Ya know i find it kinda funny that the announcers are close to the ring back during the 90s in wcw they use to be pretty far from the ring I guess they borrowed that concept from the wwf but still wcw in my opinion back in those days was the best

This was in my hometown I was 2 young 2 go see it when I lived there @ that time. Loved this match. both guys rock! beyond 5 stars it was amazing! DDP might come back 2 WWE now I've heard from some1 on here as a commentator & occasional wrestler I can't wait!! Loved seeing him on RAW!!! Pro wrestling needs DDP back both WWE & TNA could benefit from his creative genious!

Its simple my friend, WWE Killed all of its compatision. The teritories are dead and the indies are a joke. Theres no place for young wrestlers to go to learn their craft. WWE doesnt want wrestlers who have traveled outside of america. Like wrestlers that go on tours to mexico and japan. Vince likes to take kids and teach them the wwe way. Look at Alberto Del Reo, hes not bad, but hes not as over as CM Punk.

But Vince would rather have ADR as champ, becouse hes a WWE guy, they created him. Punk is a true well rounded guy, wrestled for ROH and TNA, thats a make agenst him in Vinces eyes. The wrestlers back in the day were men, tough guys in their late 20s to mid 40s, now there all kids. And the guys in the back our all to old, they dont have the youthfull attitoud, not there fangers on the pulse of pop culture. WWE is now a publicly traded company, they have the board of investores to apease.

They wont take the chances they use to. They have Mattel and Disney as investors, so the attitoud era is sadley dead. Their targeting kids, like in the 80s. But wrestling was huge in the 80s, and almost dead now. Another resone for this is,as Jake Roberts has said in shoot interviews, back in his time the fans were emotionaly drawn to the wrestlers, now there visualy stimulated. I.E the wrestlers had great characters and could all give great interviews. As Al Snow has said, now its a spot match.

And these spot monkies are like fire works, you go ew and ahh, its pretty. But how many times a year do you need to see a fire works show? 1! Thats some of the biggest problems with wrestling in the last decade. The wrestlers want to have the "best" match on the card, not the one that draw the most money. Thouse the wrestling business isnt making a lot of money. Their wrestlers cant draw flies to an outhouse.

One more big thing the wrestlers today dont get is they are supost to work the " Marks", today the marks work the wrestlers. They have no idea how to get the fans involved in a match. Look at the x devision as the best example. Their like fish, they fell like they need to keep moving or they will drowned. You can go out there and do 100 drop kicks in a fow, no one is going to give a crap, your not going to buy tickets to see that wrestler, nor buy there merchendice.

But if you do a drop kick then stop and pose, or get the fans involved in an organic way, and have the other wrestler sell the move, now we care for both of them. Everything now is to rehersed, The wrestlers have writers write all of there promos. Back in the day the wrestlers came up with there own interviews and hade a hand in there characters, not today. The hollywood writer have to much power. Sorry for the long rant with a lot of misspellings, but when I get on a role it happens.

Also look at the faces in wwe right now. Morrison, Cena, Bourn, Kingston ect, what are their gimicks? Their all the same borring cockie cutter good guys, no originality, no pop. No one cares. The heels are a bit better, with Wade Barrett and Cody Rhodes coming into their own. But without a strong face, a strong heel is erelevent. Just like TNAs X Devision, they havnet a clue how to get over. They just hit their poses over and over again, do their big spots, and you can hear crickes churping.

@Desore There will NEVER be a DDP dvd released by WWE. They totally buried him by having him annilated by Undertaker on several PPVS in a row and destroyed by Taker on every house show for months. After that DDP got stuck with some self help gimmick where he encouraged people to smile more and got stuck in a fued with then curtain jerker Christian in a terrible fued, he was released a short time after.

As for Sting, he has never and will never have anything to do with WWE. No chance of a dvd.

People say that WCW is all about the nWo and old wrestlers from the WWF and they did not build their own stars. Chris Jericho, Eddie Guerrero, Chris Benoit, Rey Mysterio, etc. didn't get pushed. But I think they did push some of their own superstars. They are Goldberg, Diamond Dallas Page, The Giant, Booker T, Scott Steiner (even though he's from the WWF, he became a World Champion in WCW), etc. Those guys became World Champions.

I remember this night. I remember after Sting won the title, Flair made the match for Sting and Goldberg at Slamboree for the belt. Although, DDP won the belt back later in the night, and the Sting/Goldberg match wasn't for the belt.
