  • the music is awesome, but they look like androids.

  • originally sung and recorded by Dionne Warwick. Aretha Franklin was one of many artist who sung it. I personally think Aretha sang it better.

  • Yesterday music arrangement was not that good. I Feel Pretty --- was wrong. I meant Pretty Woman. Thanks for all your beautiful music. I luv it!

  • Wonderful music! Beautiful musical arrangement. Breathtaking! I like few of the music you played ---- Yesterday, I feel Pretty, Tequila, there were others. I got good taste for good music and always look for new talents on You Tube.

  • beautiful arrangement!

  • where/when was that?

  • @SKFrance

    japan / 2005

  • @BrainTetsujin17 which show??

  • @SKFrance

ohiru desuyo fureai hooru (2004-2005), a show about foods.

vanilla mood was the house band of the show.

  • Brilliant arrangement! Bacharach must love this!

  • hey awesome person, can you see if you can find the other songs they did? I know they did a cover of Sleigh Ride n stuff, where the hell can I find these? do they have these performences on dvd or something? I'd like to see the Christmas covers again, since it's coming up to Christmas time :)

  • I love the flautist in this ensemble. I can't believe she left :(

  • Marionerki

  • Anyway, this classic is a Dionne Warwick original - but I love both versions! Aretha's and Dionne's, they're quite different interpretations. Peace! :-)

  • "I Say a Little Prayer" is a song written by songwriters Burt Bacharach and Hal David for Dionne Warwick in 1967.-Wikipedia. No need to edit "winrysdarkside". You are correct.

  • AMAZING !!! I LOVE THIS, HUGE FAN !

  • They could make more money and have more success making suki suki movies.

  • Mariko on the cello is incredibly sexy.

  • ys....this is great!

  • it would have been nice to add a Marimba for a bit of bass and percussive effect.

  • nice! :)

  • moonie? what the hell is "moonie?"

  • A Moonie is a member of a cult. Sometimes cult members get these very zoned-out xombie-like faces. Check out a couple of these musicians ....kinda "blissed out" look. It's okay. It was a wisecrack, a joke. It's very Lawrence Welk, easy-going, pretty music. I'd like to listen to maybe 10 minutes of it when I was in a really relaxed mood. I love Burt Bacharach but prefer the newer jazz arrangements or Trijntje Oosterhuis' "WHO'll SPEAK FOR LOVE," Grammy-nominated last year.

  • Isnt this song when they sing "Forever, Forever!" I think, but i dunno the name x(

  • You're right, that's the one.

  • It's called "Say a Little Prayer For You."

  • yes, it is :P

  • very nice ladies!!! I like your arrangement!

  • Lindo!Belíssimo!Amei!

  • The original recording was by Dionne Warwick. This version is true to the spirit of the Bacharach/David composition. I liked DIonne's version better than Aretha's. It's a little song calling for the sort of light touch Vanilla Mood gives it here. Greg G. of Portland

  • AWESOME COVER!!!!!!!!!!!

    *hands clinched* {thought}(please don't sing)(please don't sing)

    SUCCESS!!!! ;D

I really did love what yall did with this classic. Not singing made it waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better. I just know there would be an accent to their english. With the reputation Aretha Franklin has made for this song I couldn't love it.

ps: I do love foreign music; just not when they cover American classics. It just doesn't work

  • You might have already seen it, but search for Rahsaan Roland Kirk's cover of this song. So unique, it's almost a completely different song. Craziness!

  • you need a clue. The most popular version by far was Dionne Warwick's. And nothing is waaaayyyyyyyy better than her version, as you put in fanboy terms.

  • actually burt bacharach wrote it and aretha sung it .

    this is GREAT

  • There's a reason why most musicians don't smile too much when they play their instruments. It looks damn creepy.

  • yea i notice that too lol

  • It's true. Besides most of us are too busy playing! It takes a lot more energy. 8D

  • Yui!!u are so beautiful!!!

  • ACTUALLY say a little prayer is by aretha franklin

  • good on ya mate.

What idiot voted your comment down...I don't know

  • thank u for the comment. i'll edit the information.

  • @winrysdarkside Don't edit anything. You were right in ther first place.

  • wrong it's not BY Aretha Franklin. It's BY Burt Bacharach. He wrote it FOR Dionne Warwick. Aretha covered it several months LATER.

  • @emoboi1031 "I Say a Little Prayer" is a song written by songwriters Burt Bacharach and Hal David for Dionne Warwick in 1967.-Wikipedia. Look it up. Please get your facts straight before you tell somebody they are wrong.

  • @emoboi1031 She sang it but she didn't write it :P~

  • @emoboi1031 Dionne Warwick actually sang it first. Areatha's version is probably the most popular.

  • @emoboi1031 Actually, Aretha Franklin recorded it, but it is by Burt Bacharach and Hal David.

  • didn't really get the begining.

i started to get it after.

  • impressive arrangement and performance.

  • Oh, different. Keiko plays awesome the piano! and Waka is like Ayumi Hamasaki twin!.

  • Beautiful! And I'm not talking about the song... jk!

    Everything was great!

  • to many good reviews, no one would dare to critizie them negativley! so im glad there is no reason to, just perfect!

  • Wait till they get popular, lol. Then the criticisms will start -pouring- in, mostly in part from the fans who were aware of VM prior to their success.

its actually quite good cept japanese pop is a little too cheery for me XD but being from the UK u suppose were all depressed here :P

  • After I watched this a few times, Keiko looks... doll-like. Maybe it's her smile. :/

  • ^^ Awesome! I love Vanilla Mood! Makes me proud to be Japanese

  • critisizing people! They arent blind, cant expect them to look at their playing, they're experts

  • Wow, if people think they're blind, then you have no idea what you're talking about. That's a stupid idea; you should know that professionals practice hours at a time almost everyday. If you practice that much, you're gonna eventually memorize it. Plus, it's hard turning pages so you kind of have to memorize the music if you're gonna perform.

  • At the end, the piano player is out of sync...

  • No dude, the piano is being followed to the ending. Watch it again.

  • dude your a fucking noob honestly , there fucking amazing , and the japanese people are more technilogically advanced than any other people on this planet so really ... you should stfu , they prolly designed half the stuff in your very own home , and i highly suspect the japanese will lead us into the future .. not america or europe

  • maybe... but they dont need to sing, and play better than all of us who comming from europe and America!

  • lol, grow up.

  • such a stupid comment...

  • While you're riding around on your high hirse I'll remind you that none of you idiots think anything of breaching their copyright. Remove the video and my comments will disappear.

  • Hm. Breaching copyright? Is it illegal to post TV rips on youtube?

    [Just out of curiosity.]

  • Yws it is illegal to post any body of work without the authors permission.

  • Since it appears that way, youtube will probably remove it (the videos) themselves if the "author" (probably the broadcasting station) complains, right?

  • It appears SOMEONE is in need of love and affection. XP

Spamming like this isn't cool, and it wastes precious bandwidth. To think that it all started out as a racist comment using a 99 cent word processor.. :/

  • I think Japanese ppl are some of the prettiest but they just act so quirky in this video its funny :)

  • it's called... PASSION.

  • awsome!

  • awesome!

  • Totally AWESOME!! Jordin Sparks is gonna win American Idol!~!

  • I love the violist she THE HOTTEST!!!!!!!!!!!!! why when they play it's like they're blind...lol

  • Is the pianist blind? they all look away when they're playing.

  • mariko you know the one who plays the cello is born on the same day as me just like i think 12 years before me and we play the same instrument

  • This is beautiful. A goldmine for music lovers. This group os easy on the ears, I love their style. I wish I could get an album with this song on it.

  • I love Waka and yui they are my favorite!! I LOVE VANILLA MOOD!!!
