I've seen maybe one episode of this...I wish they still played it on the adult swim rotation so I didn't have to look for it and could just catch it whenever I'm channel flippin...but I love this theme. And I dig the Johnny Quest animation, and the whole premise of the show. It's one of those things that inspires nostalgia and longing without the prerequisite exposure.

I would think Harvey Birdman and Aqua Teen gave Adult Swim the undying fanbase they needed to survive, then with the cancellation and addition of various shows they have the massive following that's seen today. I'm not saying Harvey was their best show because honestly I fucking hated that show, but it appealed to a broad spectrum of people, whereas Tim and Eric Awesome Show appeals to... 10 people.
