@Brandonduboff oh you're talking about the back fire? All GT3s will do that with a more open exhaust off of throttle. Even in stock mode. The mic isn't all that great and so it overdrives it some too.

As for the handling arguement that is so irrelevant and overused by any idiot that wants to hate american cars. It handles extremely well as far as a 640hp RWD car with no electronic assists is concerned.

Handling is really proportinate to the skill of the Driver. Ive seen a Z06 beat a Lotus Exige around a small windy track because the Zo6 driver knew exactly how to handle his car.

Over the past decade Corvette Racing has had the highest win percentage of any team. Ferrari is just a name now because cars like the ZR1 are a third the price of a Ferrari and it outperforms them. Sure It's a Ferrari and that demands respect in itself but America is now producing amazing cars that give the Europeans a run for their money.
Im english but must say the ZR1 is a great car. Handling left a little to be desired but good enough that it will trash a brand new Audi R8 V10 on a track by over a second....
Corvette is really picking the pace up so that FINALLY - we have an american car that does more than just go in a straight line....
However - build quality is still the big issue - but, at a third of the price as you say - we can't have everything.
The only thing i find amiss in the vette is the interior, everything else is state of the art. When driven properly it is faster than the enzo and even the carrera gt, cars that dwarf the price of the zr1. If america can make a 120k car that impressive i'd love to see a 200k.

@Brandonduboff oh you're talking about the back fire? All GT3s will do that with a more open exhaust off of throttle. Even in stock mode. The mic isn't all that great and so it overdrives it some too.

anyone with half a brain with buy a porsche or a gtr, knowing it that it will "only" have 90% of the zr1's speed but be 10 times better at everything else.
and in the real world people dont give a fuck about a few tenths of a second, they care about how fun a car is to drive. they'll take the sound and precise handling of a ferrari over the sloppy steering and snap oversteer handling of a zr1.
and people who do care about times will tune some random car and own the shit out of the zr1.

As for the handling arguement that is so irrelevant and overused by any idiot that wants to hate american cars. It handles extremely well as far as a 640hp RWD car with no electronic assists is concerned.
Porshces and GTR's need electronic assists just to take a turn at speed.
Handling is really proportinate to the skill of the Driver. Ive seen a Z06 beat a Lotus Exige around a small windy track because the Zo6 driver knew exactly how to handle his car.

Over the past decade Corvette Racing has had the highest win percentage of any team. Ferrari is just a name now because cars like the ZR1 are a third the price of a Ferrari and it outperforms them. Sure It's a Ferrari and that demands respect in itself but America is now producing amazing cars that give the Europeans a run for their money.

Im english but must say the ZR1 is a great car. Handling left a little to be desired but good enough that it will trash a brand new Audi R8 V10 on a track by over a second....
Corvette is really picking the pace up so that FINALLY - we have an american car that does more than just go in a straight line....
However - build quality is still the big issue - but, at a third of the price as you say - we can't have everything.
Bang for Buck - cant beat the vette.

The only thing i find amiss in the vette is the interior, everything else is state of the art. When driven properly it is faster than the enzo and even the carrera gt, cars that dwarf the price of the zr1. If america can make a 120k car that impressive i'd love to see a 200k.

Carbon Fiber an american invention was first used in America and has been used by NASA and the USAF since the late 50's.
The Vette has won more GT1 and GT2 championships over the past decade than any other manufacturer. It's 120k and its built to outperform 300k+ euro cars.

The ZR1 was desinged to destroy ferrari's, porsche's, Aston's etc on race day and it does. It never was desinged to be luxurious like a Veyron. I never said it was the best car in the world but it sure will ruin alot of Ferrari and Porsche trophy cases.

Something is seriously wrong with you if you dont think the ZR1 is a good road car. It does have a magnetic selective suspension, traction control and many other interior amenities porsches dont have.
And the ZR1 can get 16 mpg city 23mpg highway, you find any 600+ HP euro car that can do that.
And as far as every day accesories the ZR1's stereo, nav system are superior to any porsche or ferrari. But you think its not a good road car?

The F-22 Raptor isn't that big of feat of engineering, its just a tennis court sized F-15 minus the the higher thrust to weight ratio than weight. Also, we (yes, I'm an American, who is disagreeing with you, so sue me) didn't actually go to Mars, we used an orbital space probe to slingshot over to Mars and then release a package containing a rover (now broken because it's stuck on a rock and can't dislodge itself.) Also, the F-22 has never faced nearly the type of jets the F-15 has and won, almost every.. single.. time.. and never will..

The F22 was designed to make the F15 better and erase any flaws it had and incorporate state of the art combat technology. The F22's on board supercomputer has more computing power than an entire squadron of F15's. The USAF at Edwards AF Base in Cali tested the F22 against the F15 and it passed in flying colors handling as much as 12 at once.
