No, I used Camtasia Studio for this particular video. In my Windows Movie Maker HD Render tutorial, I used Sony Vegas though

Uhh easy, cos he uploaded a res of 1280 by 720 and the non-HD res is like 720 or something its only scaling it down. So off course its going to be clear.
