What a lovely voice this Maria has. I actually like her voice better than that of the most recent Broadway production's Maria. I see this video is 4 years old - I wonder if she's using her voice professionally.

Maria isn't acting very well but they both have great voices. I wish Anita knew the balance between making your voice sound reprimanding and making it sound harsh. It sounds like it was really hard on her voice. It's given me some inspiration for doing this song for drama class though.

I just finished playing for my school's West Side Story performance. The freshman who plays Maria made me cry. She made this scene so emotional! Incredibly talented girl, not only she has the voice, but the acting as well. I'm in love with this song now!!

I just watched several versions of this on youtube, and I can confirm that his is the best version. Honestly, I also saw W.S.S. on Broadway, and I actually believe they may surpass them as well.

I saw this production while visiting an old friend in Jersey. I met both actresses because I was so impressed with their performances. Maria's father was also in the show, which I loved. I think Anita is actually of hispanic decent, so it's funny that someone said she didn't sount 'puerto rican' enough. Both girls are so little in person, i thought they were 15 or 16, very cute. Great job, girls! Let us know if you're doing anything else!

this was held at Cumberland County College in Vineland, NJ, i saw it and it was amazing, too bad i wasnt in it, but now i do shows there now and its an AMAZING experience =)

i absolutely love the passion when it gets intense, and both voices are beautiful. The ONLY comment I could really bring to this that is negative, that on almost every note that maria does that is off of her regular range is holding the same verbrata, and begins to be very repetitive. I'm talking about before I Have a Love, it sounds nice for that song. But before that, it's a little too much.

I want to do this in my school, it's the only chance I'll get the lead, because our directors only chose blondes.(they prefer blondes to brunettes, more feminine) but both sang extremely well. I love Maria's high note at the end. =]
