They never play all the elite teams from the entire conference, a la LSU not even playing Georgia last year. Combine this with what are traditionally easy opening schedules, SEC usually schedules more D-1AA teams than anyone( the big 10 and ACC sometimes the exception). I don't care if LSU has been playing Tulane since 1600, TULANE IS TULANE. VT last year started off MISEARABLY, barely beat ECU.

Better players = better teams = harder schedules. The SEC has the best coaches top to bottom as well.If you are trying to say the Pac-10 is on par with the SEC, you are wrong.

I never said you had to play each team in your conference( although more credibility if you do). I know 11 teams maybe too many. But when you take credit for having so many bowl teams and so many teams ranked, it isn't always justified. The way the conference is set up allows for there to be 8 bowl teams and when you play in a conference with that many bowl teams it makes everyone look good. Schedule 3-4 pasties and win 3-4 games in your conference and your in.
