Not as a musician. He only knew rudimentary chords on guitar and piano. Not as a wrter. He onlt wrote just over 27 songs by himself in his entire career. The Beatles music is now taught in University at degree level.

@TheQouz i like hard rock and glam metal , bands like poison, guns n roses, twisted sister,skid row and of course the michael jackson hard rock songs like beat it, black or white, give in to me, morphine, state of shock, come together, etc
if you like the traditional rock and roll, it is okay and the beatles are a great rock and roll band, the kings of rock and roll

I have no idea why everyone is comparing MJ and The Beatles to one another, the beatles are amazing, although I'm not a fan of them, I really enjoy their music. But come on, Michael was more talented, that man was GIFTED. He could sing and dance like no other. Michael wasn't trying to do a better job of this song, he loved The Beatles, he said he loves all good music. So stop bashing on him, and enjoy his version song. If you don't like it, go listen to The Beatles, simple.

I aggree with you. I do not see the comparison unless you want to say that michael jackson was such a GREAT business man he owned all of the Beatles catalog which caused Mccartney to hate him. I wouldnt be suprised if he wanted Michael DEAd. also Michael Bought back Lil richards catalog which Sony stole and GAVE it back to him. MJ was a bad MF and he was an inventor he had patents, he could draw beautiful artwork, poet, dancer, he was an artist. NO comparison

@EmmaLaurenHigginson Michael was indeed very talented, but if he was in fact more talented than Paul (who in my opinion was the most talented of them four, what couldn't the man do musically?) I'm not sure of... The Beatles created the base of modern music, and worked with so many different genres. (I'm not saying Michael didn't influnce the world. I'm not a fan, but I respect him as an artist.)

@EmmaLaurenHigginson i agree. but to say that he was more talented is a lie. he could dance. that's the only thing he did better than the beatles. he could sing just as good but it's what he did with it. John's voice has made me cry, laugh, sent shivers down my spine and made me completely oblivious to my surroundings as he sent me down a river with tangerine tree's and marmalade skies. i think michael could do it but i have yet to hear a song that give's me true emotion.

@EmmaLaurenHigginson i don't agree that MJ was more talented. True, he was gifted, but could he play an instrument AND sing? No, he could not. In fairness, it was luck that he could sing as he could. All of the beatles could play their instruments fantastical and sing reasonably well. The Beatles had to practice, it was not luck. They were more talented.

@supermegaturret he could play instruments....piano and drums to name just 2, and im sure there were plenty more. His style of music did not require him to play instruments.....so using instruments to show the beatles were more talented is very flawed...

Not as a musician. He only knew rudimentary chords on guitar and piano. Not as a wrter. He onlt wrote just over 27 songs by himself in his entire career. The Beatles music is now taught in University at degree level.
But he was a better dancer.
I just don't like this drum machine, synth based sugary pop version of the classic blues/rock Beatles hit.

MJ took this song and made it his own. I loved the Beatles. They were my favorite when I was growing up. John Lennon was my favorite Beatle. Michael and the Beatles are just 2 different things. I loved them both. Not one of the Beatles had the hot moves of MJ. MJ turns me on. Wow. Hot babe!
