no Tyson for several reasons:

1. his contract with nintendo expired in the 80's and copies of the game made after that had a guy called mr. dream in it.

2. contract not renewed because of Tyson losing/ rape charges

4. Tyson never has been an important part of the game. the original arcade version didn't have him, the original NES release didn't have him, and Super-Punch Out didn't have him. Tyson was just a cheap marketing gimmick. though he was hard as hell.

Yeah with what we know right now i think the roster proposed by JustinMcQueenTheMan is going to be our 13 boxers, which yes means Dragon Chan is probably going to be in the game. Tho after seeing how involved title defense mode actually is, i would not be surprised if a secret 14th final boss boxer appears after beating that mode.

i think that's an excellent roster right there, tho i have doubts about soda popinski (he is my FAVORITE btw) but the only thing going for him is the "belching" esrb rating thing which could be someone else easily... if soda doesn't make it: i'm hopeing doc louis as the last boss. macho mans a great guy i'm 99% sure he's in but i dunno if he's final boss material... well maybe final boss first time around then a secret FINAL boss after title defense mode? i'm basing that on nothing of course XD

No te preocupes, los creadores del juego son candienses, gente que por lo menos se suele documentar un poco más y saben dodne esta España. Las voces francesas y alemanas de Joe y Kaiser están muy bien puestas y por ejemplo Joe habla Francés de francia y no de canada.

También sería erroneo por ejemplo que tuviera acento andaluz, que seguro lo tiene, viniendo de madrid. Pero bueno, es bastante pasable ya que quien sabe. Tal vez fuera torero andaluz que se fuera a vivir a Madrid.

To be honest, Punch out on the NES only had about 4 original characters, one of which was very similar to an old one (Piston Honda and Hurricane, I believe they have a similar special attack) Anyway, other than that, there's Von Kaiser, King Hippo and Don Flamenco. All the others were from the arcade games (I'm not counting Mike Tyson/Mr Dream) so when people say there are too many returning characters, it's not really that different to the original. Super Punch-out however...

When I was looking at best buy's recent flyer for this week, i saw a preorder flyer for punch-out and it looks like there are two more boxers are confirmed.

One looks like Vodka Drukenski/Soda Popenski and the other one looks like either Mr. Sandman or Piston Hurricane. In my opinion that is more likely Piston Hurricane.

You'll have to understand why I'm not going to easily believe you. While it's not completely far-fetched, without an actual outside source, I'm not going to take it as gospel. I can't just accept it just yet.

It's similiar to how Super Macho Man hasn't been confirmed, though the ESRB says someone "flexes his pectoral muscles". If you're right and Honda is in, good. But I will remain skeptical, and refuse to call him "confirmed to be in" without an actual source.
