Also if your rich and a noob you wont care for your paintball gun as much, you wont be skilled at all because you don't practice, and paintball wont matter as much to you. And even though i know you were exaggerating, the experienced player with a paintball pistol could beat the noob with the Ego. So suck that.
I hope that paintball doesn't become a huge sport like baseball or football. The fields will just be flooded with prick kids who "wanna go pro". The game today is too fueled by money as it is. It seems that the richer you are, the bigger advantage you have. The experienced player with a Tippmann has no fun against the noob with the Ego. Unlike any other sport, you can buy playing ability in paintball, and if the sport grows too much it will be a millionaire's game, and we lose the sport we love.
@Stratocaster05 i agree, paintball in canada is $165.00 for a box of 2000, plus another $15 dollar entry, and sometimes a $5 dollar air charge, that comes to around $185.00 for a full day at the field, and if your a beginner player and the refs put u up against players that have been playing for 10+ years, its a real dissapointment, and i agree with "invertmini31" with that league or age thing would be a great idea to keep the sport going without having 12 year old noobs vs professionals.
Oh yeah? And what about the fact that they each carry a case of paint on their backs, and still use the $150 hoppers, $100 masks and $200 tanks that their opponents use? Paintball players are draped in money and use it to their unfair advantage. As for the Axe, think of it in terms of automobiles: A Ford GT will outrun a Porsche Carrera GT that costs three times as much... just because some two-bit company sponsored them doesn't mean they wouldn't use another, more expensive gun if they could.
@mangirl111 technicaly, the axe is an Empire gun, and so is the mini now, Invert got scrapped off... annnnddd... the axe is an astoundingly good marker, as im sure youve seen with infamous rocking it out there =D
@Stratocaster05 not quite, i regulaly play with a classic PMI Trracer and 10 shot tubes, against the younger players with their ego's and DM's.... the gun does help, but it doesnt make the player.
that being said, i totaly see your point, on a level field players of the same experiance level can have crushing advantages based on the funding they poured in
@Stratocaster05 A marker is just a marker, it's all about the man behind the marker, i beat this kid with an Ego using a semi-automatic Stock TL-R, although yes it does provide a small advantage, all you need is 1 paintball to get someone out.
@llSkippyll To some extent, I agree. I use a stock-class phantom every time I play. Its the only marker I use. However, no one at this level is using any gun set-up worth less than $1000, and that's the way the sport is played. It's so unfair and unbalanced. Baseball is still played exclusively with wood bats and football players all have to use the same football because its fair that way. In paintball, you can buy the advantage, no matter how small the advantage is.

@Eldedudu True about the snake thing, but I would have to disagree about the greatest run throughs/plays, he may have won play of the year, but that doesnt necesarily mean its the best, thats just ignorant to say unless youve seen every single play ever made. theres all kinds of great plays, not neccesarily from TT, either. Check out russian legion 3v1 win. thats pretty good...

@Eldedudu and just because someone can play anywhere, doesnt mean there better, they just sacrificed specialization for diversity,which isnt always a good thing, cuz if lang is playing snake against a snake only player, or d against a D only player, hes gonna get wrecked, being able to play many positions is good only because you can fill spots that are lost when your players get out. But seriously, saying no one beats oliver lang is completely wrong, because if that were that case,

Actually, someone who can play well anywhere is generally considered better than someone who really well in only one place/situation. When did I say that noone beats/can beat lang? He's simply the best, doesn't make him invincible.

@Eldedudu and just because someone can play anywhere, doesnt mean there better, they just sacrificed specialization for diversity,which isnt always a good thing, cuz if lang is playing snake against a snake only player, or d against a D only player, hes gonna get wrecked, being able to play many positions is good only because you can fill spots that are lost when your players get out. But seriously, saying no one beats oliver lang is completely wrong, because if that were that case,

@Eldedudu than he would never get out in a tourney. EVER. hes a good player, just IMO he isnt the best, and there can never be a "best" because when a player reaches his peak, someone will progress past that player, and so on, and so forth.

@Eldedudu Well thats your opinion, but in my opinion, Thomas Taylor is better than him. Hes been playing much longer than lang, and everyone has moves like this. And Lang wouldnt be where he is if he wasnt picked up by dynasty, he didnt compare to pros like matty marhsall or thomas taylor or federov or even alex fraige, who was on the same team, and In my opinion he still doesnt. everyone has there own opinion to who is the best, and i believe that there are better players than him. that simple.

He started playing with Dynasty, he wasn't picked up by them. If you're going to be stubborn and blab on about opinions don't waste my time in the first place.

@Eldedudu dude, chill the fuck out, im just stating my opinion, and in my opinion he isnt the fucking best. and i made one typo, shoot me. yes i like snake players, because i play snake, and any baller knows snake is the most important position on the field, lose the snake, youll more than likely lose the gane. jesus christ. ollie is a good player, but in MY opinion he isnt the best. I cannot be any more clear than how clear i am being.

he doesnt make 100k... he got a 1 time 100k deal to come to ironmen that was it. now he plays and works on a dye team with a normal income.
