  • Your video is good. You are very watchable but my my my my ... for heaven's sake, stop with the MYs. The word is THE. Say the tubing, the connector, the spigot, the tubing, ... etc. You only need to use those possessive words when you are distinguishing between yours and someone else's possessions. A little bit of the "my" stuff sounds friendly but overuse sounds ... well, annoying. As annoying as reading this comment... get it?

  • nice ad!!! it amazing how your containers were set up to take so many different drip heads! is there a product you didn't plug in the ad? you could have run a simple gravity drip system and used fertilizer granuls on the soil that last for weeks at a fraction of the cost! also it's Herb not erb.

  • I GIVE YOU GREEN THUMBS UP!!!..........

  • Hey gardengirl!Gave me some good ideas for drip irrigatin, thanks

    o

  • This is great! I have a patio that gets blasted by the sun and I was looking for some solutions to keeping everything from drying out. This looks pretty easy to do. I'm looking forward to getting it going for some vegetables this summer. Thanks for posting!

  • Don't forget to install a check valve (anti-reverse-flow vale) when using fertiliser injection. It could be unpleasant if the ferts were sucked back into the main household water system, as can happen in certain circumstances. It's a legal requirement in some places.

  • Your video production is awesome!

  • is that spagetti tubing? you might wanna have extra cuz i heard that spagetti tubes dont work too well. they get leaks easily and stuff. but the people who say that dont have patio gardens so it might work really well 4 you. anyway good luck!

  • You might think about editing the intro. Too long and unrelated visuals. Would also love to have that extra time to see the individual irrigation spigots at they are discussed and not just at the end. Thanks!

  • This is really cool stuff, I've always wondered if there was a way that we could grow our own food is a fairly easy manner. You've got great ideas! Great recording!! Thanks!

  • another good one Patti. im learning so much from the vids

  • Great job and the host is nice too:). But somebody put some info where to get all this stuff

  • This information is GOLDEN. With the rising cost of living, this video explains how to save money in the grocery department for people that have limited space for gardening/growing their own food. Wonderful job Patti.

  • Good video ,somethings left unknown would have been nice . Pressure restrictions ,siphon back into source possible ??

  • Where did you get the timer, valves and the miracle punch from>>

  • I have slow DSL and the frequent pauses in your video makes it almost unbearable for me to watch.

I do like and appreciate your videos. May I suggest that you research tuning your videos for a slower internet? I doubt your quality would be degraded that much and you would gain a much larger following.

    Charles

  • just let the video fully upload before you start to watch. no need to start and stop.

    great video by the way

  • Excellent vid. 5 stars

  • i have set up many container irrigation systems, but i don't add the fertilizer manifold because the organic, home-made fertilizers i use have too many impurities and always clog them up.

  • Great information and advice, thank you!

  • Great video Patti

    Five Stars!!

  • Patti, your information was right-on. I have used a system like that on my patio for several years

  • Thanks for the invite.

Unlike a few of your smart-Alec viewers(growing pot indeed, don't they know there's an inhumane, stupid war on?), I'm a healthy eater. But, I am so far into faux-civilization my ears glaze over when anyone actually tries to explain the process. IOW, I just want to buy what you trickle-down.

There are a lot more like me. I even know enough to know that our brief flirtation with the Industrial Age is about to come to a very sticky end.

    Good luck! We'll need it.

  • Growing your own non-genetically modified foods with unfluoridated federalized water? Creating your own regenerative seeds? This is total ANARCHY! How could a nice Lady like you do such a despicable thing to monsanto? This is just an awful thing to do against the nwo! Give me some tomatoes and i won't tell!

  • I ask the same as LetArts... and also... may I borrow some tools? haha.

  • awasome :)

  • Excellent instructional how-to video, thanks for the garden tips. Your video reminded me to turn off the water too.

  • Beautifully done!!!

  • cool now i can grow pot

  • Very cool video! How much is that system cost? I love your advice and I did subscribe and add you as a friend. :)

    Bear

    NED for OTs Series 6

    CONFIDENTIAL

    BLOWING BTs AND CLUSTERS

Per the OT III materials, you can run Grades 0-IV on a BT, but it has to be addressed to that BT, and it rolls rather fast – may only take 4 – 5 minutes.

You can Date/Locate clusters and run Inc II, Inc Is.

You can Date/Locate clusters and blow them off, but the auditor who does this has got to be a shark at D/Ling. It's the moment the cluster was formed that you date, not when the cluster hits the individual.

  • Very informational...I have always wanted to install a system like this in my garden.

  • won`t you lose your fertilizer in the filter?

i like the video! i want to run one something like this.

    thanks

  • I am impressed with all the container gardening. I am wondering what soil you use that has worked out and if you mixin special ingredients like vermiculite, etc?

  • great show

  • Nice video, with helpful tips for my own garden.

  • I forgot to say that I really like new music intro!

  • I love how you do everything by yourself. I'm the same. You have a few lavender plants, I have only one but it's really big, it smells amazing especially on big humidity. Thanks for video, I also liked a lot sun stick video, I just always forget to comment...

  • nice stuff. what brand and prices would be nice.

  • Do you make holes on the containers?

how do you know if there is too much water in the container?

  • i like this idea, cuz i forget real easy that i got plants until i actually see them, so for a irresposible person as myself this system can help me a lot to not let my plants die of lack of water

  • Another good one.

  • nice video 5 stars

  • Whoa! Brilliant!

I never thought of injecting fertilizer; which way to the Garden of Eve?

(mental note to self: I'm sorry for that there last comment lord)

Not only beautiful, she is an engineer! Whoa! Vacation & my plants are an issue!

  • What about using rooftop runoff to water your plants and compost tea for fertilizer? Wouldn't that be a bit more sustainable than installing an expensive plug-in system?

  • Patti, is there anything you can't do? You are amazing and I enjoy watching all of your videos. They've given me some good ideas. How about some more recipes>.Thx.

  • Ingenious ! Great information. Who is vendor for the watering system?

  • Wouldn't it just be easier and cheaper to ask your neighbor to water your plants?

  • great video g.g. I like that idea you basically can't see all the tubing and is great if you go away on vacation .

  • you're absolutly beautifull :) but to "Save, Water, Time and the Planet." to do that you don't have to use chimical fertilisants and too much water. instead use plants plants that are used to ground at your place.

  • Another super informative video Patti! Thank you!

  • Great job Patti. Do the containers have drainage holes?

  • One bit of important information was left out- make certain you have a backflow prevention valve inline before your system or you run the risk of having fertilizer entering your drinking water!

  • beautiful thing about using organic fertilizer it wouldn't really hurt you if you did.

  • There is an inherent danger in having even organic products introduced into a water system that is used for human consumption- everything from contaminants from fish emulsions-think mercury and anitbiotics- to harmful bacteria found in manure-based products that have not been composted properly.

  • true mate

  • I recommended installing a few elevated rain barrels in your drip irrigation system in order to eliminate chlorine. Even if you don't have a gutter system, letting your water stay in the barrels for a while will significantly reduce the chlorine content. The microorganisms in the soil will thrive. Use the simple valves designed for 4x the normal output. I'll have to look into the easy flow fertilizer system. It might work quite well with a compost tea bag provided the filtration is fine enough.

  • good video

  • Thanks for a great video Patti. You have inspired me with so many different ideas that I have been looking for in doing my own landscaping.

  • Wonderful, Patti! I need to invest in one of these systems next year.

  • Thats so cool but where do you get all the supplies you used?

  • My goodness your videos are so inspiring. Everyone that I have watched inspires me to want to go another step in my gardening. Right now Im in the works of getting my materials for my square foot gardening.

    THANKS SO MUCH PATTI

  • Patti always makes everything look easy and enjoyable. She's got some skills, that's for sure. Excellent video. :)

  • Thanks Patti! I can't wait to use this system. Well explained and informative video. Just love your video's!

  • Another great video. I hope to implement some for my patio!

  • nice bluesy intro...... :)

  • Very cool system!

  • That's amazing. Personally I enjoy watering my plants by hand, but I definitely see the advantages to this system. Of course I'm too cheap for it also, but it looks fun with all those special tools for it. Thanks for sharing!

  • Patty,

Thats an awesome setup! I just installed mine too a few weeks ago because I will be doing some traveling this summer. I recycled my garden hose as my main line tubing. I still need to add the filter and backflow protector, but the sysystem is working great. I have a video if you want to see it. I love the versatility the whole thing provides.

    Happy Gardening!

  • very cool

  • If you don't have the energy/money for such a system, there's always the self watering containers found on Mother Earth News website. It's easy and made from 2 recycled five gallon buckets. Works great!

  • Mother Earth News is fantastic. I used to have a monster collection of their magazines and was subscribed for almost a decade. I learned so much from them. :)

  • Sounds expensive to install. Assuming the mfr set you up for free to promote their product?

  • Retails around $250.00

  • your amazing ....my new best friend

  • great

  • hot and smart! I like it!

  • I know, the garden girl is pretty cool!
