She found the major loophole in the mechanics of the game at the time and exploited it. You gotta give her credit for making a move that forced a change in how the game is played because it gave one small group of people WAY too much power.

If they hadn't changed it, all you'd have to do is form an alliance of 6 houseguests from day 1, get HoH first week, use the 6-finger plan, and keep the HoH in your group (with better odds of doing so each week). Final six locked in.

This was, by far, the best season. Nakomis was an excellent player. She used her reigns as HoH wisely. She was definitely the best player. It was sad when Nakomis' plan was used against her to backdoor Karen though. =(

I know, that was weird. Three girls who played amazing games in their original seasons did horribly in All stars, and were all out very early. Everyone else pretty much played an equal game, though.

If you ever watched Seasons 1-3, you'd know that nominees had no chance then either. There was no such thing as a Power of Veto. That doesn't exist on any other Big Brother in the world. Players should have to be smart enough to avoid the block if they want to stay in.

Ugh, you could only backdoor people in BB5. When the veto was first introduced to BB was in the 3rd season. You couldn't use it on yourself though and everyone, not just 6, played. In BB4, the 'Golden Power of Veto' was made where you could take yourself off the block, but still everyone in the house played. In BB5, it was the first time where only 6 people could play, the HOH, the 2 nominees and 3 others that were picked.

Actually, wrong. In Big Brother 3 you were able to use it on yourself if you won it. Remember when Marcellus won the veto and decided NOT to use it on himself and he got evicted? Worst move ever in BB history!

That's because he won a special "Golden Veto" and was only able to use it on himself that week. Every other week you couldn't use it on yourself. Then season 4 they changed it.

Actually, they introduced the Golden Power of Veto at the end of S3 when Marcellus won it. Until that point, you couldn't remove yourself from the block.

@Xanster82 Marcellus had the golden power of veto so he could save himself. In BB3 there was a silver power of veto where the nominee could not save himself but the other person on the block. When it was final 5 BB introduced the diamond golden power of veto where the nominee could this time save himself.
