Hey people who hate or have hated on Paul! (Because people don't hate on him as much as before) STOP bashing him. Because for one, it is called Queen PLUS Paul Rodgers so therefore he didn't replace Freddie. And besides Paul barely sings any of Freddie's songs, he is mostly singing Brian's or Rodger's songs. So leave him alone and let what's left of Queen keep rocking!!!

i was very surprised how many people picked Paul singing these songs over Freddie singing them , we put the two singers together and have the same song played each time but ,with Paul singing then Freddie singing , we did this for 6 months and a little over 4 thousand people listened to them ! in our two shops in New York and 97% picked Paul Rodgers over Freddie , the people was not told who was singing till the end , we told them they was cover singers for Queen .
It's so obvious why Paul Rogers was chosen to compliment the band! Listen to the raspiness of his voice when he really booms it out, very similer to Mercury's. I personally prefare Freddie's voice but Paul was a great singer to take over the lead vocals. Anyone else thinks they can do better, please stand up.
I think Paul is a powerful singer and a pretty good replacement. The thing about Freddie is, being gay he was in touch with his feminine side and ironically it gave him a grace that Paul can't equal. He just comes across as being a bit naff. But a damn good naff singer. I'd go and see them.

We can never bring Freddie back to life literally.. His voice is definately iconic and simply one of a kind. Just like Ozzy, Steve Perry, Dio. Michael Jackson, Sammy Davis Jr.. Freddy Mercury obviously was one of the best ever,but even he had his off nights.
Under the circumstances Paul was a really good choice to let the band come back and tour. Gotta respect him for the time and effort it must have taken to learn all the difficult queen stuff and then go perform it. :)

freddie was an amazing man did more for music than any person i know, but he wasn't the only member of queen. they have a right to continue and use queen a their identity as well. freddie would have wished for queen to continue as he lived for music and as this was his life. no one will every replace freddie but to tribute the band to his memory is a right and just thing to do. he created music till his last days and wanted it to be left for his fans to hear for many years to come.

You haters need to move on. Paul is not trying to replace Freddy. He's putting his spin on some really good music. He has a great voice and fits in well with the others. Paul Rogers is doing a really fantastic job of singing with queen.
Freddy Mercury obviously was one of the best ever,but even he had his off nights.
Under the circumstances Paul was a really good choice to let the band come back and tour. Gotta respect him for the time and effort it must have taken to learn all the difficult queen stuff and then go perform it. :)

Paul is really the only one who could make this possible (Queen touring...and pleasing millions of people)...Freddie is the best singer ever, but Paul never tries to imitate. He does his own thing. His nickname is "the voice" for a reason...I mean seriously, who else could hit notes like that...

the point is both freddie AND paul are great singers in their own right. either one is/was the best in his musical outfit. paul can't replace freddie (that was never the plan) but freddie could also not replace paul in free or bad company. freddie had more brilliance and glamour in his voice and paul is more the down to earth rock singer with lots of soul and blues in his voice. fuck, these guys just wanted to have some fun together! accept it!

freddie was an amazing man did more for music than any person i know, but he wasn't the only member of queen. they have a right to continue and use queen a their identity as well. freddie would have wished for queen to continue as he lived for music and as this was his life. no one will every replace freddie but to tribute the band to his memory is a right and just thing to do. he created music till his last days and wanted it to be left for his fans to hear for many years to come.

Well...... Maybe the band should've died when Freddie did, because no matter what singer they choose, it'll always suck, at least according to me. I get the same feeling with GN'R new Chinese Democracy even though Axl is singing I'm SO dissapointed. You should always quit on top of you career.
