amazing never seen a bearded dragon do that and ive got a bearded dragon but i dont know what to call my bearded dragon and i had him for a year so what do you think i should call him?
@ervinnledesma sorry tile is more than adequate for beardies, if it's a slate tile it will work better than any other substrates to work their nails down.
Sand/soil or a mixture makes a good egg-laying medium.
Woodchips and calcium sand are advised AGAINST, silicone-free play sand is the best sand to use and looks naturalistic.

is it highly recomended to put sand in her cage because it is hard to clean sand can i just put tile or somthin?ot they need sand to lay eggs?
ervinnledesma 2 years ago
no tile will make there to nails over grow and get bent toes
u can use lizard carpet wood chips or calcium sand
but for laying eggs u have to use sand or compost or a mix between the two
ychronix 2 years ago
@ychronix What mix ratio would you recommend. I've heard play sand and potting soil, but varied mixes.
