  • This is the same thing as the "tinikling" in philippines, take a look at it, i think it resembles quite a lot...the rhythm is not the same though ^_^

  • Yeah--first thing I noticed. The Tinikling's harder, I think (only because I had to choreograph one and it was hell to try and teach it).

  • this reminds me of native american culture. the clothes, the music, and the dancing.

  • wow.really?

  • this reminds me almost of native americans. Like the music and custom.

  • very common among southeast asian folk dances are these "bamboo dances". Malayia have this beautiful Sabahan dances (Mangu Natip and Anggalang); Brunei have the Alai Sekap; Vietnam have the Mua Sua; the Philippines have the world famous Tinikling, the Singkil, the Talgki and the Subanen Khinlesung.

  • dont forget. india (mizo people), china (miao people) thailand, cambodia, taiwan also do similar dances.

  • Of course. I wonder whether there are similar bamboo dances outside of ASia.

  • Yeah, I think I've seen similar dances in Saudi Arabia.

  • yay! another mogunatip clip!
