Taper turning using Gingery Lathe and Electronic Lead Screw

can you please help me to explain the movements of the center lathe when:

cylindrical turning,taper turning and boring,,tnx,,

There is a single sensor on the spindle creating one pulse per revolution.  The software (like MACH3 CNC) synchronizes to this to run the lead screw at a ratio to the spindle speed.

Yes. The lathe from scrap metal and cold rolled steel and the Electronic Lead Screw is a project I've been working on with support from the Yahoo group ELeadscrew.

Schematics, Board layout and software will all be released under GNU license.

Cost for project will be under $150
