res so does work in pve... but just the -crit chance, not the other stuff, so it's extremely inferior to defense when it comes to avoidance in general... if you don't believe me just google it... x)

this tanking is absolutely possible. He probably wears the PVP gear for the stamina boost and sockets everything stamina. Soul link provides 25% damage aborption along with the glyph another 5% include the void walker for another 10% giving total 40% mitigation include demon armor plus cloth is another 30%. Total mitigation about 60% with demon armor heals get a buff of 26% and the locky is possible to have 40K hitpoints. The problem is taunting holding aggro.

lol you dont need meta to tank warlocks were always able to tank because they always had soulink void walker and searing pain thats all you need i been tanking on my demon lock since the end of BC intil now and still doing it

Amazing vid! everyone that clames that this is fake or on a private server obviously hasn't played as a demonology warlock. this is totally possible with the right gear, sockets and specc:) Acctually I've tanked some HC:s with my demolock when the "real" tank left^^

Talent spec is 0/51/20

Cloak, rings, necklace and trinkets have armor on them, everything else is PvP gear, the goal is to stack stamina and armor stacked as high as possible. You get very high mitigation just from the Demonology talents, and for Destruction you will want anything that benefits Searing Pain. On AoE pulls, Seed of Corruption works wonders for threat when used on multiple targets.

I wouldn't be surprised if they made Warlocks the next tanking class in a future patch XD

@spandexninja Searing Pain generates a LOT of threat (one of the many reasons I stopped using it....). Also, in Meta, you get an AoE taunt (Challenging Howl) and an AoE DoT (Immolation Aura). Keep those up whenever you can and spam Searing Pain and you'll hold aggro. And as long as you have a good feel for your Lock, good armor, and an amazing healer, this is totally possible! :D And it looks so fun!

plus they miss a spell that does high threat. So they cry cause no matter what the devs do to the warlocks, we can always do things that others cant. I guess our dmg output is a little lower than mages cause we are hubrids after all. We can tank

Some people are ironically applauding you saying about your HP stacking or the overheals you take cause they simply cry cause their mage doesnt have soul link or molten skin or the otther talents that grant survivability SO they cant tank even with that HP stacking and these overheals ;) I guess 25% soul link and 6% molten skin is kinda significant when anub hits for 25-30k, isnt it? tears of joy reading these comments of jealousy.

@vazelos871 Actually, Anub doesn't hit close to that amount and even on a target like the lock in this video, with the healing bonuses and damage reduction they receive, it's not quite as difficult as it seems at first (He's hitting for 17k'ish on the lock when not in Meta). It's an amazing feat, yes, but only at first glance.

@vazelos871 LOL reg anub does not hit for 25-30k. reg LK hardly hits that hard let alone fucking reg anub. The hardest hit is more like 10-15. Also yes he got spammed healed you can see that by pitbull addons. They over gear the content and can spam heals into the lock and never go oom. Now saying that doesn't mean this isn't impressive still a great vid you always see crazy stuff like this in the end of a expansion.
