@Twentysixbillion Eve is a amazeing game and no the sound effects are good .. and the ingame soundtrack is good aswell If you'd like a free trial i have a few to offer but why evryone has music in there vids is couse once youve heard the same sounds / same music for a long time you liek to change it up ... also eve ingame offers a MP3 player so you can use your own music in game, i highly recomend trying the game out ... especially when you can try it for free

I stay away from my FPS' for the same reason. I have important things to be doing, but I love gaming as my downtime. I dont even have a good video card on my PC so not much point, just wanted to see what a few friends were playing. Looks cool :)

When you're flying with a, let's say, 50-men-fleet to meet another fleet with about the same size and the clash's finally there - in this very moment, there's more adrenalin in your body than sugar in coke.

Now multiply the numbers with factor 3-4 and you'll have an average battle in 0.0 space.

Great game, great pvp, fun times. But graphics are a bit ugly, I'll admit. ;D

Nah, it's not just the graphics, mate. The most important element of each and every game is the gameplay itself. Graphics can suck as much as they want as long as the game's incredible fun. And EVE is one of those games, just like Minecraft, Warcraft etc. ;)

Interesting how everyone abandoned STO and went back to EVE and whatever else they play. STO's only enduring quality is really two things, the fact it's star trek and the fact it's really simple to understand. (Oh and the fact if your ship blows up you don't loose it forever...) But EVE is well... I don't know it's well the only good Space Simulation game out there where you just have one ship to look after.

Don't worry about "missing your chance" with that corp, there are countless corps out there recruiting, people who want to get new players and help them understand the game, get better and eventually become a vital part of the corp. For now just take it easy, I'd recommend joining Eve University or a friendly corp that focuses on stuff like missions and more easy going things rather than a hardcore pvp nullsec corp. @tombee2 legit fleets don't usually troll for noobs- the corps that troll for noob members are usually looking to exploit noobs in some way (making them slaves to do menial chores or exploit them financially, use them as bait, etc). i think you did right by turning it down, you most likely missed out on a chat room. the best corps have some pretty strict requirements for joining. don't ever ask a corp to help you "get geared up" thats the fastest way to get them to target you for exploitation

In real life you have social rules and a whole judical system - eve is an emerging nation by comparison where your safety is guaranteed by your own strength and what allies you have.

Of course being attacked in real life has more severe consequences than in the game, but in the game people are a hundred times more likely to act like assholes, just to put their boot to your face for no reason other than to show who's boss in his 0.0

By the way, I never played eve - too much of a cheapskate.

Industry = I don't do much of this myself, but I do have more than one account I use for mining to make basic modules/ships. lets start with mining~ you lock an astroid/icicle and click your mining laser, after the cycle ends, ore appears in your ships cargo hold. You can either sell it as is, or refine it. Now this is where the other parts come in. If you decide to not sell it as is, you can use the Minerals to make modules, or make components to make better modules...thats the just of it...

Eve online has a huge Learning curve...but I'm guessing its that way so you realize that there's more strategy to it than just running in guns blazing (although you an do it...but you probably wont survive long). There are different aspects of eve: Industry(includes mining, production, Research, and invention), PvP (pretty much says it...but if you don't know, Player vs. Player), and PvE(Player vs Environment) PvE is done in missions mostly, but can be done where ever u see red/white +

Just give it a shot...and yes, learning to fly new ships isnt a matter of always being on...its more a matter of being online when you skill ends to train a new one. BUT...a good one I might say, their adding a skill que for a max of 24 hours...for when your not going ot be on in the morning, and want the skill to finish training, you simply add another skill that wont go past the 24 hour time...that way as long as you log in within the next 24 or so hours, you can change to a longer skill.

domis dont get a armor tanking bonus, so you can tank whatever the hell you want on them. its just alot easier to armor tank. you could, for example, passive shield tank a megathron. but its alot easier to armor tank it. youre just a narrow minded ass. but the stabs i agree.
