Berserk is in my opinnion v good but not for everyone. It's very mature, and I don't mean for mature beacuse of gore nad sex (cuz for example Hellsing is same way - very gory, but childish and poorwritten as well). It's because of it monumental plot, monumental, deep characters. Author is Japanese, drawing is japanese style, realm and storytelling is very european, that makes it cool. It could be a fantasy book written by some european fantasy writer as well, Miura knows western canons wery well

Now, the one single thing that pissed me off in the entirety of berserk is partly shown in this video. That badass sword Zod threw to him, the big single edged one he killed the horse and man with in a single swing at the end.. HE LEFT IT BEHIND AFTER THE BATTLE LIKE WTF MAN?!

Badass. As for the manga, I just got done reading the "Falconia" arc. Is it just me, or is Berserk getting a bit...soft. Between Isidoro and Puck, the battles never really have that sense of danger that they used to. And what's up with reborn Griffith, all "White Hawk" and "savior"? Are we supposed to forgot about what he did during the Eclipse? Or is Miura lulling us into a false sense of security before pulling something really tragic?

Actually, the stuff after he gets the armor is what I'm referring to. I do like that Guts is maturing a bit and concerned about more than just pure vengeance. There just seems to be a certain...carnage missing in the volumes leading up to the Fantasia Arc. Although the scope Miura achieves when the Kushan Emperor goes all Cthulhu on Midland's ass is AMAZING.

Indeed, Griffith became some sort of savior to humanity, or at least he make them think so. As for Guts, well he became realy OP with that Berserker armor. Also it looks like the more he kills, the stronger he gets.

This is a badass AMV on every possible level, but there's one thing I'm confused about.

It seems like the Berserk anime is all about warriors fighting each other, and the manga seems to be about Guts fighting demons and monsters.  Is there something I'm missing?

The anime stops right before the part of the manga with a lot of demons and monsters. The anime follows the manga for the first part until Griffith become an hand of god.

After that, the anime stops and the manga goes on with the demons part (Which is probably the best part of the manga)

@elchoaro800 The anime is the Golden Age arc in the manga, which is pretty much one big flashback. Both the anime and manga start at the same spot though, although the manga portrays Guts a lot darker and less heroic. In fact, if the flashback didn't happen, he would have been a villain because you can't sympathize with him until you find out what the hell happened. The anime portrayed about half of the events too...

I agree... somewhat, but the manga, in many places, shows Guts as the hero that he is. Whether it's him fighting off Grunbeld, or saving that village from trolls, he always comes through for the bystanders, even if not quite how he meant to :-)

Anime is about Gutts while he was in "The Band of the Hawk", there are almost no demons in this part.

The anime never continued past the eclipse, so it only covers Griffith's rise to power and Guts becoming the legendary Century Slayer. The manga however is still running and has everything before and after the eclipse. The anime is still worth watching though, especially if you don't know fully know the story, or haven't seen the now famously hilarious outtakes from the english voice actors.

You know many other AMVideos have just random fight sequences(violance) thrown all together, ... sure they still fit the music and carry the power of the song but there is often no connection between the sequences.

It does. It KIND of explains how he got out.. It's a little iffy and earth isn't so messed up. He does get to see grifith but I don't think he's quite yet fought him again yet. Still leading up to it. Simply put the anime covers about vol 1-12? or so and the series is on vol 32 right about now. Could be further along i need to get caught up myself.

They don't air this in the U.S. either... Try looking on the internet. It's were I first heard Rocky Road to Dublin. It was the Dropkick Murphy's version so it was sorta off but it would go perfectly with Berserk. I personally like the Young Dubliner's version of that song better.
