  • Probably at the same time of David Chiang.

  • nice vid !

  • while i absolutely love the old school genre of Kung-Fu Movies i am soooo glad that Bruce Lee didn't to those. he now stands alone as the greatest martial artist ever! all because he wanted to break free from those chinese stereotypes.

  • The 6th deadly Venom!

  • lol at the Pink Floyd music choice for this

  • i read his weight was about 155 pounds here.

  • he looks uber gay

  • ..Wow Bruce looked really cool here..as if he was Super Saiyan Bruce Lee lol

  • Realy good video wit rare photos

    THANKS!!

  • I hope you keep this posted. I wrote about this in my article and on my blog. I left a link to LucasPicturesUK.

  • Bruce Lee como Satoichi genial

  • How hard was he? Was he unbeatable? How would Jackie Chan have done against him?

  • @EdomiteSlayerYoMomma NO CONTEST!! Bruce KILL'S HIM!! BUT in real life Bruce liked him.Jackie was a young stuntman on several of his movie's and was impressed with the young actor.

  • So cool to see Bruce with classical Chinese weapons like broadsword, double straight-swords,Axes,Fan & double melons!!!

  • i wud hve love 2 c him in that costumes

  • These pictures are just a piece of the pilot program for US tv THE WARRIOR. AWarner Brothers producer propouse to Bruce in 1968. they promess the prime roll to Sifu Lee but the show was rejected because he look too chinese for the racist yankee mind....he dissapointed and go to Hong Kong. .

  • America is the most corrupted country. It may be stated to be a free world, but it is full of hatred. Because Bruce Lee was the number one fighter in the world, white people had to kill him. White people think his reputation will go down, but instead it got even more popular. He is known world-wide and America is just the worst country... everyone knows that.

  • this is hanfu

  • Yo what documentary is this from. I might even have it cuz it kind of looks familiar.

  • There was a rumor that Bruce Lee was about to sign a contract with The Shaw Bros. for a couple of movies; at that time, he already had a contract with Raymond Chow (since things worked great between them), hence, the costumes!...

Regarding Brandon Lee in "The Crow": In 1993, Brandon was accidently shot and killed on the set; they had to "patch it up" to finish the "Crow." On example is when after Eric comes back from the grave to put makeups on in front of the cracked mirror.

  • Really huh...would be nice had Bruce lived for another ten years, or so?...

the variaty of supercharged fist-flying flicks the late great master would share with us, in addition to his swordplay movie project!

  • These photo shots were made during the filming of "The Way of the Dragon," aka. "The Return of the Dragon" (in America); Bruce's plan was to make a swordplay movie about an ancient Chinese hero (if I'm not mistaken) after TRofD...

Unfortunately, by the time TRofD was completed, the late great master has already gained world fame...

And, "Enter the Dragon" came around; and the rest is history.

  • great post 5/5

  • is this a movie?

  • Wow, Bruce looked great in those costume!

  • he looks alot like brandon where they related?

  • NIKKA!r u serious!brandon lee is his fukin son!but he also died filming the crow

  • Whats the crow?

  • next time google it that question made you look stupid *_*

    no offence

  • yes brandon is his son!

  • wow he looks like david chiang and ti lung

  • Bruce Lee as Zatoichi?

    That would have been SUPERB!

  • That photos, are probably timing between the end of 'Enter the Dragon' work (april '73), and after him first collas on may '73. Bruce infact and shore, will want to make a film for Shaw Bros. In that immages, we gonna see how Bruce is changed, if comparised whit 'Bigg Boss', and 'Fist of Fury'. I'm admired very deeply Bruce, from long long time a go, but unfontunaly, i think if his incredible and fastest suxcess, destroy him. Three mounths later, Bruce death....

  • Is it safe to say or argue that Sir Run Run Shaw may actually have more of these photos or may even have footage of Bruce. I've heard he will hold on to stuff like this forever never letting the public see.

  • Oddly enough, I have heard similar rumors as well. Apparently Sir Run Run Shaw feels that Bruce wouldn't have wanted the public to see them. Or, Mr. Shaw is waiting till they fetch him a hefty price. I love Sir Shaw's movies, but if any of these rumors are true, I'll kill him.

  • I do believe it's true that Bruce may have done some test footage "just to see" how they would turn out and Shaw studios have them. I don't believe by any means we've seen all footage of Bruce Lee.

  • That's a nice thought. Hopefully there is still some footage. If there is any, and news leaks out, there will be an uproar. By the way, if you've seen the latest interview with Shannon Lee on Muscle magazine (or something similar), she says that her family still owns alot of unreleased footage and pics of Bruce.

  • wich movie documentary is this??

i have to have see it

  • IT WOULD HAVE BEEN FUCKING SICK!

  • oh man just imagine how much further he could have progressed. but its funny how no one can step up to the same level of skills that he could do. but wow i cant imagine how far he could have went.

  • which film was this from, is it available?

  • well due to the passing of bruce, he will never be seen in these fims at it was said in the video clip, which means that that the film will never appear.

  • actually the old Blind Swordsman is an old , OLD Japanese story. Like a1000 old story.Maybe not that old .But older than Mr.Lee.And it has already been made .over & over .Books Stageplays ,Movies.

  • Wasn't a film but some test shots he did at Shaw Brothers studio one day he just popped in for a visit. There are picture of him posing with a lot of the Shaw brothers actors from that day including Lo Leigh.

  • For some reason I can't picture bruce lee playing the blind swordsman.

  • why?

  • Why not .He never look directly at an opponent anyway .He would ,as should we all, concentrate on the center mass of an opponent w/o concentrating on anything in paticular.watch him in a movie Add in a litlle choreography,a story line and walling eyes and there you have it.

  • IDK about that, Bruce lee always Looked directly at his oppenents, isn't it obvious??, u haven't been watching his interviews and movies

  • hahahaah!

  • May I ask where this came from?It sounds like a documentary. Is it available online or on dvd? Thank you :-).

    Dara

  • sounds like Pink Floyd in the background.

    nice vid

  • def pink floyd dark side of the moon album on the run song

  • @stefanoboxing thats nothing in the 80s re realeas of big boss the songs time and Obscurity of clouds or what ever the name of that cloud one is on that movie.

  • Every style is limited. If you be like water, you must teach every styles, and to adapt anyone oponent, and as combat on stand on your legs, too on the ground. But,for example in shotokan karate, man have black belt but he don't know combat on ground. And he is not 100% sure.Maby he be knock down but he dont know what to do.He doesnt feel that movements, that balance, that combat!Too,master for combat on the ground doesnt tricks for combat stand on legs, good blocks etc.Bruce knew it.

  • Not only karate,it be valid too in Western boxing, many kung fu styles,Mau Thay, wrestling,ju jutsu and other different styles.Every style is limited.

  • Look charismo which had this man! It is impossible!

He shines, keep attention om himself. You must watch what he next to do...You can teach spike of body by him.But that isn't suddenly. His internal certainty is consequence his consciously, that he had not real competition. He deep understood for a short time( that was his intelligence), every styles in M.arts, theirs defects and advantages, but every martial artist was master inside only one style. He was wish for challenge, not fear by him.

  • This video was just GREAT! Thank you for sharing this to us, LucasPicturesUK! :D

  • Best fighter in history

  • Comment removed

  • i reckon these were taken after the making of Fist of fury.he might have make these for Ghengis Khan,Wong fei hong, the water margins etc...

  • Its not bruce lee ...just kidding.

I thought I'd seen all the photos from this, but I've never seen the last ones. Bruce Lee's physic looks so different in these photo compared to Enter the Dragon, no as cut but carrying alot more muscle mass.

  • oh GREAT :D 5 stars! But those last pics in the end did scare me a little bit xD

  • 5 stars!

  • i wonder what style bruce lee "would" have used if he did a costume drama. he always believed in realism

  • He would of made up his own style

  • I would of died of pure joy just watching more of his movies if he ever lived to make them...

  • @LucasPicturesUK and it would've been a combination of all styles before him.

  • @SHP8 , I think he would have used his version of Choy-Lay-Fut White Crane! He always used that when he did interviews, and was trying to explain Chinese gung-fu to the American 1960s' public. Whatever he did,...would love to see 'ANY' clips of that movie :)

  • i'm amazed & these pics r so cool

  • Thanks for your comment. Peace :]
