  • once they make green and blue torches ppl will make full-out computers with color screens

  • Minor nit-pick: this is not a GPU. A graphics processing (that's the key word) unit has shaders, can do transforms, alter lighting, etc. for frames stored in a frame buffer. While your display is impressive, it's processing anything.

  • I'm sue this is super complicated or whatever, but i don't see the point.

  • @peterc1 This is why I love Minecraft. Out of interest did you ever accidentally destroy a piece of redstone and have to hunt around for it? Also, how did you learn to build this? I think I'm redstone savvy but I don't understand how computers are made.

  • @TheRealBibwitHarte yea i have, can be annoying lol. I didn't really learn this, this was always innate in me. How I see things is that you can take something from one piece and combine it with another thing to perform a different but desired operation, sort of like programming or hobby electronic hackers.

  • I'm not for sure but i know of a mod called insta-wire that takes the delay away from repeaters that your only using to extend you red stone signal. And i believe this would speed up your redstone computer a lot.

  • @truegamer888 oh and just out of curiosity, what's the specs on your actual computer? It handled all that redstone lag free.

  • @truegamer888 i7(2ghz) 6gb ram at 1333mhz solid state drive (that's all you really need to know)

  • @peterc1 hmm good to know, i'm thinking of uprading from 4g's of RAM

  • mind if I steal the motherboard idea?

  • @peterc1 i cant delete the pixel, what should i do?

  • this is fucking ridiculous

  • Well you should get way more views. AT least I can't say how awesome this is.

People just have to see it. Keep it up !

  • Mind = blown

  • I love how you call it a hard drive lol :D

  • Fake and gay! You have a dwarf removing blocks and and putting new blocks there!

  • @MyntHead Yup. He has a bigger computer somewhere which programs the dwarves to remove, replace and add blocks.

  • How can you select blocks from so far away? (You can see it clearly at 2:50 by looking at his cross hair on the white blocks)..

  • @Azza1070 it's the lag from the machine, the signal has to travel to many forms of repeaters that shift their position so it goes like left up then right right up and so on.

It has to go through so much that you can call it lag or delay.

  • @Azza1070 ahh, it's single player command and the command is reach. It allows you to place/destroy blocks from really far away. You can also access button.levers and doors with it as well.

Very useful when you are dealing with something this big and not enough room to fit your character in certain places.

  • @peterc1 Thank YOU! A smart comment from a smart man.

  • Comment removed

  • @peterc1 Nvm I removed the comment.

  • @Azza1070 No need to be a douche here.

  • @Xzynorqui I just realised the one who left the comment I didn't want was from the owner of the video, and the one who left the comment I did want was also the owner of the video, my bad..lol

  • @Azza1070 woah chill out

  • @Azza1070 Mate, you are a cunt. No reason to be so rude to the author of the video for answering your question. Don't patronise him for mis-interpreting your poorly worded question.

  • @Azza1070 How about YOU look at WHO was responding to your comments? It's the uploader, Peter, so you'd be asking "How did YOU..." not "he." Don't be so damn disrespectful and rude, asshole.

  • @Brutalacerate I already explained I was being a dick and didn't know it was the owner of the video responding but just some random kid, you're like the fifth person to have said that now. Thanks for the uplifting comment. Good thing to know the owner of Herocraft is looking at my comments.

  • @peterc1 He meant at 2:50 you can see the block being outlined by your crosshairs

  • @Azza1070 its single player commands

  • @Azza1070 its a mod

  • @Azza1070 Try using Single Player Commands and do //setreach 200 <I think that is it :P

  • For those asking, yes space invaders is complete and working, with a point counter and moving mobs with graphics for shooting animations for both you and the aliens shooting you without problems but I am not ready to release it because it's so slow!

  • @peterc1 mine isn't slow :D

  • @peterc1 Try vertical redstone mod. It may help.

  • @peterc1 oh wow i really hope to see more soon :D i cant wair to see Space Invaders played in minecraft... holy crap that sounds so wierd and so awesome at the same time :D xD

  • Peter! You're ridiculous with the Redstone, man! Haha. Get with me in game, I need your help setting some stuff up with a house I need to build. Haha.

    Herocraft, WOO!

  • WE HAVE TO GO DEEPER

  • I'll just cry myself to sleep now T_T

  • for some reason i run super fast in your save file idk why i have no mod for it lol

  • u are a genius u really should work for intel !

  • You just took a shit on everyone's BEST projects in Minecraft.. Lmao

  • 5:13

  • props to u man this is crazy amazing,id never be able to do anything like this, keep building bro

  • so a space invader will just be one pixel though?

  • @ham236 The computer can handle a larger screen... He'll probably do that to increase the resolution.

  • i really need to do something with my life .... and soon..

  • if you run a game on this im gonna subskribe and like every vido you put out this is fucking amazing

  • This is so amazing !

How did you learn all this ?

  • i don't know what to think of this.

looking from one side this is fucking amazing, from the other its completly pointless and a huge waste of talent and time.

minecraft is such a crappy game, but the people playing it are so amazing it makes the game actually look awesome.

  • i made some wooden planks once

  • This combined with the HACK III = Amazing. You two should SO collaborate, he has a powerful computer, you have a GPU and (soon you will) a sound card.

  • just putting this here for those viewing this, the sound card that is going to go with this GPU is almost done and it's going to be attached to the largest ram device on Minecraft.

  • so is this is a computer in whole?

  • @NoahPrine The framework basically.

  • now do it with colors :)

  • @XtCeZzz With all due respect. Shut the fuck up

  • how many hours did this take?

  • @Hooahrtr 2 days of testing since many of the parts I needed did not exist in previous builds from other people like a vertical counter or compact memory/bus, I had to build most of what you saw myself beside harddrive and the horizontal x-axis counter. (once one row was built, I used MCedit to copy and paste the design.)

2 days of wiring and debug what was wrong with the build.

    Around 20 hours.

  • @peterc1

I made a pixel art Magikarp in 20 hours once.

  • You know I once built a tower out of dirt...

  • crazy!

  • ONE DAY COMPUTERS WILL BE THE SIZE OF HALF A ROOM.

  • I built a square house once...

  • what texture pack you use? great vid btw = )

  • People who can do this shit deserve honorary degrees in computer science and programming.

  • i tend to shit on minecraft redstone stuff but this aint nothing to scoff at

  • I feel so dumb after watching this.

  • I do enjoy (most) of your feedback. Comments from forums are what gives me ideas to implement what people would like to see and what I might had missed.

  • MAKE GIANT MINECRAFT COMPUTER

    IT HAS A 50 BIT RAM :P

  • @sgt0pimienta 512 bits of ram in this actually.

  • @peterc1

oh,yeah,i just said it,but now that i made the calculations its right...wait a second...thats not the ram thats the hard drive...bwhahahaha!

the ram actually is like 50 bits :P

  • @sgt0pimienta well yes but those will be the ram when I put everything together, they will hold the data untill they are requested by the gpu once selected from the real HD. You will see :)

  • @peterc1

you mean you are going to be able to load the WHOLE picture in literally one second?

    AWESOME.

  • @sgt0pimienta Yea i guess :), Since this will run a small animated video using each picture as a frame, what those harddrive will do is store the data and wait for it to be called then it turns on for a second so it can load it onto the display and then and the data will be erased so it can store the second picture that is going to be stored, alternating between the first HD and second HD to give that speed. It's like a small buffer.

  • @peterc1

well,if you manage to make it load a frame per second you will have created the fastes minecraft moving image!

    looking forward to it :D

  • @peterc1

    I saw your other vid!

    good job!

but i think that you either confused hard drive with Ram or i don't know what Ram really is,anywa,it was quite nice ;)

  • @sgt0pimienta nah there is nothing wrong, it's just that since we are in minecraft harddrive and ram can be interchanged. The simpliest explanation is that Ram is short term and HD is long term, with the difference in speed and size.

In minecraft the speed between them is so miniscule we can really skip the ram and retrieve data right from the HD or write to the HD either way we just need a way to write and retrieve data, what I am using ram in this case is to stack the data with ram as a buffer

  • @clickwir what it can do is not the interesting part. :)

  • @clickwir There is a video on what it can do, it should be in the description.

  • @clickwir Pro tip, some people (including myself) like knowing how it does what it does.

  • mother of mercy...

  • any plans on using instant wire for the buses?

  • @MrAdnan252 I don't It would work well since of the space, the goal I worked around was to be highly compact, the instant wire on the bus, it might slow things down for me since i would have to make everything bigger to accommodate them.

But for the control bits and control input, I will be replacing them with instant wire.

  • onlyusemeblade?

  • this needs more views!

  • my god. Not getting laid has never been so beautiful.

  • TETRIS :O

  • A COMPUTER made IN MINECRAFT! That's amazing. That's really just amazing.

  • wtf is happening

  • You should definitely do this with the instant redstone circuit design instead of repeaters, it would be amazingly faster and awesome

  • Now replace all the repeaters you used with instant repeaters and I will be happy.

  • Definition of Epic = This

  • Well done!

  • Well,

I'm going to go take a cold shower and contemplate how meaningless my life is.

  • @TherealJSB23 For a second there I thought you said "gold shower"

  • @TherealJSB23

    i got that feeling a week ago...it hassn't stopped

  • *slow clap*

  • WOW! thats epic xD

  • WOW why is this not the most popular minecraft video there is? This truly represents that there are NO limits with minecraft...except the height limit lol

  • @jesh186 Of course there are limits, it's too damn slow. It'd be more efficient if you could make redstone blocks which act like memory to save functions to, or just simply function blocks instead of and/or/nots entirely to save space. I would like to see this guy try to make a game out of it.. and I mean an actual game, not pre-compiled actions to the display. I don't doubt whether it's possible to make, but it's impossible to make it efficiently.

  • @jesh186 If this game played more like an MMO, there could be insane technology races with epic battles. OMG I'd love that.

  • @jesh186 And Bedrock.

  • Awesome :D

  • This is amazing!
