and embarassing to JROTC?? lol get real you spelling embarassing wrong is degrading enough. and yea we did use 'that' @ comps. We beaseted and placed. Now like the caption said we a whole lot better now.
Your using an M-1 Garand Glenndale Replica from the parade store website like a lot of JROTC programs use, they feel that heavy but thats only because you've never held another rifle type before I assume. I've used one before, they weigh the same thing as our 1903A3 Springfields
They weigh 9 lbs.
Most people usually don't believe people who tell them this, but its true. Weigh it, or go to the New Guard American site, they have the weights and lengths of every drill rifle used by JROTC programs.
we have two sets of rifles. We have The 1903A3 Springfields, Which, do wiegh about 9LBS. And we have the M1 Garand rifles which weigh about 14 LBS. Ohh and this guy who is spinning is no where near "beast" status.
You say here: "im just tellin you what i saw on the scale". Then you change your story to this: "i'm goin off what my ASI Told Me." First, you have first-hand knowledge, then it isn't your fault if you are incorrect because you got the info secondhand.
Please come over to the Driller's Consortium. It is a great place for Drillers of all levels to hand out and discuss drill. Everyone learns there and some even teach!
Actually, John, that was jbenz12 that said he saw it on the scale. ROTCkeyz said he was going off what his instructor told him. But you are correct. He should come to the DC. S3xy dud3z c0m3z d3r3.
You are a retard. You're M1's do not weight even 11lbs. Answer me this. The United States Air Force Honor Guard Drill Team uses Demil M1 Garands with bayonets, and there is a video of there rifles being weighed, and it came to be like 10.13lbs. Why the hell would your damn M1 weigh more than the actual Air Force Drill Teams? Because it doesnt. Dipshit.
whoa whoa buddy. No need to be upset. And like i said to the other guy im just tellin you what i saw on the scale. Oh BTW, Not all DEMI. rifles weigh the same.
I'll make you a deal. Send me a clear vid of a M1 Garand rifle weighing 14 lbs with nothing else on the scale and I'll send you a vid of me shaving my head bald.
That's the problem. You are going off what your ASI told you. Here's some advice. Genchi Gen Butsai. "see for your self." MattP (armedforlife) and Doowstados are completely correct. Accept what they say. YOu are making yourself look foolish.
I tried to find something positive to say about your drill, but I couldn't.

I've drilled with an M1 they weight at most 10 lbs. The difference is they're more bulky, not that they weigh more.
