124 wow something to be proud of. LSU academics are a joke. Not even close to Alabama academics and thats something that one cant argue. Football both programs are respectable, Alabama football is on a major upswing but Bama has a program history LSU fans cant stand its 12 national titles 21 sec titles and the most bowl game wins and appearances. LSU has what again? Not bad LSU but you got a long way to go before you become a real school and a real football team.

I understand your national title argument but have to point out that if you count titles since LSU won their first in 58' then Alabama has won 7 to LSU's 3. Alabama's last big year was 99 when we won the SEC title.

As for academics, I would certainly never say we were Vandy 2.0 lol but in all fairness Alabama is considered all round a better academic school by a fair margin. Wow, I have this argument all the time lol my sister went to LSU lol.

And yes, Bama is considered a better school, but LSU's making some pretty big strides...it was run into the ground by a do-nothing administration for so long, it's going to take a while to rebuild the name.

Bama had a pretty big year I think it was 01 or 02 when they were on probation and had a 10 win season. I'm not saying you guys aren't quality, it's just been a while.

We certainly do have that in common lol. Im the first to admit its been a while but in the end its good for both teams to be good especially for the SEC. Im not making fun of LSU academics they are a damn sight better than most and the leadership it was under in the past was nothing short of criminal. Again, in the end its best for everybody when LSU improves its academic standing because in the end thats more important than wins or losses.

to be honest, Saban is indeed doing what he did at LSU in terms of rebuilding (retaining in-state talent and getting great recruits)

I'm an LSU fan, but Saban's doing the right things for Alabama.

I could complain about him leaving LSU, but if he didn't leave, we wouldn't have Les Miles, so it works out.
