The Neon is NOT a PT, I know because I have both cars sitting in my driveway right now. A simple look under the ass end of each will tell the tale. The PT has a twist beam axle and Watts linkage, the Neon doesn't. They're not the same chassis or frame get a clue and do a google search!
PT Cruiser= Neon. Everything about the PT Cruiser and Neon are identical except for the bodywork. Same engine, same chasis, same wheelbase. Chrysler basically tricked everyone into thinking it was a new car.

Well you'd be starting more than halfway if you went with the STI, as it has 300BHP stock from a 4 cylinder AND all wheel drive. Also, if you put too much HP into your PT cruiser, the axles will snap. If you want new axles, prepare to spend money on a whole new trans, because that means replacing every gear in there for a thicker axle. The car sucks.
