I guess I'm just too stuck on classic Pete Rock & CL Smooth stuff. This beat is good, but it's a little too generic for CL in my opinion. It just doesn't have the depth of the tracks that I'm used to hearing him flow over. It's good to see CL still in the game, but I'd like to see him work with beatsmiths that and provide a little more texture. Chief XL, 9th Wonder and Ayatollah come readily to mind. It's still and okay song I guess, just nothing special.
