Do you know if the software allows you to turn off the Autofocus feature.

I have been using the Mac version. Without the ability to control the Autofocus the camera goes in and out of focus at random.

Full HD != Fake 720p mode.

This thing is really worthless for anything except skype. It mounts nicely to the monitor, has autofocus, but any semblance of HD is a straight lie.

I was thinking that it wouldn't work on my iMac, but actually it did. It was such easy... just plugged it in, and then i could use the camera. The software CD is just extra features like effects etc, which only works on xp/vista/7.

@nrkpg91 although it does 1600X1200 at that resolution it captures it at much lower then 25 fps making it very laggy it actually only does 720p (980x720) at smooth fps(25fps)

I just got one of these and I had the older version too. Logitech makes good products and I'm very pleased with it! DO NOT use the disk that comes with iit tho! Go to the website and download the newer version and all will be well. While you're there download as many special effects as you like cause this cam takes them all!

Not recommended if you're using 64-bit XP or Vista. It freezes almost every other time you change resolutions, often freezing right on startup and preventing proper shutdown of Windows. And I'm a computer repair technician, so I know it's not anything that I'm doing wrong (also, I tested it on a fresh install).

Just be aware of the MAJOR flaws in Logitech's 64-bit drivers.

broadcast NTSC is around 59.96, interlaced (each field is half a frame, considting of every other line), so it is closer to 29.97.

Filme is 24, and PAL is 25 frames/50 fields per second.

I think in Japan, the system is exact 60 Hz based, but I'm not sure... it has something to do with color subcarriers and other technical stuff beyond my experience.

What's he talking about?!! I just got the camera on friday, got it to work yesterday, and have been fooling around with it ever since. It's a great camera, but I don't see anything that lets you change it to 1600 x 1200 resolution. The highest mine will go is 960 x 720. Am I missing something here? Please help!

You proably figured it out by now... but Choose the 2megapixel option, then hit the record button. That will give you the 1600 x 1200 resolution.

not that it's impossible to do 30fps 1600x1200 over usb2 but these products are often the cheapest imaginable so it probably doesn't have an MJPEG chip. so what frame rate does it actually do?

Facts:

- The "8" Megapixel are interpolated from a 2 megapixel camera. (check Logitech website)

- Although quite high resolution, 1600*1200 pixels is NOT Full HD. 1920*1080 is.

- Guy is loud and pisses me off.

Who knows, the camera might be good but his lies and way of delivering the faulty information makes it impossible for me to even consider buying this product.
