Kravitz I miss u everyday you were more than just my cat for 17 years. You added such beauty and pure love to my life. Thank u. You'll be purring on my lap again someday =^•,•^=
The Jayhawks should have been HUGE and not just for this song, excellent as it is. But who wants to listen to The Jayhawks when they can listen to Lady Gaga instead (morons, of course, but that's why the movie ''Idiocracy" is funny...because it's basically true. Anyway, I love The Jayhawks and I love this tune.
Love love LOVE this song. Forgot all about it until I heard it in Adam Carolla's film "The Hammer" (which is a GREAT movie, by the way). Such a beautiful song.
always thought I was someone, turned out I was wrong - OR - it's hard to sing with someone, who won't sing with you . . . does it get any bluer than that?
very well written song. song writing is a sublime and important art. turning on a drum machine and sampling something and saying "one two, ugh ugh" is no substitute for digging deep and coming up with an original melody.
WOW!!!!! What a great song! Hard to believe this is15 years old, it sounds like it could have been released yesterday! Just gotta love the instrumentation, heavy on the accoustical side, and yes the harmony on the vocals is just south of HEAVEN! Thanks langsense for the upload, You Tube for the space, and The Jayhawks for making "Blue" a little more bearable!
havent heard this song in ages till a few days ago and now i must have added 400 views to it....true harmony and grace this song is soooo smooth and sad and depressing but incredible...damm i wish they were still together making classics like this LIKE 100000 times over!!!!!!!
Great song from a great album. Well covered by the Thorns later. Olson and Louris have a Parsons-era Flying Burrito/Byrds thing going on in there somewhere.
totally make me blackout....

Great song, terrible video. I wonder if a video that made more sense would have made the song a bigger hit when it came out.

All my life (staying while)
I'm waiting for (staying while)
Someone i could (waiting around)
Show the door (now that i'm blue)
But nothing seems to change
(that i'm blue from now on)
You come back that month
Gracias, Mark and Gary.

I remember seeing them open for Johnny Cash at the Orpheum in Minneapolis. They did an "unplugged" type set.

@NarisTorquere Yes,Yes. There's a lot to said for organic music with an intelligent lyric. I have their "Best of" CD. Love it!
