  • WOW. It's stuff like this America.

  • Or maybe it's just that the smart ones don't win beauty contests. It'd be like asking the same question to the finalists in a dumbass competition.

  • Kentucky, are you kidding me? Translation- "We should strive to learn all we can, unless it is a lot of information, then we should not make an attempt."

Alaska- Why must you believe in something to live life?

Alabama- "It should not be taught in schools, and we should not allow blacks in said schools, for we are closed minded."

Indiana- "I don't know, we should leave it up to the government" My question to her.... "Who makes up the government?!"

I can't finish, my brain hurts from watching.

  • This is a case where I don't know whether to like or dislike the video

  • Proper response: "That's a tough question. It's tough because families have their own individual beliefs which they want passed on to their children. However, evolution has been proven through observation beyond a reasonable doubt and should be taught in public school systems, as well as any scientific facts. If families want to teach their children otherwise, that's unfortunate, but they have a right to their beliefs."

  • Creation-a-tism. Fucking brilliant.

  • To be fair, it's not a super fair question. These people have no idea what they're talking about, so how can we expect them to make conjectures on something they don't comprehend.

  • How the hell do I even choose which one is the worst from among these? Even the full version of every contestant only had a very few passable C grade answers.

You can't give me a dozen rotten eggs and tell me to pick which one is the worst, since it would be absolutely pointless.

My forehead hurts from banging it on the desk while listening to these answers...

  • HEHHEEELELEPPPPP!!!1 MY FACE IS STUCK INNN MY Y KEYYPBOARD!!!!!!

  • These are basically the people we elect.

  • * also if you don't want your head kicked in, never say that to their faces. Handy hint their

  • @caesarves you sir are a cocky dick. And well done btw for doing some background research. You were entirely correct that the SAS, who as part of their recruitment are required to travel increasingly large distances in full equipment every day, culminating in a 23 km march followed by a 4 hour mountain descent followed by a 4 mile run in 30 mins followed by a 2 mile swim in 90 mins; are fat. Congratulations, you have demonstrated your rather large stupidity. Also if you don't want your head kic

  • Miss Indiana's answer actually made a lot of sense. Her point seemed to be that people shouldn't be forced to believe anything. She could be interpreted (if we give her a charitable interpretation) as advocating critical thinking and lack of any dogma.

  • Nice education system you got there USA

  • YOU CAN NOT TAKE ANY OF THESE ANSWERS SERIOUSLY, EVOLUTION IS NOT A QUESTION OF IF,BUT A FACT!!!

ITS F**** SCIENCE, THERE IS NOOO ABSOLUTELY NOOOO PROOOF OF GOD!!

  • Such beauty..why the fuck did they have to open their mouths?

  • 2:35 No, it's all about what is TRUE or not. Just because 3/4 Americans believe that God created the Earth doesn't make it reality.

  • Some of their answers weren’t bad...personally I would have said the only place evolution should be mentioned is on stage at a comedy festival...scientists unanimously agree sea squirts turned into humans that’s pretty funny

  • even though all of these girls are morons, i'd plow every one of them!

  • why do ppl not know the definition of the word: Theory?

  • @Schutzstaffel23 I think it's because they've never had the word "hypothesis" explained to them. If they knew what a hypothesis was, then they'd understand why the two are not the same.

  • @DrChalkwithering exactly my good sir.

  • The stupidity, IT BURNS!

  • *facepalm*

  • Minnesota did incredibly well! Articulate and even had a fact I didn't know.

This is less impressive if they knew the question ahead of time.

  • Miss Alabama is the worst. Then Miss Kentucky.

By the way, both of which are huge redneck bible toting states.

  • this proves girls are dumb

  • ohgodwhy

  • OK, can we get this straight- MISS USA CONTESTANTS ARE NOT BRIGHT PEOPLE. Like any good looking girl, they've gotten through life on beauty, not intellect. So for the love of all that is rational, do not associate these women with the entire population of the United States. Literally, every single person I know who I've talked about evolution with believes in it 100%. These women are abnormalities, not generalities.

  • I think the question is stupid. There is no controversy about whether or not evolution should be taught in schools. It has been legal to teach evolution in schools for decades! The controversy is whether creationism (the old Hebrew creation story) should be taught along side Evolution is SCIENCE classes.

  • GOD GIVES LIFE A MEANING = WITHOUT GOD, LIFE HAS NO MEANING FOR ME

  • @otaku3d congratulations, glad you feel so strongly about that you have to capitalise every letter.

  • You should be knowledged about it!

  • Next question should be: "if you are a marginally educated person of below average intelligence, should you be allowed to share your moronic opinions with the world?".

Oh and p.s. the word "theory" in science means that a concept is generally accepted and _proven_.

    Kthxbai. :-)

  • This is partly our fault gentlemen. We've always been willing to overlook a lack of intelligence if a girl has pretty eyes or a huge rack, and as a result, many of those women have never felt any need to pursue such knowledge. If a girl is hot, great. But if she turns out to be a total bitch because she knows any guy that thinks with his penis is going to let her walk all over him, be the hero some of us are too horny to be, and tell her to take a hike. It's time for a much needed revolution.

  • this is the video that finally caused the aneurysm in my brain to burst....

  • Creationitism? 3:02

  • miss nevada looks kinda insect like....

  • Indiana was the worst.

  • Now I know why Americans seem to instinctively think that attractive woman are dumb by default... And I can't blame them.

America, your women give a bad name to their gender. Send them back to the kitchen and leave emancipation to women from Europe, Afrika and Asia. Oh, and if those are the most attractive women America has to offer I fully understand why you're constantly waging war in far away countries. Whenever you think YOUR country is dump, look at America and smile.

  • I said "oh my fucking life" about 50 times during this video

  • i gonna be sick yo

  • This is the hardest video to watch on youtube

  • the 24 y/o virgin was hot. Oh shit I mean Virginian.

  • evolution took a break when it came to america :)))

  • plain dumb people

  • "How do you teach a chowald?"

  • @robertmike57 Why only show the ignorant answers? Got here from "What Miss USA Can Teach us about Evolution" which was way more interesting because it showed the range and sorts of answers and compared them to the manner of general understanding of evolution in the US.

Just garners responses "lul, they're stupid girls and we're screwed" a la @manchesterfellow or @z3kRL. Seems like a decision to choose an "easy target" without offering critique, and where's the fun in that?

  • @CommieCassie I showed the most ignorant answers because this video is titled: Worst Top 15 Miss USA Contestant Answers. What Miss USA Can Teach us about Evolution is an hour video, mine is 5 minutes.

The vast majority of answers from the other 36 contestants were along the lines of teaching both sides: evolution and creation/intelligent design, been redundant to show them, believe only about 10 answers were even semi acceptable and only 2 or 3 were good answers.

  • @robertmike57 Would love to hear the 2 or 3 good answers. Since only about 3% of all Americans are at least somewhat intelligent, I would say that Miss USA contentants are about perfectly representational.

  • @dmu111

3%? Really, you did your own research and determined what exactly is "intelligent" and then assigned that number to an entire population of people? Or, are you one of those people that believes on atheists and agnostics can be intelligent. I would love to hear your some of that research for that one. Hating on Americans is getting old. Find something else to do, kid.

  • @sciences8 You need to lightened up, dude. I was actually complementing the Miss USA contestants for NOT being statistically dumber than the rest of America. And you don't have to be an atheists or agnostic to be intelligent, you just need to have a basic understanding of how science and the scientific method works. It's not that hard, really!

  • @robertmike57

True, but the quality sucks on there and not being able to hear them all kind of detracted from the point :c

So, was hoping to find more, and this was the only set of them in the immediate vicinity.

And, i guess i was kind of questioning it more on feminist-philosophical grounds, since the choice of subject group + portrayal seems to be attracting a lot of "lol, women are stupid" comments, whereas expanding the portrayal would counter that somewhat.

  • @CommieCassie The point is, they are stupid girls and we are screwed.

  • I saw "alabama" and i just thought - oh god...

  • Are we really surprised? Beauty pageant girls being complete morons?

  • @manchesterfellow I think some of them are cleverer than they're letting on. They know they have to have the audience and the judging pannel on their side in order to win; so, like a politician, the smarter ones will pander to the lowest common denominator for the sake of popularity. If my career success relied on having every slack-jawed yokel like me, I'd probably do the same thing to.

  • I like how each new girl is dumber than the last.

  • Is this... real?

  • Why the hell do they ask these chicks anything in the first place? They're there to prove how attractive they are, nothing more... and obviously all of them are fucking retarded -_- This is just hard to watch.

  • 15 or so, from what I counted, are really "Unlearned". That's all I'll say

  • wow, they are all idiots......

  • At least one of them said: "I don't know." Which is the most intelligent response if you know a shit about something.

  • Some people are unattractive until they start talkning, and then there are people who are attractive until they actually start talking. As the poet, comedian and author George Carlin once so adequately put it: "People are fucking dumb!"

  • Oh Miss Kentucky, you're so beautiful, but your answer -- why, dear lord, why? D:

  • @AngelAboveSin In all actuality, there are multiple theories... Microevolution and macroevolution exist. I've had physicists, biology professors and others tell me they believe in adapting to your environment, but never in a million years would a monkey become a human.

Most of them were raised devoutly Christian to an extent you may not understand fully, and their contributions on unrelated subjects are still quite important. Just give people their room to be.

  • Everything evolves... Its just takes a lot longer in America....

  • Comment removed

  • @SlashDotDash121 America is the most dominant nation on earth. We will destroy you if we feel like it.

  • @caesarves "You" won't destroy anything, darling. Your government will, if it so chooses.

And incidentally, if it so chooses, then it will destroy "you" - its helpless subjects - too. And has frequently displayed its willingness to do so.

  • @snack881 Unlike bankrupt effeminate Europeans, we run a democracy here, and it is our government, as the global alpha male we destroy anyone with complete impunity, (Euro soldiers can be charged with war crimes, US soldiers can not ahahahaha!), and if we want, you're gone. But of course there's no need to, atheism is a false and vain ideology which will ensure your own self-destruction.

  • @caesarves trolololol

  • @caesarves If you're the global alpha male, why have you been getting the shit kicked out of you by smelly goat herders for the last decade?

  • @DrChalkwithering Because Euro fags made up some bull$#^t Geneva code and they get their titties in a knot if we don't provide these goatherds with deluxe luxury treatment. In any case we've obliterated a hundred times as many of them as they have us. And we still have the biggest most powerful military in the world in spite of these casualties. Tomorrow, some more drone missiles will be fired on whoever the hell we like. Pray to your god richard dawkins it isn't you, you terrorist sympathiser.

  • @caesarves Are you sure it's not just because you're all fat? Are you aware that nearly a quarter of the US marine corps have BMIs of over 26, making them medically overweight? You sound fat.

  • @DrChalkwithering BMI's over 26? No, I believe you are mistaking us for the UK, statistically the world's porkiest population of chubby tubbies. That's probably why your SAS are laughed at by these "goat herders", and why important missions such as the Bin Laden raid are given to Navy SEALs.

  • @caesarves It is well known that Amerifats are mostly obese. That's why it took your fat soldiers ten years to catch Bin Laden; they kept getting distracted every time they went past a KFC.

  • @DrChalkwithering It took ten years because we had to keep going back and helping up the SAS pretend-Americans who thought they could keep up with real soldiers. They kept tripping over their own guts. Ironic, considering they are known for their gutlessness.

  • Could someone please explain me whats the point of these beauty contests? I really don't get it. The way I see it. its just to see who is the most fuckable woman, what do they do? do they have special abilities that no one else have? they are just "pretty" and thats it? you can't even tell the natural beauty of these girls because they wear tons of makeup, they change they appereance by artifial means. Then, what do they call beauty ? I don't understand.

  • Miss USA Universe is a contest of beauty though. they try to say "...and brains" but that's not really the case.

  • It's clear that none of them was taught about evolution in School they all probably have a vacuum in their head

  • u cant be pretty and smart...its a fact

  • @NawtAth3ist That is absolutely not a fact. The level of intelligence you have has nothing to do with the appearance you have.

These girls were probably put into child pageants by their parents, and grew up living living off of their appearance. People did everything for them, and they were very sheltered, so they never had to actually learn anything.

There are many beautiful and intelligent people.

  • @NawtAth3ist By all accounts, the 4th century Alexandrian mathematician Hypatia (who was head of the Platonist school in Alexandria as well as being curator to the famous library of Alexandria) was a famed as a great beauty. Until she was murdered by a Christian mob on her way to work one morning, that is.

  • Oh my gosh! These woman are SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO stupid.

  • These bitches are only good for throat fucking! Fucking useless and brainless whores!

  • @Oipunxunite didn't take long for the atheist hooligan in you to come out - did it? lol

  • You can't say the pledge of allegince or have anything to do with God in school. If you can't have the Adam & eve theory taught in school then you can't have he theory of evolution in school.

  • wooooo... vermont, poor baby.. she is plain dumb. if u wanna teach evolution, at least know what it means..

  • Last two were good answers, except that evolution and the bible (faith vs evidence) aren't compatible.

  • 1:40 24 years old - no way!

  • Miss Georgia's answer was good (:

  • not only are these girls stupid, but... this is a beauty contest. not many of them look that good.

here's the difference. why we teach evolution but not the bible. it's not because there's some conspiracy against christians or anything. the bible not only has no proof, but the fact that it doesn't is what christians take pride in. evolution does. there's quite a bit actually. christians, get as much proof for christianity as there is for evolution and we'll be happy to let you teach it.

  • @PirateMonkeyFilmz

Evolution has no proofs at all. I dare you to find me one. Find me one, just one, that we came from single celled organisms.

You will find your task impossible, by the way. You will find nothing, because it doesn't exist. But you are free to try.

  • @MorpheusOmikron I'm not a scientist. Maybe you should ask one of them. The have access to it, not me. But even if evolution had no proof, do you think that in itself would prove that god exists? There's no proof for there being an all powerful creator either.

  • @PirateMonkeyFilmz

...No. I wouldn't think that proves god...It would just prove that we currently don't have the capacity to prove The Theory of Evolution. Either because it did not happen, or our means are as-of-now insufficient.

Believing the latter, requires the same faith that belief in God requires. The former is also faith. Everything is faith. So have faith in the highest possible good. Not a heartless system of murder and violence, and non-moral accountability.

  • @MorpheusOmikron Sir, it does have proof. I just can't show it to you, because first of all I'm not a scientist and don't have access to many things they do, and because I'm talking to you on the internet. You have access to google. It's time you used it. But seriously, since when does not believing in something take faith? Why does it take faith to admit that I wasn't there when it all started and therefore can't know what really happened? It's not faith to admit you don't know everything

  • @PirateMonkeyFilmz

Pirate, if you cannot produce the proof I asked for, why should I respect "Sir, it does have proof." from you?

If indeed it does, produce it for me, please. And not evidence. Proof. Tangible, irrefutable proof that we came from single celled organisms. I am not looking for proof of mutation. I am looking for proof for that single claim.

It takes faith to believe evolution didn't happen, because you don't know that it didn't. Everything is faith.

  • @MorpheusOmikron But if you're calling the god of the bible the highest possible good, something that would condemn anyone to eternal torture for the simple action of not believing is not good at all. I don't have faith in a "heartless system of murder and violence, and non-moral accountability." If simply apologizing to Jesus makes you no longer accountable for your crime, then that's your system. Have you read the Bible? SO many innocent people are killed by your god in there

  • @PirateMonkeyFilmz

Your relationship with God is your own business. You don't have to be a "Christian". Just have faith in the highest possible good, and let your relationship with God be your own.

  • @PirateMonkeyFilmz

I have faith that if you do this, you will find the biblical God, for you will seek after truth, after light, and after life. God will not condemn you because you did not accept a certain religion's brainwashing. He will condemn you if you choose to mentally and spiritually live in the system that evolution tends to produce in it's adherents. A cold, dead world, with mechanical people, and no higher meaning.

  • @MorpheusOmikron You will have to go ask a scientist if you want your questions answered. But I already can tell you won't except any evidence they give you. Its people like you that makes america look just as stupid as the Phelps family.

  • @MorpheusOmikron Mitochondrial DNA moron. Look it up cretard

  • @mdewit36

And how exactly is Mitochondrial DNA proof?

I know a little bit about it. But I don't know how it's PROOF that we came from single celled organisms. Since you know enough about it to tell me about it, could you please go on to tell me how exactly it serves as proof?

  • @MorpheusOmikron Like I said look it up... "Give a man a fish and you'll feed him for a day: teach a man to fish and you'll feed him for a lifetime" There's such a thing as scientific method. If you cannot or will not realise that this very fact is the reason we can rely on scientific peer reviewed findings, then there is no point in me telling you anything because you are too ignorant, too stupid, or both to believe anything that doesn't support your current beliefs.

  • @mdewit36

From what I can understand, Mitochondrial DNA is not "proof." It's evidence, at best, and evidence can always be misleading.

    So again, proof?

  • @MorpheusOmikron

    "From what I can understand..."

  • @raysny

You are free to provide proof as well. And do not name drop. "Mitochondrial DNA loser, I'm outta here."

That's not proof, that's name dropping. Provide proof (PROOF) that we can from single celled organisms.

You will also find your task impossible, but do, please try, if only to knock out the brainwashing you have.

  • @MorpheusOmikron holy shit debating on Youtube. There is something called google.

  • @WuSongThePilgrim

I've been looking for the "proof" for years. The reason I ask is only to give them a chance, to show themselves that there is indeed no proof. It's only in an honest attempt to find PROOF that they realize there is none.

  • @MorpheusOmikron If you would have went to biology class, you wouldn't have to ask people on youtube for evidence. It is not difficult stuff really. Go and read a book. And even if there were a lack of evidence, it would still be the only scientific theory available.

  • @Axcalzia

    Evidence =/= Proof.

I'm asking for proof, for which there is none.

  • @Axcalzia

In addition, if there's a lack of evidence, why should someone believe it? Just because it's "the only scientific theory available?" You mean, it's the only opinion that scientist's hold? Who cares? Scientists are just dumbfucks like the rest of us. And if they all have a common, unsubstantiated opinion, it's no better and no more valuable than any religion on this planet.

  • @MorpheusOmikron Well you are of course correct that simply because its the only theory available, its not correct by default. Science constantly adjust its views on the world, which you can't say about clergymen. However if evolution is just an "opinion" then the theory of helicentrism also is just an "opinion held by scientists". There are plenty of people who opposes the idea of heliocentrism. Unlike you however, the "dumbfuck" scientists have actually studied the subject.

  • @Axcalzia

Way to assume. I study evolution quite a bit.

But thank you for admitting that Evolution is not correct by default.

  • @MorpheusOmikron I don't put any pride into the fact that evolution is the best explanation of the origin of the species. If scientists came up with a better theory, then I would follow that theory instead. However that is as likely as that they would come up with a new theory for gravitation or plate tectonics. Evolution is used daily in laboratories all over the world, when creating vaccines, and the same technique which traces our ancestry,is used in crime investigations and paternity tests.

  • @Axcalzia

Last I checked, our ancestry has not been verifiably traced back to a non-human species.

    Verifiably being the key word.

  • @MorpheusOmikron Nothing in science is 100% verifiable, to get an absolute certainty, you need to go into the realms of math, where you can have absolute proofs for that an equation is correct. In the rest of the scientific branches however, a theory is the highest form of proof that you can have. Just like gravitation, heliocentrism and tidal waves are theories, evolution is. We can say with at least 99,9% certainty that we are a result of evolution.

  • Evolution should be taught, only if every other ancient pagan creation myth is taught along with it.

Evolution is just one mystery school religion that we decided to revive. Why is it the only one?

  • Please… please tell me this isn't real. These are actors, right? Not actual, REAL contestants? *Google* … AH CRAP.

  • Kia Hampton is beautiful, but she's FREAKIN' CLUELESS!

  • Can i just say these people are so dumb, it is a fact and there is no evidence to suggest evolution is not right it shouldn't even be a question as the answer should always be yes

  • Minnesota for a demonstration of champion tightrope walking

  • 'we're smarter than ever these days' Miss Georgia. This isn't some new American Monty Python programme is it?

  • ok. some of these woman really are meant to be just looked at. to understand evolution u have to know a lot.. about everything that can be learnt in any learning institution, regardless of the lv of difficulty. thankfully we have tv to bridge the gap b/w the grades of difficulty and depth of detail on these topics. (educational tv, not MTV, that shit is something else.) science classes and biology will do the rest.

  • Darwin stopped believing in God because his son died. Pretty childish

  • my brain is seriously shitting wild animals out that are shitting fireballs on top of that over how utterly mind numbing these people's responses are. the last one was almost tolerable until she said "the idea of evolution"..... how is it that there are people living in a 1st world country in the 21st century that don't know evolution is a fact? it blows my mind. these are the kinds of responses you should expect from people who think the world is flat and gravity is only a "theory".

  • Evolution is not a belief I don't understand why so many people seem to have a problem with it. Besides, you can believe in a God and still believe evolution... Stop being stupid people.

  • @Lazykang you can't beleve in God and evolution. it goes strait against genesis 1.

  • @PlushAnimationStudio Well you see, just because I said one believes in God, doesn't mean it has to be the christian God. Just believing that a God created everything, that in turn created creatures and things that evolve.

  • @PlushAnimationStudio "you can't beleve in God and evolution" actually billions would disagree including the catholic church. how about you go talk to them about that because you are completely wrong stating people cannot reconcile these two things.

  • @PlushAnimationStudio

And yet, we have observed biological evolution but have yet to observe gods, goblins or ghosts. We have examples of speciation, of mutation and of transposition. We have fossils and genetics with prediticive utility and a formidable success rate. We have no examples of a magical sky daddy and we have no fossil rabbits in the Cambrian. Perhaps, just maybe, Genesis 1 is a fairy tale.

  • just the fact that they are having this conversaition proves that evolution is not fact, and it should not be taught (as fact) but as an idea. because it is........... even darwin said it

  • @PlushAnimationStudio That is illogical. We can pose any question and because we are talking about it does it alter the evidence? If the question was "should we teach maths in schools?" would that mean that all maths was invalid and should not be taught. And should we teach alchemy and stork theory as alternatives to chemisty and health classes? What scares you so much about evolution?!

  • @perrancrosley the question is no,t if math should be taught in schools.

and what evidence? (dont just explain the theiry like everyone else does) I mean evidence dont tell about how it happend tell me how you know that it did. (no one will answer me and I'd realy like to know. they just tell me the thiery and say it is fact)

  • @PlushAnimationStudio Evidence of evolution. Most commonly known evidence woiuld be the fossil record, proven hereditary in genetics, H.Sapiens chromosome 2, talpid2 gene, geographic distribution of species and the 150 years of science dedicated to disproving the ToE. Evolution is integral in our view of biology, it is an applicable theory that is consistently shown to be correct. There is no argument in the genuine scientific community that we evolved.

  • @perrancrosley I have a life to live. I've been talking to gulible people like you all freaking day and they all said completly ridiculus crap coverd up by long names, cicular reasoning, and termanology.

  • @PlushAnimationStudio no, theyre having this conversation because theyre stupid, there's a difference.

  • @PlushAnimationStudio because there are people who do not understand modern biology this means evolution is not a fact? what a stupid comment. hell you still have idiots who think homeopathy works. "even darwin said it" wow handy way to invent a quote and mislead, dont even quote anything at all!

  • @endosymbiotictheory you just twisted my quote.

and I can't find ANYONE who will tell me what thier "evidence" they claim to have is.

all they do is repete their theiry that proves it's self through circular reasoning.

  • @PlushAnimationStudio Maybe no one tells you because it's not their job to tell you. If you want the facts go research them yourself. It's not our job to teach you science. If you want to learn about evolution read a book. If you don't want to go out of your way to learn about it that’s your choice, but admit you don't want to go out of your way instead of placing the responsibility on other people.

    By the way... Theory*

  • @PlushAnimationStudio i doubt you've ever researched beyond creationist websites but here's a taste: let's start with experimental evidence: we've observed one species of bacteria splinting into 3 in the laboratory by exposing them to different conditions. during the lenski experiment they observed bacteria evolve the ability to metabolise citric acid. that require THREE new genes arising where they had never been before. respond back and I'll move onto the fossil record, genetics etc

  • @endosymbiotictheory if you move on to the fossil record\ genetics I would die of over exposure to pure gulibility.

  • @PlushAnimationStudio right so rather than rebutting the evidence you make immature personal attacks.

we know for a fact from repeated experimental evidence that species can split into two or more and we know for a fact that genetic material is not static: whole new genes can be evolved or lost. ever heard of duplication? that is one of the mechanisms by which more information can be added to the genome.

  • @endosymbiotictheory I repete I have a life to live. and you havn't stated any evidence as of yet

  • @PlushAnimationStudio wow you have a skewed definition of evidence. I just stated we've seen new species evolve in the laboratory, we've seen whole new genes arise from spontaneous mutations and spread throughout the population. we can make predictions about when to look for transitional forms in the fossil record which are frequently supported with fossil evidence. the entire fossil record is testament to greater complexity with time. our own genetics stands testament to evolution.

  • @PlushAnimationStudio yet after ALL that evidence which is barely scratching the surface (I have stated some points in a couple of comments, there are hundreds of books and studies published documenting the evidence) YOU say t here is no proof and you put your fingers in your ears. I've heard your christian 'scientists' talk about the 'research'. do you know what they say if you ask them if they find evidence contradicting the bible? they say the must be in error. so what's the point studying?

  • @PlushAnimationStudio and now I bet this big pause is either because you're just going to go to creationist websites because you're so desperate to find something conforming to your views or you'll just ignore this conversation entirely, preferring to shut your eyes to the reality of the world. do us all a favour please, next time you get antibiotics ask for the original drug from 50 years ago because you don't believe bacteria can evolve resistance.

  • @endosymbiotictheory even if there was absoloute proof against evolution another thiery would spur up from another 3rd grade dropout (like darwin) that takes all responsibility of his own actions away from the indavidual that is willing to belive it.

  • @PlushAnimationStudio the only people who say that evolution takes responsibility away from individuals are creationists who have NO EVIDENCE so they have to try to make pathetic lying emotional arguments like that. that is the depth you people have to stoop to, appealing to emotions rather than looking at the evidence. that is why you are ignoring ALL the evidence I just presented and are making ignorant comments like that

  • @PlushAnimationStudio you do realise darwin actually did get a degree from cambridge don't you? what an immature 'insult' you used, you use it to imply that you cannot present evidence and observations without a degree don't you? sorry but in science its the evidence that speaks for itself, authority means nothing altho I dont expect a creationist to understand that.

  • @PlushAnimationStudio are you so brainwashed you cannot see what a silly argument you just made? rather than discussing ALL the evidence I just presented you ignore it completely an make an immature emotional argument saying that people are no longer responsible for their actions. don't you remember that the catholic church has accepted evolution? so no, you cannot argue evolution is incompatibly with god or religious morality.

  • @PlushAnimationStudio "even if there was absoloute proof against evolution " but there is NONE. nothing at all. yet we have 150 years of evidence from genetics, fossils, anatomy etc. every field of biology supports evolution. yet there is NO evidence at all for creation. if you had any proof you would say it, you wouldn't have to make immature comments about darwin or make emotional arguments about morality. the facts should speak for themselves.

  • @PlushAnimationStudio so come on, if god created EVERYTHING in 6 days, why is it that the fossil record shows WITHOUT FAIL that the oldest fossils deeper in the earth are simpler creatures and life becomes more complex the younger the fossils get? why is it we can predict where to find transitional fossils? either evolution is true or your god is a trickster playing a big joke by leaving all the evidence to suggest evolution happened.

  • @endosymbiotictheory nearly all fossils are transitional. the only non-transitional fossils would come from those who didn't reproduce.

  • @victorsossa of course, everyone with a science background knows that species are not fixed. I was however talking to a creationist who understand terms like transitional in a completely different different way to you or I. They view this form of evidence as the transitional form between reptiles and birds (like in the example I gave). I've afraid we have to start with baby steps with these people, saying all forms are transitional goes way over their head.

  • @PlushAnimationStudio based on your ignorance on this topic I doubt you know what a telomere is. It is the cap on the end of our chromosomes to prevent degradation. it gets worn down over time and is one of the reasons why we age (its more complicated than that but that's the simple version). Can you please explain why we have telomeres at the centre of chromosome 2? either god is sticking chromosomes together or we have a common ancestor with other primates with 48 chromosomes.

  • @PlushAnimationStudio while you're at it can you explain from a creationist perspective why animals like peacocks exist? we know for a fact that animals with such exaggerated bright features like those tail feathers are more likely to be killed by predators as it slows them down and makes them more visible. it makes perfect sense when sexual selection is taken into account, or if god is making animals easier to kill just because he likes them pretty. is that it?

  • @endosymbiotictheory he created them before the fall of man. before there were preditors

  • @PlushAnimationStudio yet you do not have a shred of evidence for that at all. however we can see how females selecting for these traits have lead to this being favoured. so what you are saying is that your 'all knowing' god created many animals with detrimental traits that would make them more vulnerable to predators. wow what a benevolent being!

  • @PlushAnimationStudio we can look at the fossil record and make predictions about how evolution occurred. it was predicted based on anatomy and genetics that birds evolved from a reptile group. around 200 million years ago we have no bird fossils, but by 70 million years ago we start seeing a lot. so at some point between then there would have to be transitional forms correct? so we went looking in rocks of that age and we find fossils like Archaeopteryx which has the features of both.
