@MoosicandCritters You and I must be on the same wavelength because I first heard this song on the Weather Channel when I was living in New Bern, NC in 1989. This song is one of the reasons why I became a fan of contemporary jazz music later when I became a sophomore in high school. Unfortunately, the Weather Channel doesn't play as much good music as they did in the late 80's, 90's.
