseman runs like Sid Justice, Sycho Sid, were very agreesive and memorable. It would been Sid-Flair at Wrestlemania 8, but Macho Man Randy Savage won the title, Sid faced Hulk Hogan which was the worst main event Wrestlemania's in Hogan's career.
21richkid 1 month ago
@21richkid Sid may have been brought in as a Horseman but He never fit the mold, plus he was too dangerous. Look at his powerbombing of Brian Pillman at War Games. He never deserved the honor, and I'm sure he wouldnt be involved at the HOF Night. If anything I'd say the Horsemen to have there; Flair, AA, Blanchard, Windham, Ole Anderson, Dean Malenko. I'd say honor Chris Beniot since he and Malenko made awesome Horsemen. But I know that won't happen.
Cavillier1970 1 month ago
@21richkid WRONG, it was supposed to be Flair - Hogan at Wrestlemania 8, but the ego maniacs, Hogan and Flair, refused to do business then, so the card was switched. As you admit, Sid / Hogan was a terrible main event, which sinks your Sid hall of fame bull crap. Sid was a flop in WWC and WCW. Sid's 2 WWF title reigns were just short, transitional, title reigns to drop the title to somebody else on a big show. Now at days Sid is working indie shows in high school gymnasiums.
MRobert21 1 month ago
I could only understand that Kurt Angle will go in the WWE Hall of Fame if he and Vince McMahon can reconcile the differences. He was one of the only amateur turn pro wrestler to headline more than 1 Wrestlemania's (WWE Championship, World Heavyweight Championship, and non title matches). You can say that he didnt draw $, but he had one of the best matches in his 7 year WWE Career. Chris Benoit would have followed Kurt Angle to TNA back in 2006. It would have prevented the murder suicide.
21richkid 1 month ago
@21richkid I do not mind your idiotic trolling on this video by declaring every jobber and loser should be in the hall of fame, but I will not stand for any lies about killer vanilla midget Chris Benoit's heinous crimes. What wrestling company Benoit worked for had NOTHING to do with him deciding to go home and kill his wife and kid because she was about to leave him and take the kid with her. Benoit was under long term WWF contract and was NEVER going to TNA in 2006 or any time.
MRobert21 1 month ago
I was shocked that they would get inducted to the Hall of Fame with Ric Flair being in TNA and all but i bet they can work it out.To me,there will never be a group like the Four Horsemen and it's going to be a beautiful moment to see them get inducted to the Hall of Fame
DaMuffinAddict 1 month ago
Why did they induct this version of the horsemen? What about originals Ole and Gene Anderson. Sting and Lex Luger were also horsemen and even Sid Vicious.
MrGregster17 1 month ago
@MrGregster17 Ole was asked about that by Mike Mooneyham. Quote: “Vince McMahon hates my guts, and I don’t like him. So that’s all there is to it." Personally I think Ole would have gotten an invite, but WWE knows that Ole would never attend or acknowledge it so why bother. Hopefully he will be be given his due during the Horsemen acceptance speech. Far as the other names, Gene was never a Horsemen. In reality, same could be said for Sting (setup for feud w/Flair), Sid and Paul Roma.
Naitch35 1 month ago
@Naitch35 You left out that in the Mooneyham article Ole said he is too ill to attend any ceremony as he is confined to a wheel chair that hurts him and Ole is unable to travel at all. Ole also said in the article he is already in some halls of fame and he does not care about any of them. As Ole said to Lou Thesz and Verne Gagne, in 20 years nobody will remember you and almost nobody remembers you now, so there is no point to halls of fame in his warped mind. Roma and the others are 0
MRobert21 1 month ago
@MRobert21 I read that, but honestly, even if he was healthy, you know it would make no difference. Personally I think it would be great to see all the original members together for one last time in this type of setting. The NWA Fan Fest appearance they made for Greg Price will be it, and that was a miracle in itself.
Naitch35 1 month ago
@Naitch35 McMahon was going to pay Ole to be at the 2008 Raw retirement ceremony for Flair when Ole was healthier, but Ole chose to be a douche and stay home. Ole hates most people in the business, including the other Horsemen, and the feeling is reciprocal. Ole hates halls of fame and is nearly dead. The smarks are going to whine and cry about McMahon as they always do, but the reason Ole will not be there is 100% Ole and is not the fault of McMahon in any way, shape, or form.
MRobert21 1 month ago
@MrGregster17 Gene Anderson was not an original horsemen. In terms of talent this version of the horsemen. orignal was ric, ole, arn and tully with JJ. And why would Sting and Luger be inducted they were horrible members. Whenever most fans I know rememeber the horsemen its either this incarnation or the orginal or the one with ric, arn, benoit and mongo which sucked cuz mongo was in it.
r3i6nm8n 1 month ago
@r3i6nm8n Exactly!! The only good thing Mongo ever did for the buisness was bring in his wife Deborah for us to admire her delicious puppies.....Mongo himself was a useless faux Steven Seagal with hs ridiculous ponytail and Foghorn Leghorn-like demeanor. He had a big mouth like him too and didn't know when to shut up. To call him or for that matter Sting, Luger,Sid or that ridiculous guitar swinging moron Jeff Jarrett true Horsemen is a slap in the face
pedalpunk57 1 month ago
@MrGregster17 Gene Anderson was NEVER in any version of the 4 Horsemen (neither was Lars Anderson). Sting was a Horseman for 2 months in a lame angle nobody watched nor even remembers. Flair and Arn LOATHE Sid Vicious because he almost killed Arn with safety scissors in a fight. Sid also was a short term Horseman in an unwatched and unmemorable version of the group. Luger is being screwed, but is not bitter about it and said he will be in the crowd to watch the induction.
MRobert21 1 month ago
@MrGregster17 Gene Anderson was never a horsemen. Ole and Gene were known as the minnisota wrecking crew. The original Horsemen were. Ole and Arn, Tully and Ric, with JJ. The Version of the Horsemen going into the HOF. Is Bw, AA, Tully and Flair with JJ. WOOOOO
ed2kou1 1 month ago
@ed2kou1 Sorry everybody I thought I remembered Gene being in the horsemen at one time. As for the others I mentioned they were still horsemen short term or not. Vince just wants to induct the ones he know will show up. Although I'm not sure about Flair showing up since he's in TNA now.
MrGregster17 1 month ago
Don't forget that Paul Roma teamed up with WWE Hall of Famer Mr. Wonderful Paul Orndorff back in WCW and winning the Tag Team Championship there. They were called Pretty Wonderful, it was one of best heel tag teams during that period, despite the age difference by 10 years. Roma's partnership was better with Orndorff than Powers because the Stallions had bad blood on each other in real life.
21richkid 1 month ago
Paul Roma was not only a Horseman member, he was in the WWF as part of the Young Stallions with Jim Powers. Their notable feuds were the Hart Foundation and pull the upset on them. Later on, Roma turned heel and joined forces with Hercules Hernandez and managed by Slick. Beat the Rockers at Summerslam 1990 and were top contenders to the WWF Tag Team Titles. When the Nasty Boys sign with Vince, Roma and Hercules push stopped and job to LOD at Wrestlemania 7.
21richkid 1 month ago
@21richkid I know you are just trolling with all these lame comments about how you want every performer in history in the hall of fame, but even for trolling it is stupid to say Paul Roma should be in any hall of fame. Roma was a midget jobber who NEVER drew fans nor $. Roma got multiple pushes in WWF and WCW, but failed to get over. Roma did business the wrong way (ask Alex Wright) and is universally reviled by most people in the business. He was lucky to be on the Horsemen DVD.
MRobert21 1 month ago
@MRobert21 Your'e right about Roma. After hearing him on the DVD I wanted to smack him. He had an oppurtunity to learn from the best, how to be a professional in ring and out, and he was a good tag wrestler, it was proven with Jim POwers, Hercules & Paul Orndorff as well as AA. But I think he had an ego problem once he was brought in (God knows how or why) and started hanging with the best of the business.
Cavillier1970 1 month ago
@Cavillier1970 In fairness to Roma, McMahon heavily edited Roma on that Horsemen DVD to try to make Roma look bad as Roma has explained in interviews with James Guttman and others exactly what he did say in full. Roma's points about Flair and Anderson are mostly correct. Roma was NOT a good tag wrestler nor any other type of wrestler as he NEVER drew $ nor fans. Flair put Roma in the Horsemen because he did not want to pay Tully the $ Tully deserved to reform the Horsemen.
MRobert21 1 month ago
@MRobert21 As you say in fairness; I thought he gelled well in the ring as Power & Glory, & Pretty Wonderful. I think if WWF gave P&G a bigger push they couldve done well. But from what I read he didnt get along well with Powers, so I'm wondering if he really has an attitude problem.
Cavillier1970 1 month ago
@Cavillier1970 Power And Glory stunk and were given too much of a push since they never got over, but the office liked Hercules and was trying to keep him around. Pretty Wonderful was mid card garbage when WCW was in the toilet, but the office wanted to give Orndorff something to do, though he did not like Roma. Roma and Powers hated each other and they both stunk. Roma is like Tom Zenk in he thinks he should have been a huge star merely because he was good looking and jacked up
MRobert21 1 month ago
Talk about families, the Guerreros should been in by now ( Gory, Chavo Sr., Mando, and Hector). Eddie Guerrero was in the WWE Hall of Fame already. Other Hispanics that should been in is Savio Vega, Mil Mascaras is already in. El Gran Luchadore should get in since it was a gimmick in 2004 during the Eddie-JBL feud. Los Conquestadors might get in.
21richkid 1 month ago
@21richkid Really, you want Kwang The Puerto Rican Ninja in the hall of fame. Ha, ha, LOL. Not happening because McMahon does business with Carlos Colon now and Vega is his hated revival. Conquistadors were a nothing, heel, jobber, 1980's tag team for a few months. Eddie was the only Guerrero to draw $ and fans in the WWF and globally, hence he is the only Guerrero in the hall of fame. Gory was only big in Mexico and the other brothers flopped every place they went until they quit

how did the 4 horseman end?
RicardoBs94 1 month ago
@RicardoBs94 The 4 Horsemen kind of just faded away in 1999 as WCW died. After their big 1998 return ceremony, the Horsemen just hung around as mid card faces, then turned heel again to no reaction. Steve McMichael vanished in a strip club and quit wrestling. In May of 1999, Malenko and Benoit were put in a new group with Shane Douglas and Perry Saturn called Revolution before they soon after left for WWF, which was the official end of the Horsemen though it had long been dead.
MRobert21 1 month ago
The rest of the horsemen should follow Ole's lead and wash there hands of this clown show awards crap

21richkid 1 month ago
@21richkid Nancy / Woman will NEVER be in the Hall Of Fame. Her family hates wrestling and would never allow it. Also, it would bring too much bad publicity due to her murder. Ha, ha, LOL at that joke about McMahon ever inducting any TNA stables or concepts. NOTHING TNA has ever done, including Lame Event Mafia, has drawn any $ or fans, so McMahon will never honor that crap. Blue World Order has more of a chance at the Hall Of Fame than Lame Event Mafia or any other TNA crap.
MRobert21 1 month ago
Kurt Angle might get into the WWE Hall of Fame someday. Does anyone remember on a interview when he started to watch RAW and the wrestling where he won the Gold Medal is real and the WWE is fake? Later on he became one of the best wrestlers in WWE history, but the question is where he would be remember in? Amateur Wrestling or Sports Entertainment? He has a 20 year plus career in the amateur and pro ranks so it would be both.
21richkid 1 month ago
@21richkid Kurt Angle will NEVER be hired by McMahon again or put in his Hall Of Fame. Angle was fired by McMahon in 2006 for refusing company paid drug rehabilitation and refusing to begin to retire from the ring since Angle was a mental and physical wreck. Angle has just got worse since then including lots of legal problems. Angle immediately jumped to TNA after his firing and said lots of stupid stuff about the McMahons. Angle never drew $ and is over hyped by smarks on the web
MRobert21 1 month ago
@MRobert21 . You dumbass, you don't know what draws and don't draw! Angle will be in the HOF someday!
ed2kou1 1 month ago
@ed2kou1 In addition, Angle plays a heel and face character in his entire pro wrestling career. He is elegible for Hall of Fame in the future, a Olympic Gold Medal winner in 1996 as an American Hero. 15 World Champion and other major titles he held (Intercontinental, European, Tag Team, X-Division, Hardcore). Formed successful stables (mostly heel) such as Team Angle, Angle Alliance, and Main Event Mafia as the leader. He and Vince will reconcile soon.
21richkid 1 month ago
@21richkid Goof, the majority of professional wrestlers played both face and heel over the course of their careers. The fact Angle won 1 gold medal 16 years ago has nothing to do with professional wrestling. All of Angle's stables were flops and his SCRIPTED title reigns mean zilch because Angle failed to draw $ and fans. McMahon made Angle and gave him everything, then Angle tossed it away due to his substance abuse, so now McMahon has no use for Angle and he is in the minor league
MRobert21 1 month ago
Getting back to Ron Simmons, there are facts on he became WCW World Heavyweight Champion: 1. Ric Flair was not in WCW during that period. 2. Sting got injured which allowed Ron to become the #1 contender for the belt. 3. Beat Vader to win the title which was history making and breaking the color barrier. 4. One of the Horseman alumni Barry Windham celebrated Ron's title win. Was it politics on the reason which he won the title or they couldn't get someone else to face Vader?
21richkid 1 month ago
@21richkid Ron Simmons was given the WCW title out of the blue as a political maneuver by Bill Watts and Dusty Rhodes in a bid to save their jobs. Watts said some ignorantly racist things in a published interview and he and Rhodes were not known for loving blacks, which pissed off Ted Turner's top black stooge Hank Aaron when he found out about all of that. They felt making a black champion would appease Turner and Aaron, but they were wrong and were soon fired after Simmons bombed.
MRobert21 1 month ago
I did talk about Ron Simmons already. If he gets inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame it would be either Teddy Long or Mark Henry. Those 2 men who are best friends with the man who made history of being the first Black World Champion in pro wrestling. It's long overdue for the former Faarooq to get in. Guys like Booker T, The Rock, Mark Henry, Ezekiel Jackson, R-Truth, Kofi Kingston, and Mark Henry thank Simmons in paving the way for wrestlers of color.
21richkid 1 month ago
@21richkid If Ron Simmons ever gets in the Hall Of Fame, Bradshaw will do the inducting as they are for real life best friends and the main thing both are known for is their WWF APA tag team. Simmons is a marginal candidate. Simmons himself talks about how bad WCW stunk and how lousy his political WCW title reign was. Simmons has substance abuse problems, which could interfere with his induction, just like Jake Roberts and Scott Hall. There were LOTS of black wrestlers before Ron.
MRobert21 1 month ago
@MRobert21 Wait a minute.......who else thinks the APA should be inducted besides me?
pedalpunk57 1 month ago
@pedalpunk57 APA has a better case for induction than either Simmons or Layfield does as individuals. I was an APA fan, but they were mid card and not long term, so I do not know if they would get in. I wish Crash Holly was alive to induct them, but maybe Jackie could do it. APA was a WWF creation, which does give it some chance of being inducted over non WWF creations. I doubt there is any hurry to induct Simmons, Layfield, or APA any time soon, but they were good acts.
MRobert21 1 month ago
@21richkid The first Black World Champion in pro wrestling was Iceman King Parsons.
joepod 1 month ago
@joepod Thank you very much for pointing out that truth as it always angers me when people ignore that fact. While the WCCW / USWA World title was not universally recognized as a World title, unlike the AWA, NWA, and WWF titles, it was called a World title and had some global distribution. McMahon ignores that King Parsons existed because he does not want people to realize Rock ripped his whole gimmick off from Parsons (and Gino Hernandez), but Parsons was the first black World champion
MRobert21 1 month ago
@MRobert21 Vince ignores that the Iceman existed because he didn't create him, and to quote Adam Savage from Mythbusters,"I reject your reality and substitute my own..." you know, kinda like he does with his stinkin WWE universe.
pedalpunk57 1 month ago

I'll also watch the WCCW video I think it's on my Netflix.
pedalpunk57 1 month ago
@pedalpunk57 Rock's whole People's Champion gimmick where he was a heel and told the fans he was their champion was stolen from Gino Hernandez. Rock copied Gino exactly except he did not call himself the handsome half breed as Gino did. Rooty Poo and his rhyming promos were stolen by Rock from Parsons. Get the Wrestling Gold box set, which has lots of Gino on it, McMahon's Triumph And Tragedy Of World Class 2 disc set, and the Heroes Of World Class documentary by Brian Harrison.
MRobert21 1 month ago
@pedalpunk57 Parsons was briefly in Bill Watts' UWF as well as later in Herb Abrams' UWF, but accomplished nothing in either company. Parsons was in GWF, but that company went no place. Parsons never got into WWF, WCW, nor AWA (the top 3 companies) as far as I know. Parsons really only got over and made a mark in WCCW, but he did not get the WCCW World title until the promotion was sinking and no longer had much global reach, so his title reign was not credited as a World title.
MRobert21 1 month ago
@MRobert21 Damn so I was right, he did compete in Global Wrestling Federation and UWF. The wheels were turning for a moment there but then you confirmed it.
pedalpunk57 1 month ago
@pedalpunk57 Global was run out of the Dallas Sportatorium where WCCW / USWA had been run, so Parsons worked for it as most of the old Texas wrestlers did. GWF and Abrams' UWF both started big, but quickly flopped once the $ ran out as neither drew anything. Parsons and most of the WCCW talent would jump back and forth to Watts' UWF when ever booker Ken Mantell would jump from promotion to promotion. Parsons' prime was as the number 2 face in early 1980's WCCW.

This was the best version of the 4 Horsemen. Even though Ole was an original I never thought he was a good fit. In the later groups, it just never worked without Tully.
spaldoni1 1 month ago
@spaldoni1 Most fans and wrestling experts agree, because at this time, 88-89 Flair had the World Title, Barry beat Luger for the US title and Arn & Tully had the World Tag Titles, no longer the NWA National Tag Titles. Plus as great as Ole was in the ring, Barry was much more a gifted wrestler as Dusty said. He really made it look easy. And he was versitle as a tag or singles wrestler. But I disagree on one point;
Cavillier1970 1 month ago
@spaldoni1 The original four were awesome, bringing in Luger I can understand why, but he didnt have the wrestling skills needed. Windham was a perfect fit. Strong work ethics, talent in the ring, and on the mic. Then we wont discuss that A-hole Paul Roma. But towards the end, Dean Malinko & Chris Benoit were perfect Horsemen. Talent in ring, unparalleled, on the mic defenetly. And they made one helluva a tag team. Bischoff screwed the pooch when he killed the Horsemen/NWO feud too early.
Cavillier1970 1 month ago
@Cavillier1970 Sir I thank you very much for not mentioning Jeff Jarrett or Steve" Bozo" McMichael as members of the Horsemen....they were both bad examples of what the Horsemen would become.....Now Dean Malenko(Simon) or Chris Benoit, on the other hand were far better performers. Luger was all muscle.and not much more....Windham was all heart and much more.
pedalpunk57 1 month ago
@Cavillier1970 Yes I agree. Like Flair said, the night they had the Horseman together for Flair's return they were on top of the world. Then Bischoff killed it the following week.
spaldoni1 1 month ago
@spaldoni1 Which only proves to me Bischoff was drunk on his own power. He had run the NWO gimmick into the ground, and dominated the MNWs, but when Ric Flair returned and they could have had a whole new war they fans would have paid to see. The Four Horsemen leading the charge against the NWO. They could've had title matches, attacks on both sides and War Games that could've equaled the original War Games, say the Horsemen with some help from Sting or Dusty Rhodes vs NWO.
Cavillier1970 1 month ago
@Cavillier1970 I totally agree. Bischoff didnt know how to keep things fresh. Your right, a Horsemen/NWO feud after that night would of kept things going for the next year.
spaldoni1 1 month ago
@spaldoni1 When it's come to various federations I've watched over the years, I've had a number of story ideas, whether it was WWF, NWA, AWA, even the Indys, like GWF, and the ladies leagues like WOW, where I had a notebook full of storyline ideas.
Cavillier1970 1 month ago
@Cavillier1970 Oh man I love doing fantasy booking. I think my favorite is re booking Starrcade 89. It's a lot of fun
spaldoni1 1 month ago
@spaldoni1 Well the first one I can think of was the GAB 88; World Tag Champs, Anderson & Blanchard vs the Road Warriors- instead of Sting & Koloff. Frankly that was one of the dubmest moves I've seen. They lost so much money in that move. I wonder if these companies were to ask some fans about storylines I'm wondering how many could do better than Vince Russo and some of the powers in chargeright now.
Cavillier1970 1 month ago
@Cavillier1970 Oh yea it definitely should of been Blanchard/Anderson vs Road Warriors. Instead the Warriors were wasted in the Tower of Doom match. Looking back a Sting vs Al Perez match could of been an exciting opener if they had built Perez right. Funny they wrestled at a Clash when Perez was under the Black Scorpion mask LOL
spaldoni1 1 month ago
@spaldoni1 I think the Tower of Doom worked as a match, but it didnt need the LOD. Sting & Koloff wouldve worked just as well. I think one problem these companies have WWE, WCW, TNA, whoever, they have some folks in the writing dept. who are businessmen, not wrestling fans or know the industry or the history. So they dont give a damn, except for their paychecks. This in turn hurts the industry and the group, and can alienate fans, and make wrestlers look stupid.
Cavillier1970 1 month ago
@Cavillier1970 Exactly! That's why wrestling is boring today compared to the glory days. NWA wrestling in the 80s was the best. It was so full of emotion. You really thought these guys hated each other. It was because people that knew the business ran the business. Now you have writers writing scripts for the wrestlers. That's ridiculous! Back then the wrestlers came up with their own promos which made it so real.
spaldoni1 1 month ago
@spaldoni1 One of the reasons is due to Dusty was one of those in charge for storytelling. In WWF Paterson was in charge, They knew the business, the history, and respected what came before. When Paterson was retireing, they told one of the top draws he could be in charge of writing and working with new talent, and screwed him over, when he was ready to stop wrestling. It would have been interesting to see what would have happened had Jake the Snake Roberts been in charge of storytelling.
Cavillier1970 1 month ago
