three should be the absolute minimum - 2 channel planes (unless they are sailplanes) do not allow you to control the motor of the aircraft and the plane will fly until it runs out of battery / fuel and glide to the ground - I do not recommend getting planes like that because of the lack of control that you have over it. Thankfully, we do not carry any 2 channel powered planes -=)
lol! I just responded to your other questions and recommended the Wing Dragon which is very similar to this plane. This one looks nicer because of the paint scheme but the other is a few bucks less. The Wing Dragon comes in 2 versions: 3 channel ($100 RTF) and 4 channel ($136). All three of these planes great trainers, it just depends on how many channels you want to learn on: The Wing Dragon 3 and the Wingo are both 3 channel planes and the Wing Dragon 4 is a 4 channel plane 4 is better but it
