@ExploringBeyond Family guy branched out too much. I mean cleveland got his own show. Plus they got away from their basic formula, random jokes ripping on people and current events. They keep trying to tell a damn story. That's not what family guy is about. American dad is about the story line, not Family guy. At first I didn't get American dad because I didn't know what Seth was going for. I watched an interview with Seth MacFarlane, and it just makes sense now.

I like Family Guy more, for one reason; everytime they make a metaphorical comment to describe something that just happened, they actually show a little clip of it, and they are always hilarious. American Dad and the Cleveland show don't do that, but they are funny, I'll give them that.
The reason why they don't show clips on American Dad is because the homour is more grown-up then Family Guy. But I do get why people like Family Guy... I mean, it's funny as hell!
