@1995marines Actually, this song fit very well in Kill Bill. It was perfect for the scene it was used in. It was somber, mournful, even, which was a good representation of O-Ren's pain at losing her parents. The less emotional parts of the song worked well to represent her resolve to avenge them. It was actually a brilliant choice.

Also, please explain to me how this movie sucked, because, for the life of me, I cannot fathom it.

European swords could thrust and penetrate thick steel armour, slash and hack a combatants arm off, bash and break bones, and even disarm your opponent. Unlike Eastern swords, every part of the sword of a European was used as a weapon, the blade, the pommel the hand guard everything.

The sword wasn't the principle weapon of the Northern European soldier, the spear was. Also, I'd like to point out that the samurai were an elite force, they weren't ordinary infantrymen so it wouldn't be surprising that they had good equipment. The same case with the Anglo Saxons who used to same methods, the Huscarls swords also used the same technique.
