the tidal wave in japan wasnt that big, how much damage and lives it claimed may of semed big to everyone but compared to a proper tidal waves that can occur, the japan one was miniscule. they got lucky in that sense. it was probaly a few metres high, a proper wave that can be caused by huge landlsides from massive earthquakes can reach 500-1km high, just pray to god that one of those doesnt hit any coast lines or it will be the greatest disaster in human history.

This man was not a christian, he died and saw hell: I agree it's difficult to understand the punishment, but it has to do with our free will. Hell didn't exist in the old testament. It was only until the meek loving Jesus came, that the fear of Hell and eternal torment came into play. Go read Matthew 15:22-15:26. Basically, Jesus was calling the woman who is seeking his help a dog because she was not a jew. I don't see that as very good behavior, or one that is worthy of a god. Hardly the loving person you talk about.
@Agnes135 Remember that Jesus gave his life for this woman shortly afterwards. That shows his love. Hell existed, it is called the pit, hades or sheol. In the story Jesus talks about in Luke 16 he has not yet died and risen. The poor man is comforted, the rich man is in great pain and suffers and want somebody to warn his relatives, so they won't come to this horrible place. But Jesus says that when they won't listen to Moses and the prophets they won't listen if someone came back from the dead.
But then again. There's no evidence. Christianity just steals idea's from other religions. Look at Christmas, that was a pagan festival but Christianity comes in and takes it as it's own. And on a side note, Moses most likely didn't exist.

@Agnes135 If you are interested in miracles you can find them in churches all over the world, you must go look for yourself. It's not easy to prove miracles through the internet. Mary Baxter, Bill Wiese, Kenneth Hagin and so on.. Why Jesus saved him? well, maybe somebody was praying for him.. John F. Kennedy? Well, people die all the time.. I think this guy was brought back to tell the story, and to lead others to salvation.

As you mention yourself; there are different written sources(4) that tell almost exactly the same story. That's very uniqe when we go this far back in history. There are small differences, as it would be when different persons are telling the story, but nothing magnificent. But didn't you ever learn about the Holy Ghost when you were a christian? What kind of christian church did you go to?
That tell almost the same story? If you read the NT accounts, lay them out side by side, you will find 46 irreconcilable differerences that if one passage is true, another passage must be strictly false. It is important to note that all ancient accounts of Mark's gospel, the oldest have no resurrection story at all. Jesus just dies in it.
Jesus is not unique in history in being resurrected. I don't see how this (if it where true) makes him the son of god.

Their point was to tell the story about Jesus, not to document what happened first and last, that's why there are minor differences. Where did you hear this about the gospel of Mark? Everything can be made right when you give your life to him, no matter how big the sin or how deep the sorrow.. He can live inside us by the Holy Spirit in every person that have been forgiven throug the cross. The price is already paid, you just have to receive.

@Mondosh1 Yes, arguments can be made that the Bible story is very well documented, and often I'm surprised that people think that the darwinism is better proven than the Bible story. If you are really interested in what the truth is you must do your own research. There are no evidence whatsoever for the darwinism, it's only guessing. There are some scripture, I think it's called Hammurabi or something, that has an older dating than the oldest text of the Torah(moses). But the jews had a rich oral tradition, and kept their stories through the generations this way.

Natural disasters are scary. Very scary. You can't fully and 1005 accuratley predict when and where they will strike next (but using top notch scientific equipment, and you can get a pretty damn close idea).
Plus, a lot of people don't fully prepare for such disasters. Maybe that's because these things are so rare and so unpredicatable, people don't take into account that it can happen until it actually happens.
That is why I'm watching vidoes like this and on earthquakes. Of course

the tidal wave in japan wasnt that big, how much damage and lives it claimed may of semed big to everyone but compared to a proper tidal waves that can occur, the japan one was miniscule. they got lucky in that sense. it was probaly a few metres high, a proper wave that can be caused by huge landlsides from massive earthquakes can reach 500-1km high, just pray to god that one of those doesnt hit any coast lines or it will be the greatest disaster in human history.

Hell didn't exist in the old testament. It was only until the meek loving Jesus came, that the fear of Hell and eternal torment came into play. Go read Matthew 15:22-15:26. Basically, Jesus was calling the woman who is seeking his help a dog because she was not a jew. I don't see that as very good behavior, or one that is worthy of a god. Hardly the loving person you talk about.

In the story Jesus talks about in Luke 16 he has not yet died and risen. The poor man is comforted, the rich man is in great pain and suffers and want somebody to warn his relatives, so they won't come to this horrible place. But Jesus says that when they won't listen to Moses and the prophets they won't listen if someone came back from the dead.

As you mention yourself; there are different written sources(4) that tell almost exactly the same story. That's very uniqe when we go this far back in history. There are small differences, as it would be when different persons are telling the story, but nothing magnificent. But didn't you ever learn about the Holy Ghost when you were a christian? What kind of christian church did you go to?

If you read the NT accounts, lay them out side by side, you will find 46 irreconcilable differerences that if one passage is true, another passage must be strictly false. It is important to note that all ancient accounts of Mark's gospel, the oldest have no resurrection story at all. Jesus just dies in it.
Jesus is not unique in history in being resurrected. I don't see how this (if it where true) makes him the son of god.

Their point was to tell the story about Jesus, not to document what happened first and last, that's why there are minor differences. Where did you hear this about the gospel of Mark? Anyway, it can be interesting to investigate how the Bible was formed. But when you start to know Jesus you never doubt if the Bible is the word of God.

@Mondosh1 Jesus is a living person, and one day everybody will know that, but unfortunately that will be too late for so many people. You cannot decide how God proves his existence. He loves us, and shows that through his creation, and he reveals his love by letting his Son die for our sins. I KNOW this is true, but as long as we are in this world, we can only know God in a spiritual way, and through miracles and the Bible. But one day we will see him face to face, and this day is coming soon!

God created us with free will, but we were protected from doing evil until the devil tempted us into eating from the fruit of knowledge between good and evil. He said to Eve that they would become like God if they ate of the tree. This is what people are still believing. They don't see that they need God until it's too late.. Knowledge is good, but it will never save your soul.. No man on this earth will last more than 100 years anyway.

If you are really interested in what the truth is you must do your own research. There are no evidence whatsoever for the darwinism, it's only guessing. The reason I said I'm not interested in "winning" a discussion is that I believe that every one of us must be resposible to God in the end..

@Mondosh1 And I guess you agree that either one of us must be right.. So it's very important to search for the truth before it's too late. The religions aren't predating christianity. There are some scripture, I think it's called Hammurabi or something, that has an older dating than the oldest text of the Torah(moses). But the jews had a rich oral tradition, and kept their stories through the generations this way.

Natural disasters are scary. Very scary. You can't fully and 1005 accuratley predict when and where they will strike next (but using top notch scientific equipment, and you can get a pretty damn close idea).
Plus, a lot of people don't fully prepare for such disasters. Maybe that's because these things are so rare and so unpredicatable, people don't take into account that it can happen until it actually happens.
That is why I'm watching vidoes like this and on earthquakes. Of course
