I'm pretty sure the breaking point was when we were 4 points out, had a weekend series against Pittsburgh and Atlanta, had the lead in both, and lost them both in OT. If we won both of those, we could've been tied for 8th with like 10-15 games to go.

Reimer has played great, and if he was in earlier in the year we would prob have won an extra game or two at least and be either in the playoffs, or very close.

Who ever thought Kessel would be Hull, a 70 goal scorer. The Pens won Crosby in a league wide lottery. Leafs made the playoffs the year ovechkin was drafted.

What does it matter now if he was called up a few months earlier, what relevance does it have? ABSOLUTELY NONE. Would getting called up make any difference in the standings, one can argue both, but it is irrelevant because a correlation between Reims sucess now can't be correlated to two months before it.
