Ok, here's how it goes. Most people who hate this car are either JDM'ers whoz stuck on early 2000's automotive designs. Haters that can't afford it, & those people haven't even test drive one of these advance vehicles. Im a car enthusiast and on my spare time before or after work I usually browse at the dealers to test drive all cars especialy the everyday ones. This car is juz balance, it doesn't wanna be rough and fast like the BMW's, It doesn't wanna have a bad residual value like the AUDI's.

A great video. Acura's have a special personality to them. Some people may think they're ugly but who cares. I don't like to be the same old thing as everyone else, different is a good change. BMW's and Mercs seem boring, escipally the interiors of the BMW. @martin20xx Well honestly it depends on what type of all-wheel drive system you get. Like for instance, acura's sh-awd system makes their cars safer for snow and rainy weather, but also just as fun if not more fun than a rwd vehicle. And if you're expecting to get a rwd acura, you won't find one, because all of their cars come in front wheel drive, except for the rl and mdx who come standard with sh-awd. Some all wheel drive systems though, don't have anything special about them.

RWD is always more fun to drive because you can put the back end out for donuts drift ect. AWD isn't needed unless you live somewhere with snow half year round.

I've been watching many TL videos lately. The styling has grown on me, and I know it's a great car underneath. I wonder how much longer it will go on with the 5-AT. My guess is that Honda will give it the 6-AT out of the ZDX for a 2012 refresh.

Don't be a fool. 5-speed AT in an Acura equals 6 speeds AT equipped in others'. For example, in an Acura car, you can easily go one one speed in higher RPM (much higher) than in other cars such as Lexus or Infiniti

Because Acura has exceptional reliability and will stay with you for well over 10 years with minimal problems. Try that in a Benz or BMW (which btw are nice cars too though not as reliable!) Acura is just as luxurios as Benz or BMW with a better value.

Dude, you did a great job in this interview. The Acura TL is the ultimate luxury sport car. Merc's and BM's have old looking interiors which never get updated to a more contemporary look, especially BMW's. Acura's TL looks like a 2009 car. This is exactly what a car in this day and age should look like, modern interior and modern exterior.

I'm actually kinda glad people don't like it. I don't want to see everyone and their "momma" driving it around like you see BMW's and Infiniti's. It is a constant reminder to me that I am NOT like everyone else. Not better, just different. This car is everything I need, GPS, AWD, 305hp, good looks along with Acura reliability. My brother bought a 325i in 2001 and I can't tell you how many problems he's had with that thing. He wants to trade it in for a Silverado if that tells you anything.

treelishan I think you hit it right on the nose. I love this car. I was really in love with the previous Generation TL-S but and actually hated the way this new model looked at first. After seeing this thing in person and doing my research my mind changed pretty quick. The rear of this car is as sexy as J-Lo's. Can't afford it on my Navy pay but hopefully my new business is successful just in time to grab the new 2010 SH-AWD model with a 6-Speed manual tranny. Can't wait.

I own an 06 Acura TL. It's the tenth car and I absolutely love it. By far the best car in it's price point, however, I have to agree, Acura has left me cold with the new model. The car is a marvel of advanced auto engineering, yet a very ugly girl. Totally classless.

The sales manager at my dealership even painted the front grill on one just to tone down the horrible front smile. No doubt, Acura wil tweak the exterior in 2010. Wait before buying this one guys, Acura has much work to do.

I'm a big Acura fan, I drive a TL, and I think it's disqusting what they've done to the new model. Furthermore, the interest rates are the lowest right now in Car Financing History, so go buy one. I doubt that you'll will, for you dealer still has 08 TL's on his lot from last year, which, in short, will kill your trade in value. Unless you made a big down payment, you're probably upside down in your loan. Good luck in this economy getting negative equitity rolled in to the new loan.

Efficiency with what?  The RL and MDX offer average if not below average fuel economy for their respective classes, even limiting comparisons to other AWD models. TSX isn't too great either for its class and engine size.

To acuradan623: The Acura TL is a uniquely North American car. The Accord is the JDM Inspire and the RL is the JDM Legend, but there is no JDM version of the TL. It is for us, and the design came out of the American teams.

It worries me that the Chief Engineer in charge of the workings of the TL struggles to answer and bullshits most of the questions asked of him. I'd rather have one of the lower production co-workers, designers, and engineers who know more about the car give us the interview rather than this dude who sounds completely unsure about the car itself.
