If you started a fresh game save then you shouldn't be able to access stuff like Weapon Select. And if you've already completed the game and did not start a fresh game save, then you won't get the Trophy anyway.

this is done much easier on the boat in the first chapter. hit them with 1 shot by means of run-n-gun, and then punch. way easier on the boat and you dont need to die a bunch of times. just make sure u start the process after the brutal combo "training" or you will have had to do it more times than needed.

First you have to download the trophy patch, then you have to start a New Game, and when it asks you if you want to keep your Rewards you have to select NO.

The Steel Fist Combo is when you fire a close-range shot at an enemy without aiming (just press R1 without pressing L1) and then immediately hit Square and if you do it right it'll be a one-punch kill.

Can you please explain to me why? Did you get a Trophy or did you only get a Medal? There's a difference. After downloading the Trophy patch, you have to start a completely New Game, and when it asks if you want to keep your Rewards you have to select NO. Otherwise you will earn Medals but not Trophies.

You should get Survivor in the area where you first meet the zombies. There are more than 50 of them that just keep coming; I got it without even trying so I assumed it didn't need a video for it. I only posted videos for what I considered the trickier Medals/Trophies to get.

The Gunslinger Combo is a punch, then a shot, then a killing punch. So basically it's the same thing as the Steel Fist except that it has an extra punch at the beginning, which makes it easier because you can center the enemy with the first punch. I hope that helps.

Yes, as it shows in the video, if you do it at this place in Chapter 4 you can die and respawn at this checkpoint to do it over and over again 5 times. You just have to be careful not to accidentally kill someone in a different way. And thanks for the comment :)

Man, this thing worked perfectly, but to add to this formula. It's best to do it on easy mode with the silver handgun (92FS-9mm Semi); do a gun slinger combo (square, R1, square) on about three of the guys if you can, die, and repeat, or simply just do it as demonstrated in the vid. Yeah, that's why this is the easy way to do it, because the game doesn't count dying as an interruption of the 5-in-a-row chain, so it's much easier than finding 5 separate enemies to kill this way consecutively.

Are you sure it's saying that he's got the Trophies and not just the Medals? Because it'll show you in the top right corner that you got a Medal (in-game achievement), and then a few seconds later it'll show you that you got a Trophy (which will be for the same thing as the Medal). That's the only thing I can think of. If you don't download the patch and then start a new game without keeping the Rewards then you'll only get Medals and not Trophies. Anyway, good luck with it.

The only way to get a Medal/Trophy for completing the game on Hard or Crushing is to play thru the entire game on that difficulty setting, from beginning to end without changing the difficulty. The other Medals/Trophies can be gotten using Chapter Select, but you have to play straight thru the entire game to get the ones for beating it.

I heard that if you complete the game on hard you get the charted trophy for easy and normal as well? Is this true? Also, when i complete the game and go continue the game starts again from chapter 1 with the same difficulty - should i jus adjust the option there or will that not count? It sucks that you have to get every medal before you have enough points to get infinate ammo. Cos once youve got all the medals and like completed the game 4 times over, it doesnt matter whether you have infinate ammo, nobody feels like playing it again.

Hahaha. I kinda thought the same thing. Same thing with MGS4, you have to earn all 40 game clear Emblems to unlock the Snake Eater song, but after playing it so many times, I don't want to play it again just to listen to a song in Snake's iPod. And you know if you go to Weapon Select and keep selecting the same weapon over and over, it'll fill up your ammo without the infinite option unlocked.

i know i use that, the problem is after 5 times it gets so repetative: pause,bonus, rewards, weapons, click 5 times, resume. The other problem ofcourse is actually doing it on crushing. Im struggling with normal lol

Yeah, when I first played Crushing and realized you can't use Weapon Select at all, I got a big grin like, dang, they're gonna make me work hard for this one. It's really just a few sections though that really feel overwhelming. Like the one in the aquaduct can be a real pain.

No, but I just used this place as an example because it's where I did it. The main idea is that you want to be able to get close enough to do the Steel Fist Combo on a guy, but also be close enough to a checkpoint to die and start over at the same spot (since you have to do 5 Steel Fist Combos in a row for the Medal). There may be other places, but this one seems easiest to me.

Well since you have to do 5 in a row, if you mess up in Chapter 1 you can't respawn without having to shoot the guys on the boat, which breaks your chain of 5 in a row. This way you can guaruntee that you can get 5 in a row, and in that sense this is easier. Or ... whatever. :)
