王力宏made a movie when he made that song and he leads sort of a "Hannah Montana" life where he goes from a popstar to a college student to try to find a girl who moved his heart with her 二胡 music. So he finds her and yeah they fall in love but than he has to leave and this is where that song comes in.....and actually it was written by her at first just as a poem and he just adds music but its a really good movie.....can't remember the name.....ahhhh it'll come to me and i recommend it

I found many of his songs express a great deal of emotions even though I can hardly make out any of the lyrics when he sings. Actually, the part about the butterfly and stars is just a poem in the movie 恋爱通告 (Love in Disguise) that Leehom acted in. The female lead wrote it for another guy and the guy doesn't appreciate it so Leehom sang it out for her. You should watch it ;D

In fact, the Taiwanese accent is very close to the Southern Fujian accent since in both regions Hokkien (aka Minnan/Taiwanese) is the major Chinese dialect and it has a big influence on people's way of speaking Mandarin.
