  • Every time I see this man play it just blows me away! RIP Steve!

  • Greatest thing on earth since hot water..

  • Is he running an Octavia in the middle of the first solo?

  • 10 No like?!!! WTF!?

  • 3:54 stevie takes a step into the light.

  • For the guitar freaks: At 2:30 , he kicks in his Tychobrahe Octavia pedal !!! :)

  • @dacrowster Haha, sounds awesome! Another pedal he used inspired by Hendrix I believe!

ALSO, PLEASE LISTEN TO THE MUSIC ON MY CHANNEL! IF YOU LIKE SRV, THEN THIS WILL BLOW YOUR MIND!!!

  • @PaperTreeMusic dude nothing can blow mind as hardly as Stevie.

  • Tisket~Taskit baaaby!

  • amazing.only for the SRV on his scratchplate,id swear he and rory shared the same guitar!.

  • Is this Austin City Limits?

  • @Rock1Guitar yes

  • Best version of the guitar's solo of this song

  • my hand aches at the sight of this

  • check out my channel if you like the blues, go to the 1950's and 1960's playlist to find SRV's influences like buddy guy and lightnin hopkins

  • why isn't this 2 billion hits yet?

  • DAMN look at teh HANDZ AT 1:29 :D

  • WHY IS THIS MAN NOT IN THE ROCK n' ROLL HALL OF FAME DAMMIT!?

  • The best, the one and only

  • SRV was special. No doubt about it.

  • SRV was one of a kind, pure genius, long live his memory.

  • OH MEN !! I HEAR THIS AND FOR ME THIS IS BETTER THAN SEX!! LONG LIVE SRV

  • how could anyone not like this that is very disrespectful it must be because he plays his own instrument unlike these so called artist today he could out play 95% of the people today

  • @thor1468 Be kind enough to tell me, who are the 5% he wouldn't have been able to outplay? Those who have the souls of money making machines and play up and down a scale at the speed of light?

  • @Jesrama1 the 5% are the ones still out there touring making good music that are not in the limelight and have been around for years there just not politically correct so they do not get the recognition they deserve.

  • @thor1468 Mate, I don’t know what you intended to say, but what you practically said was this: Stevie would easily outplay today's fake musicians who are 95% of all, but the remaining 5%, aka the real ones, would outplay him. IMHO “real” guitar players don’t play to outplay each other so to rank, list and compare them as though they were free fighting in the cage is absolutely disrespectful. Let’s judge and enjoy each of them by their own merits

  • one of the first songs that inspired me:-)

  • fast

  • i would at least 4 hands and a few thousand years practice to be able to play guitar like that

  • @callicolady lol ill teach yea

  • lawd jesus on a cross

  • Comment removed

  • @DavePinsker Jimmie Vaughan??? How could you even think of comparing them...though a "best of all time" is not possible

  • @Jesrama1 Hendrix ;)

  • @DavePinsker Lol. I know, mate; was just joking

  • LISTEN 2 that folks, that was AFTER he sobered up, coming from down home.....from tightrope... my heart goes out 2 others who r there 2 make amends

  • @stillsouthern3 Surprised?? It's well known he got even better after kicking the booze

  • LISTEN 2 that folks, that was AFTER he sobered up

  • What would he have done with twikle twinkle little star?

  • @cutandweld67 Or Humpty Dumpty

  • Comment removed

  • @cutandweld67 he actually took this version from Buddy Guy (not in a bad way, most of stevies songs were covers or reinterpretations of songs by other artists) but yea all credit to him for the awesomeness but the basis of it comes from buddy

  • Holy fucking Cheeseballs.

  • HAPPY BIRTHDAY STEVIE RAY VAUGHAN!!!!!!!!!!

  • When I have kids, this is the only nursery rhyme they are allowed to hear

  • my fav in this is the way stevie comes roaring in at 2:01 and the run that follows

  • I kinda like to see how he is getting in the mood at 4:45 - 4:46, then gets disturbed by Reese, think a while what he played then goes back to mood again :)

  • He just rode that guitar like a cheap whore. He slapped her around, made her cry. She came back for more...

  • Stevie we'll never forget you

  • you really almost have to practice to not be entranced by this man

  • lost one of the very good ones, enjoyed his music for years, one of the best guitar players, life by the drop, oneof my fav. have never seen a live version of the song, any idea where one could find it

  • THIS IS AWESOME

  • 4:11 woah! Sent a tranquilizing coolness through my spine

  • Thank God for Albert King, or we never would have gotten to hear SRV.

  • Svaka ti cast Stevo! Ostajes besmrtan, bas zbog ovoga... Mada mi nije jasno zasto najbolji uvek odlaze prvi? Dule, Beograd

  • cheezus....Stevie will hit a note and just shake the hell out of it, like its an unruly stepchild.

  • The man & the guitar are one. There will never be another SRV. He is the only musician who dounds better live.

  • It would be hard to be sitting in that crowd and drinking while having a MASSIVE erection......

  • I get the chills watching this guy! Stevie was a phenomenal musician!!

  • Scary, I think i was in the croud that night . Best guitar EVER, NO Question!!!!!!!

  • @mathisond lucky son of a bitch

  • I watch Reese Wynans on the piano and think to myself "wow, he is really good at it. I wonder how SRV will compete with that." Then Stevie Ray Vaughan starts playing and I'm just like "O.O"

  • @SuperGuitarDude perfect compliments of each other. Reese is a very talented man of the keys, good enough to play with Stevie, they never jousted with each other though, they rocked in perfect harmony, add steady drums and the cool basslines, that makes Double Trouble amazing. Did I mention the guitar player's abilities (:?

  • @ryste85 Yeah, This version is made better by the fact that Reese's key work is actually audible. (Unlike a lot of other footage where he is buried in the mix... as a keyboard player and audio engineer myself, I get pissed off when the audio doesn't represent what one is seeing). I have a better version of this very performance that has Reese further up in the mix. I will make it my mission to upload shortly. RIP SRV.

  • Cazzo cazzo cazzo!!!!!!! Da orgasmo, ragazzi!!!

  • i burnt the cake !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • 1:26 me playin wow ^^

  • My ears have been blessed!

  • it's like he played an improvised solo the first time and the actual recording solo (not quite but almost) the second time during the breakdown

    well done

this video is nothing short of ecstasy

  • The audience was probably rock hard during this show

  • my God.... just 6 of the best minutes in my life as a guitar player and as a human.... GODLY!!!!!

  • Jajajajaja yo siempre acostumbrado al tono de SRV osea su forma de cantar tan fuerte y cruda y ahora con ese tono tan bajo realmente dude cuando escuche la cancion pero como siempre el impresionando a todo el mundo

  • @Guitarmanblue you are a right it the best guitar solo.

  • This is the best guitar solo I have ever witnessed \o

  • I love Stevie!

  • I was lucky enough to see Stevie before Texas Flood was released and he was AWESOME then, this is just above even that. I have about many, many versions of this song and during this period, the lead breaks are out of this world. Anyone that plays guitar can see his technique is breath-taking. The sheer strength of his hands is AMAZING. Look at the strings being bent, DAMN!

  • Facial expressions at 4:50 are brilliant! Stevie feels every note

  • Here's my motivation to play guitar

  • @MrSolakinz I know. I have been playing since around 1976 or so. I had laid it down just after Stevie died. Then while in Austin, we bought our son a guitar and amp for Christmas and then I began seeing all of the videos of Stevie on You Tube and it just pump new life into my desire to play again. Stevie is one of the best teachers you will find!

  • TEXAS BLUES MASTER

  • my understanding is he did not make ass much money worth as eric clapton and so many others.

  • 8 people must be angry teachers

  • Only Pros like that break picks at 1:48

  • @N1nj4P3ngu1n thank you for reminding us that steve ray was a pro...

  • @N1nj4P3ngu1n nah it just depends on the thickness of the pick itself thicker picks are more easier to use but break more often then thinner picks

  • Esses diretores de imagem são uma piada! O SRV detonando e o cara só mostrando o tecladista tocando "O Bife"!!

  • helal be!

  • @thaIdiot1235 This is from the SRV box set. It is 3 cds and one dvd. They have it at allot of music shops (FYE, if they have one were u live)

Stole this box set from my dad when I was 13 never heard Stevie before. Man am I glad I took that box set!

  • when he had a bad night on the guitar he would always say "man i sounded so white tonight".......hahahaha. Aint no color to the blues.

  • anybody know if this is on some sort of dvd or something ?

realy would like to have that ^^

  • @ThaIdiot1235

It's from the bonus dvd from the "SRV" box set.

  • :)

  • Mavina: AMEN!

  • what a fuckin shit!

  • zakknettin, ur right!!! great stuff as always from SRV

  • After so many years, his music, and tone can almost bring a tear to my eye. The man was that good! This version throws a little B.B. King type solo in there. GREATEST BLUES MAN TO EVER PLAY. I feel honored, and lucky to have seen him.

  • what amps is he using here you think?

  • reece is almost as amazing at piano as SRV! I love that whole band. SRV is my goal for blues guiar.

  • GEIL

  • Here is to you Grandmother. Remember when we were listening to this man's music in my Chevey Blazer. Hope you are doing well up in Heaven. Send down some blessings.

  • How many fingers does Reese have?

  • @facubarca About three hundred and two, I think.

  • @facubarca About 30, he hides them under his beard and uses them when you're not looking :P

  • Watch hor far he bends those strings between 2:42-2:50...I am left speechless...

  • "Tisket, tasket....a groovy yellow basket"

.......pretty much says it all right there.

  • i just drooled a little bit. i am seriously just mesmerized beyond belief every time i hear him play. RIP <3

  • Mindblowing !!!

  • he dont play good he play beatiful, thanks Stevie for the music!!

  • SRV never die

  • I WANT THAT HAT!!!

  • 6 people got jealous watching S.R.V play!

  • 3:41 Gesundheit Stevie! :P

  • I had no idea that mother goose could be so soulful, awesome, bluesy, and full of raw power

SRV with his "first wife" and Double Trouble, damn this guy's my hero

  • @ryste85 agreed but you really shouldnt put the " " he told an interviewer he was playing his first wife and the man said "kind of a little joke first wife right stevie" and stevie goes no its not a joke its serious

  • This was the first srv tune i learned note for note since i started palying the blues at 12. Im 30 now. I give him so much credit for his major influence on my playing, but more importantly he gave me hope to say if Stevie beat his addictions to booze and drugs so can i. I was on a 1 way track to death, without SRV i dont know what would have happened to me. I say daily prayers to god and stevie for continues sobriety. He was the best blues guitarist of all time in my opinion. Thanks SRV.

  • 2.03.... 0.0 !

  • That's called being one with the guitar.

  • ahhhhh i love that pianist along with srv of course is the best band you can get!

  • iyi paylaşım :)

  • I've never seen anybody channel the blues like Stevie. It's amost like he becomes possessed. Watch his face as he fades from a Albert Collins to B.B. to feel.

  • That solo was beyond any word I can think to describe it, thank you to the person who posted this

  • will there be a srv concert in heaven every day? it would be worth dieing for today.

  • ol steve was still excited from the solo when he started the tiket tasket verse. this is the best version ever

  • Amazing talent. . . I'm fortunate to have seen him live. . . . .

  • wildest version EVER

  • Bon Jovi HTF is BJ o blow job. thats all he is. Gay rock

  • his solo at 2:02 is just relentless

  • Stevie ray god and thats and understatement!!!!!

  • Man, if watching that doesn't give you chills, I pity you.

  • Up in heaven, right now, Johnny Cash, Randy Rhodes, Cliff Burton, Jimmy "The Rev" Sullivan, and Stevie Ray Vaughn are rocking out for God, celebrating the new year.

  • srv is the only guy i know who can take a nursery rhyme and make it funky

  • that turnaround at 5:11 makes my fucking world stop

  • 5 deaf people have watched this video.

  • You know some guitarists have talent but not enough passion, and some have passion and not enough talent. Stevie Ray Vaughan had everything you could want in a guitarist. God blessed all of us who got to languish in his hypnotic and beautiful creation of music.

  • More than any other artist or guitaris, his style is a mix of so many things, but still his own. He goes from Woodstock sound, to Hendrix, to straight Rock, to Blues and who knows what else. Absolutely the most creative musician ever. I can't imagine what he's playing in Heaven for Jesus.

  • never stop to listen to !!!

  • I used to never like fenders very much but after hearing Stevie play it just makes me want to get one.

  • WOW!!!!!!!!!!

  • the five who thumbed this video down must be justin bieber fans

  • yer right dawg, i missed him too all those years, but i found him in 2004, thats all that counts

  • i'll say it again....DAMMMMM!!!

  • This song is just sooooooooooooooo great...as all SRV's songs! :) I wish I could play like this! RIP Stevie Ray, we'll never forget you! :/

  • You are still awesome Stevie Ray.We miss you,RIP.How's Jimi?

  • leave it to stevie to show us how to play a nursery rhyme and make is sound this good.

  • man man ... wanneer hij daar uitbreekt in deel 2 van zijn solo @ 2:30 ... wat'n gitarist... damn

  • @Anorag

Helaas een waar we er waarschijnlijk geen 3e meer van zien aangezien hij de 2e was

  • AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHYEEEEAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I think it was one of his best concerts

  • Just the best blues player that ever walked and will walk on this earth ...

"I'm a black man caught in a white guy's body" - Stevie Ray Vaughan

  • Clearly the best.

  • SRV is amazing as usual but here I really like the tightness of the band.

  • great guitarist my main inspiration.

  • They say his fingers would bleed sometime after playing. Never heard anyone better !! R.I.P Stevie !! You are loved !!

  • see. i told ya'll god exists.

his passion for music leaves me speachless.

just incredible. oh fuck i forgot about my noodles from watching this video over and over xD

  • @d1rNGrey I was listening to SRV last week and forgot about the rice. :)

  • @d1rNGrey what i like about stevie ray is teh best recording ever has nothing to do with his performances, as they were all consistent. It has to do t=with the actual recording!

  • @d1rNGrey oh no, not the noodles!

  • impressionante, lindo....beautiful, amazing, he was else where while he was playing, just incredible

  • こんなすごい音を、今後聞く事ができるのか?

  • the best.... i love you SRV!!!!

  • Steve, you are still the man. RIP....

  • this is the version im going to teach my kids

    fuck the nursery rhyme

  • This man had it all!

  • among others, 5 things to prove God exists:

    1. creation of jews, germans and you

    2. creation of muslims and their free will to live as they please

    3. body's natural defense systems that can create cancer, but also unexplained miracles of cancer disappearing.

    4. everything that happens in Buffalo, NY...and the bad, turn from your wicked ways and acknowledge Christ and He will direct your path.

    5. The birth of Stevie Ray Vaughan.

  • 5 things that prove God doesn't exist:

    1) The Holocaust

    2) 9/11

    3) Cancer

    4) Everything that's happened to Buffalo, NY

    5) The loss of Stevie Ray Vaughan

  • @cavalrytm All of these things happen due to karma in present or previous lives. Poor SRV was haunted and his mind was out of control. You have a choice to do things or not do things. There are no innocent people in this world.
