i know this doesnt have anything to do with luke schenn but i just want to say that the salary cap is the worst thing thats ever happend to the nhl. there are NO more trades anymore, there used to be a pretty big trade at least every month. now there is 2 days of trade, deadline and draft. the salary cap was intended to help out the poor teams like phoenix, nashville and tampa and which teams this year are almost going bankrupt?? the ones that they tried to make it easier for . salary cap sucks.
For all the success the Leafs had earlier this decade, they always lacked a defenseman who would make you pay the price. While the Schenn deal isn't cheap, he'll be well worth it.

Actually, the booing is good, it shows what a bitter rivalry exists between the two teams and rivalries is what the NHL and any other professional league wants. I'd prefer Schenn doesn't make the Leafs next season. He shouldn't be rushed. With Kaberle, Kabina (he played great last 1/4 of the season) Stralman, Finger, Coliacavo and White, Leafs have enough defensive depth. And with Toskela and Joseph, Leafs will cut their goals against big time. Leafs will probably tank next year which is good; they'll get another high draft choice in 09. You say Leafs are stupid but Fletcher was very smart to trade up in the draft to get Schenn.
